@ghosted_anarchist Жыл бұрын
@@shahan484you should watch the clone wars TV show, it is amazing. The 1st season is good, but a couple episodes are kiddy despite having multiple cuss words in the episodes throughout the season and then by season 2 it gets more mature and really good plot and stories with bounty hunters showing cad bane for the first half of the season(and IG-88) and Boba Fett for the past half with Boba Fett having his own story arc trying to get revenge on Mace Windu for killing his dad Jango Fett. Season 2 also shows the 2nd battle of geonosis in a multi episode arc with the end of it having a "zombie/paradite" episode 2-3 episode arc that has Jedi fighting other Jedi because of the Geonosis flying bug people having a queen and hive mind thing going on. By season 3 it is a full on mature show. With stories on par with the movies and very dark stuff with a serious tone and it dives deep into star wars lore with really interesting stuff about the force and the nature of the for e, Darth maul's race and his brother and the night sisters who lead them which are a group of witches that practice the light side and dark side of the force and the sith asajj ventress is a part of them and she plots against count Dooku. Season 3 has some of the best episodes of the whole series like the whole Father, Son Daughter multi-epispde arc which are like living embodiments of the force pretty much and they try to see if Anakin is the chosen one and change the outcome of his destiny, as Anakin Skywalker Walker will always fulfill his destiny but it can be done in multiple ways. Also you get to so Ashoka Tano turn into a full on dark side sith lord pretty much and turn evil and fight Anakin and obi a wan in that story arc. There is also A LOT of Mandalore episodes show you the rise of the death watch and everything. The TV show is worth watching if you are a mandalorian fan just because of how much the Clone Wars TV show has so many Mandalore episodes and plays a big role in the story. Season 2 a few mandalore episode in a 3 episode arc, and season 3 does too going into the corruption on Mandalore and a attempted coup that worked but failed as the Jedi helped them. Then season 4 has a LOT of sith darkside of the force episodes and has a LOT of bounty hunter episodes. You see obi wan Kenobi go undercover as a bounty hunter, see more Boba Fett, more cad bane. You see lots of stuff about Count Dooku, Asajj Ventress, Savage Oppress(Darth Maul's brother), more Darth Maul, Night sisters and even Anakin Skywalker acting more dark. I season 4 is kind of "The dark side season" so if your a fan of learning and watching dark side stuff it is a must see. Then season 5 is probably considered the best season, but really the most important season with the major plot of the TV show. Season 5 is basically Mandolorian season which will explain to you Mandalorians fans why Ashoka Tano left the Jedi order and what happened to her, it explains to mandalorian fans about the different mandalorian clans and Bo Katan and what happened on Mandalore etc. It is also the Darth maul season too. Season 5 is all about Mandalore and Darth maul. It is amazing. Lots of darth maul stuff and his brother savage Oppress. One of the most entertaining and fun to watch star wars media to watch of all time. You MUST watch season 5. Season 6 focuses a lot on the force itself and the Jedi and helps explains why the Jedi were the way they were and what lead up to the fall of the republic and rise of the empire and Darth Vader. And season 7 goes more into that and is good as well.
@nicklibby3784 Жыл бұрын
@@shahan484yes you NEED to watch the Book of Boba Fett, it is only 6 episodes and worth it. It shows Grogu ft raining to be a Jedi with Luke Skywalker and It has 2 full episodes of just Mando and Grogu. Which is why it gets bad reviews since people wanted to see more boba fett instead of Grogu and mando, but it is still worth watching for the Mando and Grogu stuff and the boba Fett stuff is really not that bad, don't let hardcore fans scare you away from watching it, it is worth it. You also see how Mando got his new starship the Naboo fighter/speeder. And boba Fetts backstory with the Sarlac Pitt he fell into on movie 6 and his time with the Tuskan Raiders is very interesting and entertaining.

Honestly, Din is probably the best take on living in the universe. We always are shown, Jedi, Sith, Clone Troopers, people who know who they are, what their purpose is and what goals they have. The vast majority of people probably don't know who they are, what they want or how to get it and are just trying to do as best a job of surviving and living by whatever code they believe in. Din is exactly that, he has his beliefs, his skills and is simply trying to do the best job he can with what he has, for himself and Grogu. Thats pretty much as a relateable as you can get, and probably why Mandolorian is more popular and considered "better" than Book of Boba Fett. (Not saying Boba Fett is bad or anything, just that it replies more on the lore of SW to hold it up, than it's own merits.)

To be fair, Din did spend his childhood in the clone wars and then was raised in a secluded and solitary group who barely maintains contact with the outside universe. While we have seen Jedi in every movie and episode, think about the more common people in the universe who have probably gone throughout most of their lives without seeing a person wielding a lightsaber much less using telekinesis, mind manipulation, force lightning, or telekinetic strangle-hold. It's all new to him and he was figuring things out as he goes. Not to mention the first scene they open up with he had already been hit by that rhino like creature once already, that's certain to jostle your brain anyway.

Plus, from what I can tell, Djin has been in the outer rim most of his life and out there, the Jedi are nearly unheard of. To some people they're legends and others simply don't know about them. On top of that this is before Luke starts his Jedi Order, so all in all. Not that surprising. I mean. Everyone acts surprised when they see Din walk in with his Beskar. Literally, the way Din is confused about Jedi, everyone else is confused about Mandalorians. "Wait, that's a thing? The thing I love about his lack of knowledge of the force points back to episode 4 when Han and many other characters including imperial ones didn't believe in the force or knew much about the Jedi. Which actually makes sense because this is literally nearly 30 years after the Jedi Purge during Order 66. So most force users would be hiding their powers from the public and as we know with history. People stop believing in what they don't constantly see. Its also pretty obvious that the force isn't common knowledge unless you are a Jedi because they do like to keep their secrets. Think about when Anakin was still a slave. But of course, for those who understands the deep magic of the Force, it is just simply another skill, and not something that mysterious… okay, it is still very mysterious even for the wizards in robes, but they can understand and rationalize it in ways a layperson cannot, so the average citizen of the Empire/Republic can only panic at the slight of levitation or lightning. I think that’s part of the reason why the Jedi sticks to using a standardized lightsaber so much - it forms comfort and familiarity in others. I like how this series portrays force wielders as rare, mysterious, and legendary figures. At this time in the galaxy, the empire has already censored most knowledge of the jedi, so it would make sense if a random bounty hunter at this time would be confused watching a little green creature telekinetically lift a space rhino into the air. Much better than suddenly giving every non-jedi main character the ability to use the force despite not showing any capability of doing so 30 minutes before.
@housel93522 жыл бұрын

You are exactly right, and I love it too! Since we get to see most of the story through the jedi's eyes in the movies and the clone wars series, we kinda "forget" how special and insane their abilities are, and how mythical they are for most people in the galaxy, even for some skilled and succesful bounty hunter. It makes them become the legends they are to most people in the fictive galaxy to the fans too.
@zamuraiicobalt8962 жыл бұрын
Well. Yes and no. I too like how they're portrayed as mysterious and rare, but it makes very little sense that Mando has never heard of them. Considering the Jedi have policed the galaxy for thousands of years with *magic*, they, and their disappearance would be the thing everyone is talking about. The Empire is run by two sith, the Jedi are the 'reason' the Emperor is the Emperor. There's also still Jedi running about, one of which destroyed the Death Star and later, defeated the Emperor.
@@shahan484yes you NEED to watch the Book of Boba Fett, it is only 6 episodes and worth it.

The IG unit said that he had damage on his brain bc of the explosion on S01EP08. It appeared to be more of a traumatism/concussion than something like that but yeah
I really liked how this series brought back that sense of wonder and mystery to the jedi and the force. We forget now and days with all the star wars media that these things were actually very mysterious in the original stories

But how could i know? For me Mandalorian was synonymous with baby Yoda before watching the show
Also, doesn't have all the baggage of the SW drama as well. That's the challenging issue with Boba Fett. Notice the showrunners made Boba have a spiritual awakening on his show with the Tucsans in order to reset his character to start anew.
Din needs a jedi so much, that he just gently shakes every person he meets, hoping that some magic powers would fall out

To be fair this is post empire. Them, along with Vader and Sidious wiped out nearly all Traces of the jedi in the galaxy. Plus, from what I can tell, Djin has been in the outer rim most of his life and out there, the Jedi are nearly unheard of. To some people they're legends and others simply don't know about them. On top of that this is before Luke starts his Jedi Order, so all in all. Not that surprising. Djin's reactions are that of, basically your average person in star wars completely unconnected to the major events of the movies, shows, books, and video games.
I mean. Everyone acts surprised when they see Din walk in with his Beskar. Literally, the way Din is confused about Jedi, everyone else is confused about Mandalorians. "Wait, that's a thing? Those guys are real? Huh. I thought it was made up." Both Mandalorians and Jedi are super rare, especially after the Empire, and it seems that Din hasn't had a very intensive cultural education. Yes and no, I always got the sense that they where something of a legend even when they where around! Most people had never seen one, but had heard stories.
And how frightening it can be to witness the Force and not understand what it is. Of course the Mandalorians think of the Force as sorcery, it is basically just that to them. That's partly why the Emperor and Vader was so effective as spreading terror.
I'm assuming the prequels was only of the perspective of the elite and those close to the politics of the republic. If you were on courascant you were probably familiar with the Jedi.
It's less of them being censored by the empire, if you're just a civilian you know little to nothing about a jedi even if you lived on corascant you would only know what they look like. Everyone would have crazy rumors about them too I'm sure.
Well.
