  • Do we mollycoddle our children ? When mine were that age i still had a guard on my cooker to stop them from getting burnt or pulling a pan over onto themselves. This young child is, not only enjoying every minute of his cooking, he is also very confident and aware of the heat. I congratulate the grandfather who, although keeping a close eye on his grandchild, also had enough confidence in them to allow the child to continue without taking over. Experience is truly the teacher here. A beautiful thing to see.😊❤

    • Americans are very sheltered. Yes there's cultures in america but majority of Americans are uncultured, no traditions, bland boring & sheltered family life. Nothing wrong with that but it leads to children being ignorant, unprepared & inexperienced for many many things later on in life.

    • @@welcometoreality437 true. hearing something is one thing, experiencing it is another. and sometimes you gotta experience it before hopefully learning your lesson. that's why a fello, i think jordan peterson said: "dont stop kids form doing dangerous things, safely." you gotta reasonably protect them from maiming themselves, and particularly girls from ruining their assets,. but if they want to pet a goose and get attacked, or knock down a beehive, or try to wrangle a cat that scratches them, or chase a rooster, (all real life experiences)or scrape a knee, or walking barefoot, ill tell them the warning, and let em. and i dont really comfort my kid, i kinda say i told ya.... my idea is, you get these low level "injuries" and instead of wondering, ( hey this gun looks fun" or "i should use this knife" or "lets jump off this moving car" and risk death, theyll be knowledgable about hwo atleast a cat scratch feels, or a rollerblade scrape feels, be armed with the knife/gun/vehicle safety, and be able to scale the pain and make non life threatening decisions, and be able to appropriately decide risk v reward.
