In this video I make an oak chest for my daughter's room to serve as a storage for her toys.
This time I experimented with cross-cut slises, epoxy resin and bark. I tried to make it steady and strong because I know that my little kids will climb on it.
I'm happy with the outcome. Later I will attach the lifting mechanism to avoid chest cover falling down.

  • This may be the most interesting video I have seen for a long time. You may have the right machines for such project but machines are not everything. It shows amazing techniques, knowledge and devotion, but mostly, patience and attention to detail for such a time consuming project, something that most woodworkers lack. Congratulations !!!

    • True woodworkers have patience and attention to detail, however many KZhead woodworker want to be’s are the ones without the attention to detail and patience. In the world of KZhead there are so many “woodworkers” trying to cash in on being a “maker” but true craftsmen are few and far between.

I especially like the steel sleeves and rods inside the handles and hinges. They will never be seen and there will be ZERO wood on wood friction on those important high wear spots.
