As they are raised they pick up beliefs from those around them. When those around them push really strong beliefs the child has little defense against inheriting them. Human insecurities lead to a strong need for a growing child to identify ones self with the predominant cultural beliefs. Individuals with really strong insecurities are subject to becoming radicalized and having destructive tendencies toward other societies with different beliefs. Bottom line is it all started with human insecurities and surrounding individuals that are constantly pushing their strong beliefs onto the child which surely ends up biasing the child to believing in a reality that probably doesn’t exist other than locally. Educated people recognize that belief systems do exist with humans and why they exist (survival insecurities). Enterprising individuals challenge inherited belief systems, have an open mind and seek the truth which is that we are all just humans here on earth living our lives. Friendly debate and accepting that different beliefs do exist and that others do have the right to their beliefs is the only way humanity stands a chance of surviving long into the future. It takes really hard work for individuals to try and relate to others as well. Unfortunately, much of the population is too selfish so the future isn’t looking good for humanity.
