I know!!!! I see my Dad every day! 56’ though haha
That scares me. Because I look in the mirror every day and see what being born in 65 looks like😂
Hey thanks for the look back at nostalgia! Iwas told I could be a great pro, then someone got in the way?! Walter Ray Williams Jr! I didn't mind though I lived pro bowling through him. He was my alter-ego! Lol.
@@SteveWalsh-hx3ge Getting older is great. I get paid to be 62+ and I buy abandoned Storage units like in Storage Wars. I miss bowling but at 68 I dont have to pop I used to have when I was 30.
@@SarcasticStorageStacker sorry, you lost the "pop" with bowling. Here I am, 58 and a stroke survivor and, after I move from Phoenix to Wichita, I will be taking myself out on the PBA50 circuit. Now if I can just find a ball sponsor.....lol
I want the Kaboom just so i can Impersonate Keanu Reeves and say "Duke Kaboom" every time I strike.
We're forgetting the best balls from Columbia. The Black U-Dot
Born before 1960, started bowling about 3 years ago 😊and I absolutely love your videos. KABOOM!!!
I have a 90s WWF The Rock 16 lb bowling ball that was given to me when I started bowling last June. Now that I've gotten into the sport, the WWF The Rock is on my shelf as a collector's ball. The Kaboom would go great beside The Rock.
So i was born in 1978 and in my youth i loved Columbia's. I tried out for the ECC bowling team and unfortunately didn't make but my roommate was on the team and gave me his Columbia Pulse & Rage. I still have those balls today. I then shortly after got the Tremor & Messenger but always wanted an OG Beast. I eventually got a Beast Mode many years later. Loved that ball. Still have that too. I'm big supporter of Columbia still today. I recently dropped to 14lb and I've had to rebuild my arsenal slowly. After watching your video for the Cypher I ordered that. I thought about the Kaboom but really needed a symmetric solid more in my bag. I kept most of my old equipment from my youth but did trade some away over the years. I've recently bought some older gems i always wanted. In fact one arrived today in the mail, a Columbia Primal Rage to go with OG Black Rage. I probably wouldn't throw that beast but I would display it next to all my other OG Columbia's. Thanks for all your great video's. I'm glad you're a free agent now and can do the 7 Brands of Brunswick.
Marty weipert has the highest score ever at mt. Morris lanes 300. Living legend.
@@bbarnes654 I probably have the lowest as well
Great video Kaboom looks amazing! I remember seeing that post on Reddit!
I guess I went on… on the right day haha
Nice find.... I'm still throwing a Columbia U2 and averaging 211! Go figure!! I still have quite a few Columbia bowling balls from the 80's and 90's.....I would love to add that ball to my collection! 😊
The original Beast was urethane and it had 5 teeth and 2 fangs on the logo. Whereas the early resin Beast has 4 teeth and 2 fangs to differ the 2. The resin Beast is a little darker purple in color.
Most of my best bowling was in the 80's and the 90's. I had to stop for 22yrs, but I've been back to league bowling 2 years now. I have purchased all new equipment to be competitive on today's conditions, but for my 7 pins (I'm lefty), everyone said you have to buy a plastic ball that doesn't hook. I was laughing to myself when I saw you were throwing the Beast at that spare, because that's what I'm using for my corner spares. I polished up my 25yr old, 16lb Beast and it works fine for me. Love your bowling and your content.
I actually like that ball, especially how much control it give you. I have my dad old bowling ball from the 70’s and every now and then I’ll take it out on the lanes. I love that ball so much!!!
I had a columbia cuda c ceramic core. I miss that ball. The ball that got me into bowling more serious
I threw a 300 with the original first beast third game out. And, I quit right after. I am back 2 years now. Bowled a 300 last year. I like the super flex coverstock that is on the kaboom. Honestly, I think it is the original Columbia overstock from back in the day.
I love that ball. The beast was the ball in the day. I remember watching norm duke hook the lane on a show with that ball. Thanks for memories.
i bowled extensively back in the 90's and early 00's. the beast was a staple for short oil patterns. it was in everyone's bag.
Haha Elise lookin at 1962 here so a wee bit of stuff. Back in the day when I was inn a league in my younger days there was the AMF VOIT ANGEL and HAMMER GOLD
The Beast was one of my favorite balls bake in the day! I still have it!
CONGRATS! You won the giveaway for the beast! Drop us an email at nateandelisebowling@gmail.com to let us know where we need to ship it ! 🎉
The Beast (Solid Reactive) was the first ball I bought more than one of. I shot my first honor score with it, back when 11 in a row (290) was a honor score lol.. I also had the Urathane and Pearl too. The Beast was a mid level ball.
One of favorite bowling dall back in that time period was the Ebonite Turbo X.
Elise is full of life what a star 🎳🎳🎳
And sexy too
Rubber bowling balls were still being used when I was born and the urethane Ebonite was on the cusp of being developed. Some of the oldest viewers in the comments section have surely seen wooden balls on the lanes with pin boys, LOL!!
😂😂Hearing someone say with 85 revs saying your hammering on it and it’s barely moving is absolutely hilarious
Thanks for watching!
I remember that ball very well. I bowled with it in a traveling league. Averaged 196 with it bowling in 7 different bowling centers. Oh the 90s
Things i liked about the old balls you had to really put the work in to get the reaction.
I might get the kaboom now. Been looking for a new ball for when the lanes die. Almost got the Hyper Venom but held back. Your ball review videos are great tho… I’d like that Beast if you have trouble finding someone to give it to lol Been using my Track Heat for the last couple years as my main. Love that ball. But I can’t make my mind up on a new one. There’s like 4 different ones I want 😂
I'm old enough to remember when the Beast first came out lol.
I remember these balls growing up. I heard all the "old timers" complaining about the reactive resin balls and how they are "hook in a box". Aka basically the same complaining they are now. My first true reactive ball was a falcon/R @13 (1993) after that I upgraded to the Ebonite Wolf (1995/6 era). I first learned how to throw a "hook" at 10 with a 16# fab hammer (don't ask). When I got my first ball drilled for me it was a gyro 1 urethane at 11/12 semi fingertip (because my dad threw semi finger tip). I have a nostaliga for the bowling balls of that era. I am trying to find an original Sun Storm, a Wolf (not seawolf or werewolf the original blue wolf) and a few others.
Old Columbia balls were awesome. I never threw this one, but I know my dad, uncle, and grandpa all had this ball. I remember them talking about it when I found one of their old balls. I'd love to have this ball just to show them for nostalgia... though honestly I might redrill and throw it, just because. This got a bit wordy, but basically what all this is really saying is "oh oh oh oh, pick me pick me!! Please please!" Only trying not to sound so desperate.... either way, if I get the ball or not, you keep being awesome and making great videos!
Golden Age of Columbia 300 Yellow Dot! Yeah!
THE BLEEDER!!!!
I owned the Beast back then! It was a good ball for me.
I still carry my beast peral with mica. It sees play on drier lanes.
I like this ball bc it’s as old as I am lol 😂
In its day it was great ball down from the Cuda/C
I drilled several of those original Beasts, loved them. They were great on wood lanes, the one you have in this video the surface is not how they were originally.
I’m assuming this one had a very good life in someone’s garage before any of us got hands on it 😂
If it was 15 lbs I would have kept it
I still use mine especially on wood lanes.
Cool video, I have an old original Columbia wine U-dot (urethane), it was the ball to have back "in the day". For kicks I took it to the lanes not long ago, and it might as well have been plastic, would barely wrinkle. Conditions and technology have changed a lot.
I still throw my The Beast some. It's the weakest reactive I have but still more back end than my purple hammer.
Yes definitely a good option before having to throw urethane
I had a lot of C300 balls never but not THE BEAST... I'm old😢😢😂
All The Beast remakes even as I was growing up have been good!!!!
I have one of the Original Beast.
I need a spare ball lol
It’s the best ball in your arsenal!
Hey Nate and Elise
Man that was my first bowling ball
She needs some friction!!! Haha
I shot my 1st 300 with the Columbia beast.
omg i want that ball!!!
Which one? 😝
@@NateandElise the beast bowling ball, I couldn't contain my excitement. My dad had that same bowling ball and loved it and did a lot of league bowling and it was always his first choice out of his bags. Moved from Cali and most of our stuff was stolen before we finished packing
Yeah me 🎉!
Particle ball
1993 you are just a baby
beast was a really good ball, I am not sure it was from 92, I think they were later like 94
This one is from 92 :) it’s on the serial number on the ball!
@@NateandElise maybe i though resin came around in 93 I thought 92 was the prohooks the blue and blacks, I can’t remember exactly that’s when I graduated high school
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I can say I like this ball because the lines I play. This ball would complement my game so well I would love this bowling ball. & a ball I’ve used from the 90s is my grandpas Original Burgundy Hammer but he still won’t let me have it so this ball would be awesome to have in my arsenal- much love BudroBowl🎳
