Although it wasn't a sweep, the 2014 Finals for the Spurs was one of the most comprehensive championship wins in NBA history against incredible opposition. Rewatching the buttery smooth ball movement and fundamentals in a league dominated by iso ball was a breath of fresh air and so I made this tribute to it.
More AFL stuff to come, I've been at work a lot, piss off.
Thanks for watching!

  • Criminally underrated team. Can only Imagine if Duncan was a more out there personality he'd be given way more hype as Goat.

  • I remember watching one of the 2014 Finals games as the Spurs passed the ball...and the commentators were stunned. "Beautiful Basketball" one says. In 2013 the Heat won with a 3 pointer. In 2014 the Spurs won with 450+ passes that demonstrated that it was the most skilled team. I took the Spurs for granted for two decades because of their consistent playoff appearances. Now I realize I was in the presence of greatness. Quiet, professional, consistent Greatness.

  • Cripes amighty mate , here it is 2023 and I've never seen this video. Mind you I make my living in NYC but I'm San Antonio born and raised. A Spurs fan from Year 1. After the 2013 loss I walked home from the Pub and got 2 Blox from me home when a thug clubbed me in the head 3 times for starters. I laid in a puddle of blood for almost 2 hours but I got up again. I cannot express how much the 2014 Championship means to me. Thank you for this video. I still come back to You Tube very often to watch highlights from the 2014 Miracle Year. You can take a Texican out of the Alamo City but you can never take the Alamo City out of a Texican. Sincerely Mikie from San Antoniork. Cheers mate !

  • Loved your Video of My Favorite Team in the San Antonio Spurs unfortunately even though they played the Most Beautiful Style of Basketball they still don't get any Respect I think they deserve and I know what some people will think and that's I'm only saying this because I'm a Spurs Fan and there might be some truth to that but it was because I've Loved Basketball my whole life and I couldn't help but admire the style of Basketball they played that year anyway that's just my opinion.

  • It was the best team of collective sports (football - both "american" and "soccer", basketball, volleyball, rugby, team handball...) of the wold at this time. Better than Barça or the All Blacks (and Les Experts, France's handball, for the connoisseurs - double WC and OC around these years). Note that Boris Diaw was also captain of the French national team. Yep, Boris, not TP9. He's very much underrated in the USA, but not in France.

  • The 2014 finals were skewed so much by the refs towards a miami victory. Nevertheless, the spurs prevailed. Nobody couldve beat them in that series the way they played.
