A Lange and Sohne make the most beautiful movements. They say you can take any A Lange and Sohne watch back to where the movement was made and they can tell who exactly made that specific watch bc the detail in the movement is unique to the watchmaker. Would be a cool video idea.
You're thinking about the engraving on the balance bridge as far as the movement itself It's assembled by a handful of people depending on the watch.

It’s an important collection now. The Zeitwerk takes him into a different league.
The green Glashütte is truly AMAZING. What a great buy! Flyback = you can restart a chronograph without first stopping it Retrograde = a retrograde dial displays a function in a linear fashion, as opposed to a circular fashion - often seen in subdials for seconds Guilloché = the art of executing fine and intricate patterns on any surface - in the watch world used to describe hand patterned dials Côtes de Genève = a type of movement decoration created using a lathe with a circular polishing brush - which is seen on the Elgin movement Michael shows. This beautiful movement is also engraved with classic patterns which we do not have a specific name for in the world of watch nerds. President = a specific bracelet made by Rolex. There are also Jubilee, Pearlmaster and Oyster bracelet types. The Oysterquartz Michael bought features a version of the Oyster bracelet which was specific for this model (if not mistaken - I am not a true Rolex expert)

I own a Glashütte Original Panomaticlunar, very shocked and pleased to see Michael purchased one. IMO it's the best value at under $10k, stunning on camera and better in person.
Really surprised by the A. Lange & Sohne and Glashutte Original, super nice.
Gold oysterquartz is an unexpected treat. The A lange & Sohne is as good as watchmaking gets.

Adam needs to have a look at the seiko Marinemaster 300m a great size for him as well as being rather special and just another level of watch from seiko, made in the grand seiko factory and has a grand seiko movement.

Rolex only made like a few hundred of the quartz watches so good on Michael for finding one, VERY VERY rare find.

A Lange being his favorite watch, knowing what he was collecting only a few years back, is pretty amazing. It's been fun to follow Michael on his journey. And with that Elgin, I wonder if Michael will venture into vintage and more obscure brands.
No Lie, the fact that PMichael has a GO panomaticlunar, really shows he's getting into watches. Such an underrated brand/watch in that price range.

Vortic Watches started here in Fort Collins Co. super mom and pop/small business. Gained some movement when Kevin O’Leary started wearing them. Proud of all they have accomplished!
Close; we actually gained a lot more recognition when the Swatch Group tried to sue us into oblivion and lost. However, the recognition Teddy Baldassarre and Kevin O'Leary have given us certainly helps!

When you’re filming you can adjust the camera for a specific lighting setting do some research on you’re specific camera to have a specific setting when you’re are in the house outside or in a business especially to get rid of the bright whiteness in the window

That's the reality of the World, today! The Rich get richer and the toys that they enjoy drive or wear... Would feed a family for 10 years or more and the poor get poorer and can't afford to feed their family so turn to Crime! I'm not saying that it's right, it's just the way that the World of today is!!! Michael was working washing pans in the Kitchen on a British Army Base in Germany, humble beginnings. He deserves to enjoy the fruits of his labours. I am not passing judgements but I am stating facts!

I never understood my late dad’s passion for collecting Italian micro mosaics until recently. He bought one in Milan for £2,400 in 1988. I sold it last week for £84,000. Nice one dad. His passion has looked after the whole family.

For those watching, you WILL NOT find a more beautifully finished movement for under $10,000 than the Glashutte Panomaticlunar. It's an affordable, true haute horologie timepiece.

They do good work, but we're still big fans of what the great American watchmakers built back in the day.

That oyster quartz was an absolute bargain imo , just don’t be leaving it in the safe and forgetting about it with the battery in,may leak , can’t imagine that would be easy to service. 🤪

These Elgins never fail to impress.
Fyi, and I'm sure someone may have mentioned it. But that sea dweller adjustment is the micro adjuster. For the wet suit partz of you fully pull out the micro adjuster there are 3 parts of folder steel that consertiner/fold out for the wetsuit making the bracelet even bigger.
Hats off to Micheal for getting some of the best-looking watches on the market, very classy choices, still the Zeitwerk is my grail watch. Wear them in great health.

Flyback is for chronographs watches,you can restart the chrono seconds pushing a button, retrograde instead if when you have the seconds going back like in Michael watch

I simply adore & respect the beauty, construction, craftsmanship & artistic creativity in these watches & it’s a pleasure to see them, as I’ve never owned one in my 54 years of life this far. In addition, since I’m a large built woman (6’1”) and “big boned” (8.5” wrist) I’ve always had to wear men’s jewelry; as they don’t make women’s large enough for my wrist. I quickly learned that the price of mens watches, bracelets, etc. are considerable for quality, so it’s always remained a dream. That Lange is fucking amazing! Lange makes the most beautiful movements as well, plus they give all of their movements the same treatment regardless of price point, unlike Patek where only their high price watches get the full treatment, plus Lange offers much more bang for your buck, than Patek for example. Lange is really the pinnacle of watchmaking in my book. And oh my god!!! You got the Glashütte as well! Awesome, mate! Although, I would’ve gone for the Panoreserve in rose gold or alternatively the limited platinum version of the Panoreserve, but nonetheless it’s a beautiful watch and I love the green dial!

the dive extention you showed is actually the glidelock system. when you pull it out you got the fliplock system aswell for wet suits

you need to be very careful with the one that once was a pocket watch because it doesn’t have a shock absorbing system and the balance shaft will brake quite easily

You can tell that Michael's taste changed over time. But I am so glad that no matter what, he is always so happy with his purchases and so willing to share with us 😊 BTW, my favourite watch of the bunch is the Rolex Deepsea. I felt that I could wear that on any occasion.

The Rolex quartz is the second quartz that Rolex made. The watch itself is called the Day Date with President bracelet. Beautiful get! One rarely sees that quartz.
