I love that you love gardening too.. I’m with you with those Supertunias by Proven Winners! I won’t buy any other brand of petunias because they just don’t perform like the Supertunias by Proven Winners and if you put a little water soluble miracle grow plant food on them every two weeks they will just explode and make you feel like a Master gardener🤭. I love the Supertunia Vista Bubblegum. They do Amazing! Please keep us updated on the progress of it all😊

Hello Trina, I live in the Houston area and I planted lemon coral sedum last year and it was one of the first things to come up this year. Your calla lilies are beautiful, but try to give them a break from this hot, hot Houston sun. I live in the Houston area and when summer comes some things struggle. Your garden is beautiful. I am interested to see how your hydrangeas grow. Your garden is beautiful and it really helps our environment. A you plant more you will learn where and how your micro climate works. Don't fertilize the lemon coral sedum they will not like it, and they also don't need much water. Happy gardening 🥰

That sedum is beautiful. I had some planted in my greenstalk. This past freeze took it all the way out. Thanks for bringing the thought of them back around. I will be looking to purchase more and maybe this time a different location. I’m also in Houston. Beautiful garden space! 💜🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Hey Trina! The way I hollered at these gardening streets! 😂🤣 Im with you on that one. I saw a snake for the first time in our yard. The way I ran and went to Homedepot to grab some suffer and lime. I was in my yard getting a workout earlier today. Love your yard, a beautiful oasis.😊 Sidenote, get yourself a drill auger. It attaches to the drill. It digs the holes for you. This saved me so much time.

I live in Houston too. For the weeds you should mulch at least 3inches deep. That will help.

Cardboard works much better than landscape fabric which is TERRIBLE! I use a few layers of cardboard and have only replaced it once in a few years. More environmentally friendly and easier to work around. Your yard looks so nice. Love your plant choices. I’m up north, but am able to plant many of your choices. My compost pile is my go to to add in hole for new plants.

Hi Trina love the garden, your petunia will come back they require a lot of water. Just so you know Home depot will allow returns on all plant up to twelve months if they die...They are to expensive to throw away just return and replace...

When you mulch the other side of the bed maybe try the cardboard method it really keeps the weeds down. You could use a few layers of it and it breaks down and feeds the soil. I love the color scheme. It’s gonna really pop!

Such pretty flower beds! Love your choices of plants. If my petunias are leggy then I take the scissors to them. Makes them bunch up and better clusters. Can’t wait to see all the pretties as they grow

Hey Trina, love your yard. What is the name of those grasses on the back of the fence? The petunias are just thirsty and you can always cut them back.

Trina I simply love your garden and landscape flower beds. I live in Houston, I never dig holes when planting I always plant on top of the ground add potting soil mix around my plants, been doing this for over 30 years. Only dig a hole if I plant a tree or shrubs. You are amazing!
