  • G'day Folks and thanks for taking the time to watch the video. Just in case you're interested, l have drawn up a set of Metric and Imperial Plans along with a complete Materials and Resource List. This is a great project for anyone interested in getting the most out of their router. Here is a link to the plans. They will save you a lot of time. Well worth a look 👍 etsy.me/3kJODNP

  • I really enjoy the look of this table! I'm going to keep my eye open for a black surfaced plywood, looks great (not sure if it's sold here in the US). For those watching this that are starter woodworkers or are unsure if you want to put in the track, a very simple solution for the fence is to move those triangular rear supports in a few inches, then simply use clamps on the edges to hold the fence in place. You don't need to worry about it being square to the table as long as it's square to the router bit!

    • It's forming plywood used for foundations. Your local building supply may be able to order it. Go to the local builders supply where the framers and builders shop instead of the big box stores. You can also use melamine board with plywood as a backer for a 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" total thickness.

Then bought an ozito router table , it works real well for smaller jobs .

I look forward to building it. I really love your channel and do a LOT of DYI projects, having the router, which I bought specifically to build my hobby desk. I have only used the one 1/8th inch slot bit to install T-Slot Edge Moulding with, it has not been used much. I cannot wait to have this built up to be able to work on many different projects, such as more tool DIY hacks... and some diorama and epoxy art beses. Will update with how it goes. Thanks again, Cheers!

  • This is by far the best looking (IMHO) DIY router table I have seen on You Tube. When I first saw the thumbnail photo of it, I thought you were doing a review of a router table that you had bought commercially. That is meant to be a compliment. I was lucky enough to buy a Ryobi router and table from a guy who just wanted it to do the trim on his kitchen cabinet doors. I only paid 40 bucks for both the table and router! It works beautifully. I may build yours at a later date when I need a table with more surface area. One last thing, if you have any of that black ply left over, I think it would be really cool to build a small T-square to match your table. Great work, thanks!
