today I am decluttering half of my eyeshadow palette collection. hopefully here's a start to something new. minimalistic maybe? maybe one day soon!

I have gone down from 269 to 57 and still feel I have too many! It’s weird how my mindset has gone from wanting every palettes by every brand to just keeping ones I really love and actually use.

Doing a make up no buy doesn’t need to be depressing- it can be utterly liberating. It’s a win win situation when you learn to manage to maximise your resources for what will truly be of benefit to your life.
Yes! Doing a no buy has actually brought so much joy in my life, and it's insane what I managed to save in my bank account by just not buying makeup
January 2023 I stopped shopping for makeup. I went from diamond to platinum on my Ulta account. I have two holy grails (Anastasia brow pomade and morphe setting spray that I use daily) that I end up getting for free from my Ulta reward points from using my credit card from gas and groceries. I’ve spent a total of $6 this year. This title of the video, I feel you.
I recently had a declutter, I only have 8 palettes now, but I realised I didn't need every shade of every colour, when I only wear purples, greens, reds, and blacks/greys. And a couple of the little palettes I only kept because travel. Same with liners and lipsticks, I know what I wear, I know products I like, I don't need every colour
What do you do with the palettes you declutter?
I’d love to see a channel that’ll buy a new palette a few times a year, but consistently posts videos using palettes we’ve all got.

That’s what I do on my channel 😊 I’ve bought 5 makeup products so far this year. Pretty good I think for being in month 10 tomorrow!
For a very long time now the makeup channels have been entirely about consumption and thus, marketing rather than actually USING and DOING makeup. Which is why tutorials have died out but the presentation of "new", always the same products continues. It's buy and declutter to an insane level. Just wasteful 🙄.
I think they got me for so long with the “perfect fall palette.”
It's true after you collect makeup for like 10 year or so you definitely have so many that look alike.
If you buy all the brands, you get repeat after repeat of colour, it's just quality and application that you end up keeping them for....
The makeup fad has passed me. I don’t really buy any more palettes unless it is earth shattering….at this stage I have every variation of every color!

I tend to mix and match some of my favorite colors in the Natasha denona palettes by popping them out and making My own dream palette lol
Omg yes..I realized that 5yrs ago..wish i could recoup the $ from those and liquid lipsticks ect...I gave what was good to my daughter but seriously i spent so much on the new it palette . You live n learn
Its better than drugs, alcohol, or gambling..At least your daughter or her friends got use out of them.

I used to have sooo much makeup and I have gotten rid of so much. I want to actually use what I have and enjoy it. I have about 10 eyeshadow palettes and I still think that it too much for me. I may be moving soon and if so, I plan to get rid of more stuff. It actually feels really good to use and love what I have.
I own 2 palettes: a maybeline quad, and a 6 shade palette. 10 eyeshadows in total!

I even clear out my wishlist on beauty sites, I never buy day of release, recently it's about a year+ and it's cut back on impulse purchases, buyer's remorse and fomo. I don't buy vaults especially because no way will 100% of them work for me, I saved a fortune on the false economy of a lipstick vault because when am I realistically going to use them, they'll go bad before I'm halfway through one never mind 10 😂
I think I could never declutter my ND collection my heart would feel so much heartache 😂😂😂 but I’m gonna do some declutter and sell some I haven’t ever used!

I made this choice two years ago after intensely buying for 2. I may still buy the PML mothership, and the Too Faces Holiday palette but that’ll be it.

I started to get into the craze of lots of pallets, but realised you just need a couple of good basic sets with some good neutrals, a few small sets for some extra pops of colour and to easily pop into a make-up kit to travel. I dont have anywhere the number you have, but decluttered 6 myself the other day.
I’m feeling the same way. I only want to keep the palettes I absolutely love. I’m getting ready to start selling on Poshmark again because the palette hoarding is just too much for me now.

Really ready to declutter. How does everyone throw out their products? It makes me feel like I’m throwing money in the trash. But I don’t know many people that I could pass that much product down to. Any tips you guys have would be awesome!!
could you do project pan? make up no buys?
Some women’s shelters accept gently used makeup !! Posh mark and mercari are good too if you want to sell it. Some goodwills or other donation spots will also take makeup. Some theater programs will too, like high school theaters or college theaters etc!

I would throw out all of my palettes and keep the ND palettes and be super happy. I couldn't part with mine.
Ugh! But then there is Huda and Sydney Grace.
I always think I’m good with just Natasha but then I remember that there are others I love too. And A few Pat McGrath but you only need a few her new palettes suck and the rest a repetitive.
@@emilydoesit8383 I am not a huge huda fan, I got rid of hers years ago. I do really enjoy Juvia's Place I have 5 of their palettes, Oden's Eye and Lunar Beauty. I have 1 4 pan from Nomad I can't seem to declutter, one from KVD the lolita palette (talk about old school lol), Kaleidos Flower Punk is still hanging in there as well but the majority of my shadows are ND and I am about to buy her new one "i need a nude". I have 6 of her $65 range palettes, 4 of her larger 5 pans, and 1 of her small 5 pans. I still want to grab another of the small 5 pans as well as one of her large palettes too. I just have such a hard time justifying over $100 for one palette. I have never tried Pat McGrath, nothing of hers really sucks me in, especially for the cost.

my norvina was one of my favourites, but it has gone bad and it doesnt perform anymore. matts are chalky, metallics are crumbly, and neither of them stick to the lid properly. i was gutted to declutter it 😭
Maybe you could hot glue the Tom Fords back in their place. I have seen some shades fall out on other people. I have some too but mine haven’t done that. I got mine from Amazon. Some of them are cheaper there.

I would mix my shades in the Natasha Denona palettes and would put a dark brown in the retro glam for example before I’m getting rid of the good quality shadows :o
I def hear you on that! there were lots of shades I would just never wear, and I don't want to feel like ineed to ALWAYS mix and match in a sense. but I get you for sure!!

Hi Liora, hope you're doing well. Just a quick question, I know you kept the Patrick Ta palettes and I know he's coming out with a new one. So my question is have you heard about the mold issue in his eye palettes? I literally just heard of it now and now I'm paranoid about the 2 I have . And now I'm reconsidering purchasing his new one. Do you have any insight on this? I checked mine and one seems fine the other has a dot on 2 different shadows can't tell if it's glitter or a scratch or mold 😖 like I said I'm paranoid now 😭 let me know what ya think lol thanks
I heard about that too that’s why I didn’t buy any of his palettes and will not buy until the problem is acknowledged by the brand. I have a blush from PT and I was paranoid about it but I checked it real well and it doesn’t seem to have anything. I know only the palettes were talked about but it makes you wonder about all his products 😫
@@luxiemua8913 yes, unfortunately I had no acknowledgement about that issue when I purchased both eyeshadow palettes until I went to see the picture of the new one and saw the comments regarding that. 😓 Yes now I'm like is that with all the cream/powder formulas 😖 I'll probably be skipping it now.
Yeah I think its best to avoid it. After all, eyes are such a sensitive area and no makeup is worth risking our health ☺️

You have downsized & kept quite some pretty good palettes!! Im thinking about selling a few of the eyeshadow palettes that I don’t ever use !! & the flower Beauty: desert lights palette I love pairing it with Patrick Ta: Major Dimensions 2 & too faced : natural nudes !! ( especially with the Patrick ta palette, I feel like desert lights pairs SOO good with it because they’re similar in color story & I love using the desert lights first after have applied matte colors and then the Patrick ta on top of those metallics for a more pop of sparkle! 😊 ✨ )
