Wow that’s a lot of info kev
The esc motor combos you use seem to be very powerful... Could you tell me one suitable for 2 - 3s?
That’s soo much info kev🤣
@@C0BBL3 bro you copied me
Just a question for you Kevin I know the 205 mile an hour car had the wheel wells cut out but I was wondering if your aerodynamics wouldn't be better without the whole setup for the wheels? I mean if I were you I would order up another body like yours and trim it down but not cut out where the wheel wells are and leave everything completely covered for better aerodynamics. I realize I could be wrong with this comment but I'm just asking a question. And I am only suggesting this because some of the land speed record cars had covered wheel wells
One of my favorite things about watching Kev's videos. He rarely takes the safe route, using things that are meant for each other, things designed and known to work together. His "I have no idea if this is going to work or not." attitude is one of the things that make his channel so great!
Yes..... You... are.... absolutely.... Correct...
@@debjitroy6216 I'm.... glad... you... agree....
Yes, and I can't believe how much he spends on one video. Sometimes he spends a ton just to build something that "might work!"
Every time he fails on a project the projects always become bigger and better like the 100 MPH off-road speed car
The best part of this hobby is when you know what works with what, I do the same thing and break parts but it’s worth the fun
When will we see max 4 in raminator?
Just an idea Kev!! If you do a new body I wouldn't cut out the wheel arches, with them cut out it increases drag (I think) thus making the car slower and possibly less stable
That's what I was thinking
Well, the rear arches yes, but the front arches might NEED to be cut out, but maybe no “fully” cut out
@@Crummieboi56 I forgot about steering, maybe special wheels with fins on like the Porsche RSR cars
@@Crummieboi56 this is built for top speed so there is no need for it to turn
I think if its done properly wheel cut outs are beneficial (and basically all faster race cars like lmp1, lmp2 and most gt3 cars use some sort of those). But on rc cars its probably a different story since the body allows air to flow through anyways. Or something like that
Even on camera that motor looks absolutely MAHOOSIVE , I can’t even begin to imagine how big it is in person
About the size of a medium can of soda
That's what she said
@@colecotten26 😏
You should keep the covers on the rear wheel because it would be more aerodynamic because the parts that are moving don't disturb the air flow.
Exaclty
It’s about time we had more on this Mr Talbot.
I agree, I’ve been waiting for this as well, 205, 206, 207…
I can't imagine the worth of all these rc cars and parts in this garage. Absolute insanity!
In my opinion, I think Raz has set the standard on how to build a proper speed car.
Kev, ur doing the Diff Ring/Pinion mesh a bit wrong. Just like with Spur/Motor Pinion mesh, you want it to be ever so slightly loose instead of ever so slightly tight, so the drivetrain spins without resistance. I think one less shim on the Diff Pinion might be just about perfect.
And with these rc products they won't likely be micro polished, it would be a good idea to actually get a polishing compound and bed in the gears. He could also get a rc Dyno and just test different shining for power, just use a small motor for the testing
M all for going over board but that’s a little wild, an RC dyn
@@xrymes4450 how do you think they tune brushed motors? Clocking the armature/brushes makes a big difference in measured power. My neighbor took his Dyno to the races to make sure that the motor he put in was tweaked right. No reason why it couldn't be used to tune a differential. Frankly, I would be ditching the diffs and going belt drive in this scenario, but that's me
Those are new gears. When they run in ,they will losen up.
I love it, Kevin! You never skimp on power! Let's go! I hope everything is still going well with the Monster Truck. When are you coming to Monster Jam in America? I will let you send my XMAX to the moon if you come! lol
Bro we should send x maxes together!
Hi love the speed car vids
I love your RC car videos!!!
Yay kev made a new video!
So nice to see this record series coming back. It was the reason for me to subscribe to the channel and was really sad when no updates came for a long time. I'm so pumped what comes next 😁
You should think about using ceramic bearings... for top speed it changes a lot! Really nice project!!!
I'd love to see kev and the speedy cars fly out to see Raz for a few weeks for some intense speedrun action and development!
In Raz last video, he mentioned that he was going to visit Kevin in England! Hope they do a couple of vids together! That would be awsome!
I agree. Would be like watching rc porn! Hahha!!!
Kev, you have the creativity and the brains to do this, big props to you man. Great Work.
210 mph....i expect nothing less Kev!!!!
Found this channel by a fluke a couple of days ago, just ordered my first RC car:) A fantastic channel!
Welcome aboard!
This channel always puts a smile on my face!
You are one hell of a rc mechanic and fab person Kevin. Love all your videos. You just do stuff and get it done. I just sit back and watch with amazement.
Kevin it's great to see how your channel is growing and growing.I remember sometime ago when i was wondering if it will reach 1 million and now you're in your way to 2 million subs.Keep up this good work and congratulations, for me yours is the best RC channel on KZhead by far.
Kev, for the other, dual motor car, you should try and get some super fast sensor motor, i feel that part of the problem was the wheels going at different speeds!
Fascinating to watch, therapeutic even (all those parts would be a nightmare for me) looking forward to the next episode, thank you, Kevin.
What I like about this channel, and I’ve been watching it since you had like under 100k. Is that the format has not changed. That easier said than done I reckon. Nice work over the years Kevin. Hard work has paid off 🤘🏻
Great video sir!! I love how this RC community links up with other enthusiasts!!! all around fun and great energy!!! Looking forward to your record attempt!!!
That's a mint idea with the tape! 👍
Kevin please put the motor and esc on the same side, so you have more room for batteries on the other side. Also tilt the esc on the side to shorten the length of the motor wires.
Best RC channel on YT!!! Keep it up Kev!
I was wanting a looong time for this finally!
Nice work Kev. Looking forward to seeing this thing go.
Have you considered maybe building something with a fan that sucks it to the ground like the recent Goodwood record holding car. Could be a first, RC car with ground effect... With ground effect you might be able to get away with just RWD...allowing for more space for the fan.
I’ve seen someone that already done it somewhere in the internet
Rctestflite I believe
You made a good point about 'bedding in' the gears. I wonder if it's standard practice to run it gently for a few days and then tear it down, clean up the gears and re-lube them.
If something is grabbing or sticking when you spin it like the diffs, and you try to go get the car to bed in.. that’s not a good thing.. and another prime example this guy has no idea what he’s doing..
It should be smooth before it's run at all. But yea a good cleaning and inspection after breakin is always a good thing.
Wouldn't it be better with the original body instead of the one your using
Taking that level of convenience into a project that complicated blows my mind!
Best presentation and editing on youtube! I'm not even into the RC hobby but can't stop watching!
What was the first rc speed car made out of?
Yes! The series is back
Kevin, ur my inspiration. I started my new job today at Marlow ropes. I've been a carer for the wife for a few years now n really wanted to get bk into work again. I'd love to have loads of rc cars like u. Big thanku to u. One day i'll get my driving test done and i'll get my classic mini cooper s.
What a freaking sick build! Can’t wait to see it run!
Monster trucks! Epic jumps! World speed records! Kev's channel has it all! Can't wait!
looks great! can't wait to see the test run.
I’ve watched a few of these fastest rc videos and can’t understand why they aren’t putting more effort into aerodynamics
Can’t wait to see it in action and break world records! Awesome build.
I don't know why I resisted watching this video. It was really fun and another masterclass in making bench videos entertaining. Nice work :)
Sweet another ARRMA killing everything out there ....in my OPINION!!!!!
You should be the Dean of rc university..period
Looks sick!
Omg , you are ProjectAir
Dude I can't believe you agreed to take me out in the monster truck! Big respect!
wut
Huh
Love the tip for finding out screw whole locations. Very helpful Kev!
thank raz for that one!!
wish i could get my hands on those parts you threw aside . Gorgeous build this
wow great channel. subscribed. 57 year old bloke from sweden here that used to love rc cars back in the 80's
One potential weak point is where the motor/diff mount attaches to the chassis, could add a metal plate to make it more rigid.
Right 👍 on kev glad to see you working on the speed car .
Im glad somebody is finally doing this setup!
Noo bad comments, you started me and my son on a bonding hobby we both will never forget..thanks from Canada.
0:13 That is one THICC motor
Love it!!! Why is it whenever I shop for servos I always say, “all metal case all metal gear” in my head? 😂
Get the record! Spend the time and find the perfect road or runway. Hope you smash the record. These speed runs even more entertaining than the bashing.
Epic build Kev, cannot wait to see her go 👍🏻
Something the RC car parts makers (any brands) should make is a chassis that has no holes pre drilled so you can pick how the placement of all the motors and stuff works and drill all the holes yourself
might as well cut the chassis yourself lmao
Kev, don't ever change my dude... Loving your content & I'm thoroughly enjoying laughing out loud when miss fortune happens 👍
1st time I watch any of your videos and it's insanely interesting. The knowledge you have with the ins and outs of these toys is crazy, I wouldn't have the slightest idea where to start with anything on them haha.
I love your videos so much they make .e happy and laugh alot...thx for the amazing videos u film and produce for everyone to watch.
Doesn't matter what the topic is hearing someone who is genuinely excited about what they are doing just makes it interesting
I love your vids kev, im subscribed
That's one sweet looking bit of kit . Motor is a big un lol . Looking forward to seeing how this project turns out 👍
I just wanna say thank you, not sure if you are gonna read this but I’ve been watching your channel for a few years and roughly 7-8 months ago I realized I wasn’t subbed and was like why am I not. With that being said you have made me realize it was time for me to peruse my passion and dream to start my own RC hobby shop. Watching you enjoy life and doing what you love I wanna pass my love on to others for RC so I decided to open a shop so again I say thank you and continue doing what you love!
good luck!!!
Great look on the RC ...
This is going to be epic kev! I can’t wait to see this max 4 come to life in this car! 💪🏼
You make all that teardown look entertaining. Great video as always. God bless
Absolutely Epic! Always love the fact that Kevin truly loves this hobby, and makes these great videos for all of us to enjoy! I'm located in Canada 🇨🇦 and my goal is to send Kev some redcat products to bash!
you should try using a rc dyno to test out the speed
Kev inspired me to buy my first rd car. I thank him for making me interested in the hobby!
IT IS such a Fun to watch, how you build a very expansive, very fast Car. The Trick at 7:10 is realy good 👍 Cool to learn some New Things, that Help.
hey Kevin. love your videos. will be exciting if you can make it run so fast. hope you find a proper paved road to drive on. We look forward to the next video. big love from Denmark
Love it kev. You always have brilliant ideas! And Crazy electronics
That motor is mahooosive! Looking forward to seeing the shakedown run.
Finally we’re back with it
Speaking as a mechanic, I wish I could rebuild a differential that easily at work. Really cool to see them in miniature, though. Cheers from America.
Arrma’s are such a pain in the ass to work on. SOOOO many screws to take out simple things.
no matter what, us as subscribers will always will be here and always will be watching what you do next. and like you always mentioned, if you believe in something, then things can come true. sometimes you fail, but i believe that you'll accomplish what you want to do. 210MPH! that's what i'm hoping for when everything is tweeted the right way. cheers and see you in the next one!
Its going to be an epic show down for the cars. All the beat fella with the world's fastest rc car record. I think you'll smash it
Something is going to get smashed you can believe that kev is deff not scared to smash shit lol hahaha🤣😂😁👍
Kev.. I enjoy your videos so much... I can't get enough of it...... P. S. Good luck with your projects... Hoping both cars can do over 205...
OH YEAH, so excited to see if breaks the record. If the record holder is watching this he is probably shaking and having a heart attack.
Tis is crazy man !! I am looking forward !!!💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥
Luv the way he chucked all the parts in the box 📦
Brilliant video, can’t Waite to see this new car go 200mph
Haven't watched you in ages! Awesome videos as always
Ginormous?..... I'll allow it cos these videos are EPIC!!!
Oh my gosh kev that motor is MAHOOSIVE!
This man has to much FUN.
Kev a tip, put 20 of those motors into the snowboard car
Makes complete sense to me Kev, I always feel down when I crash my only rig and can't keep playing
i cant watch a video of yours out loud now with out my 2 years old screaming "cool truc" haha
I do love these speed run builds! I don't know when you recorded this video, however, we have some sunny dry, and possibly very hot weather on the way for us in the UK. We don't want nasty rain and wind stopping the testing and shake-down runs. :)
Ridiculous in the best way! Love it!
go get'em Kev. this going to be interesting. can't wait until the next video...see what that BIG BOI do.
I bet you will make it this time, Because you learnt from every mistake last time.
