Adelaide Airport is Australia's 5th busiest airport and the primary airport to serve the state of South Australia. The airport offers some fantastic vantage point to video the aircraft in action, with many unobstructed views of the runways and taxiways! This video features 30 minutes of action primarily from runway 23 and a few arrivals and take-offs from runway 05!
In November of last year there was a surprise visit of the Antonov AN124 so I decided to drive overnight to catch its departure. Adelaide Airport gets a number of heavy aircraft movements throughout the morning which I tried getting as many different angles of as possible. Also making a special appearance this weekend was the Titan A321-200N operating a special "around Australia" charter. This aircraft also visited Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Cairns.

Today’s is my birthday! I didn’t celebrate today.
Do not fly qantas;cabin crew rude/racist/arrogant;food lousy and stale;airline uses 2nd hand parts and tyres are re-treads.
I just can't understand the reasoning behind a company's decision to operate a flight like QR989 on a 55mins leg using a fucking 777-300ER!!!! I mean how does that translate to efficiency, profitability and sustainability? If the reason is to simply pick up passengers to leave AU full, then why not use a code share with a regional carrier and have them meet the plane at MEL instead? Using of course a regional plane (319, E195, etc)? By far landing and tower costs for a widebody surpass the benefits of such a short haul just to pick up passengers. This example shows just how tight and slim are operating margins for these airlines nowadays.
