Just got a 2000 estimate to replace the water pump. Its a water pump. My shop won't even do the job

Well, the price sounds right and reasonable for the job, though. But I could do it for $1600 with the parts.

No, but what I was explaining is the same where to install it and before you remove it. 🙃 my bad not to post it when done.

I’d be willing to bet that it didn’t run very long before the check engine light came on. It is very unlikely that you were able to get the crank timed properly without the proper tools.

Exactly, I didn't have the proper tools but worked, though. I haven't heard anything wrong with it till now . 😊
