Produced, directed, and filmed by Shekar Dattatri, this film was commissioned by the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, Mysuru, India, to commemorate its 125th year of existence. With its old-world charm, clean and green surroundings, spacious enclosures, and well-cared for animals, it is clearly one of the best zoos in Asia. Being a Pak Veterinarian, I am extremely happy to see the level of dedication of para vet staff, vets, management of the zoo. Height of professionalism... Thumbs up and love from Pakistan. ❤️ In Pakistan, there is not even a single (Government) Zoo which can match up the standard of this zoo except some Private Safari Parks around the Lahore. 🔥 Mysore zoo is probably the only zoo in our country which takes care of the animals like no other. I have been to a few zoo's and I can guarantee that. You feel very close to nature there. Just the kind of experience one needs to have when visiting the zoo. Thank you to all the caretakers for taking care of the animals and birds there!! ❤️
Mysuru Zoo has a special corner in our hearts. Been here as a boy for the first time from school in Bangalore and since then, endless journeys to the zoo. Mysuru kings were really pro-people. Their initiatives to bring up the state are praiseworthy. Mrugalaya or Mysuru zoo is the noblest of all. Thank you team for taking us to yonder days.
Bond of animals with staff is what i like the most, staff members are the soul of this zoo. I have been to many zoos but just because of this beautiful documentary i learned so many things to which i was totally unaware before
its not a pride of mysore or karnataka .. its the pride of India.. be proud to be an Indian. we are one from kashmir to kanyakumari. but special salute and respect to the zookeepers and management. you make us proud. Jai Hind !!

This is one of the best in world honestly.
I last visited the zoo in 1948 as a child when at that time I had the pleasure to see a (albino)white elephant.My grand Uncle Mr. Royale had been a veterinarian in the horses and elephants stables during the installation of the Rajas private zoo. His picture I saw that was put up in the office room that he occupied during his tenure at the stables.
I want to become a zoo keeper in this wonderful zoo. Better than my engineering job anyday

Mysore Zoo is an exemplary wild life establishment which deserves National recognition /award.
Respect for dedicated staffs which makes it one of the best zoos in India.
No wonder the Mysuru zoo is rated very high.It's a beautifully illustrated documentary and makes it an outstanding piece of marketing.

Never visited Mysuru but I find this city really fascinating. One of India's cleanest cities, great historical significance and then this great, well-maintained zoo! I am sure it's a treat for every tourist

This is really beautiful zoo, it's obvious the animals are well and happy. I am from Europe, so I will probably never visit this zoo, but my local zoo, Zoo Zlín is part of exchange program with Mysore zoo, and it obtained Sloth bears and Gaurs from India. I visited my local zoo and saw them earlier this week snd they were amazing.
Last year I visited this place and believe me I am sure its one of the most well maintained zoo in India. Again want to visit..

I volunteered at the zoo for a year. I cannot tell how much the animals are attached to their keepers. It’s a very beautiful relationship to see
Maanya and Prithvi are easily the best thing to watch out for. I was here two weeks back and as a cat loving person myself both were quite a sight to endure. Try to go on weekdays preferably mornings, the first batch starting at 8.30am. best zoo in the whole of Asia. Period!

I would rate it 10/10..I have visited it once...it will take time to walk around and watch all those animals and birds... The day I reached their...they had brought a new tiger, it was sleeping...think it was sedated..and there was another one too in a cage, her name was - Manya - still remembering the name... The snake park is also a great one
Fantastic and very well maintained. I want India to be very clean in every place. Hats off to Mysuru Zoo Director and all the people who work for animals. Sometimes I really feel animals have more discipline rather than human beings.

I have been to this zoo and believe me it is so large that it will take at least 6 to 7 hrs for you to roam around and have a proper look at the animals. We were running out of time and had to give just 2 hrs to this exceptional zoo. But now I am happy coz of this video. Brilliant documentary! Hats off 😊

The best animal documentary I have seen so far. Thanks to Sri Chamarajendra Wadiyar for this amazing animal foundation who provided clean environment, food and shelter to these animals. I have visited there twice and it takes you a whole day to walk past these animals, it's a huge place.

It's really great to experience the visit to the zoo in person. Being a Mysurian, visited several times. But this virtual visit, documentary gave me a lot of information on the zoo and it's specialty. Thanks a ton to the makers and staff of the zoo, our ever pride of the Heritage City of Many Wonders.

Namma Mysore.... feeling so proud, born there and this has been my fav place to visit and take my guest there as well.... Now my daughter too loves this place and we make sure to go there multiple times when we visit Zoo....this video is awesome 💓💓💓💓💓

I had been to a zoo in Pune some 6-7 years ago, there I saw the tiger was eating grass and was quite thin. And in 2016 I visited this mysuru zoo and I could actually see the difference. The animals looked far more healthier in mysuru. Was so happy to see them in such good condition. I think all the other zoos in our country need to learn how to maintain animals in a zoo from the Mysuru Zoo.

I worked in mysuru for longtime whenever I visit Mysore I used spent time at zoo only. One of my favourite places in Mysore..
