Here's the first full raw lap of the race and some of the final lap. The start puts us on course about the .5 mile marker. I got a terrible start due to the line workers not getting out of the way by the time Ricky started the race. When I did realize others were started and seeing the green flag waving I got started but then just started spinning due to the slippery start area. I went into the woods about 12th. it was a full line with about 18 riders. I ended up losing a couple more positions less than a mile end when I touched the brakes on a super slippery rock surface. I like the rocks and had the suspension set up real well I think for the conditions. The competition is so tough though, that once you all get into that first couple of miles of the first lap its tough making up positions. I got back a couple of positions though and finished the first lap in 11th. To my surprise, because I felt my 2nd lap was pretty good and error free, I was 12th the next lap. My 3rd lap was faster and I ended up crossing in 10th. However, I was passed early on going into the 4th lap. Unfortunately, I was pretty gassed at that point, so I just tried to keep him in site. I think when I took a risky, alternate line going into a difficult and tiring technical section, i must have (unknowingly) made the pass back to 10th - and finished the lap and race in 10th. Although I'm not happy with my result, I liked the track and hope we go back.

  • stumbled upon this...just FYI, I can tell from your video your suspension is deflecting everywhere which is why you are falling and tired.

    • Thanks a lot. It was actually a lot better this race. lol I've been lowering the fork air pressure, below the recommendations, more and more and that seems to help. For here, I probably should have taken a click or two out of the compression - huh ?

    • @@philipcaudill626 ah air forks, there lies your main problem. Get the 6500 spring conversion ASAP or you will be forever struggling. If you still want to run air, I'd recommend no higher than 130 PSI even on fast stuff. Fellow A Sup Senior rider here. Your just way to stiff here. hope it helps next race.

    • @@95jersey yeah- I know the air forks are an issue. I was running about 102psi here. Started at 120 a couple races ago.
