  • You forgot to mention that in full-auto mode, the auto-sear keeps the cocked hammer in place until the bolt carrier locks in completely, otherwise the hammer won't slam the firing pin hard enough.

  • I am a programmer. I always build things in steps. I look at these machines and think how could someone come up with this design. It had to of been done in steps right? Like step 1 fire the round. Step 2 find out how we can recover energy from that spent round. Step 3 use that energy to eject the casing and at the same time load a new round and reset the trigger. Seems simple once you see it work, but to design this seems very complicated and tedious.

  • How an AK works: you pull the trigger, a spring loaded hammer hits the pin, it strikes the primer, boolet go boom, gas go back hehe, bolt pick up new boolet from mag, rinse and repeat. So simple you can build a crude version of an AK in your backyard (no guarantees that it wouldn't blow your face up). The most compliceated thing is inserting a mag if you never saw it being done which is very hard with movies and games nowdays

  • I can’t say that AK-47 is bad. It could have been as best as G3 or AR-15 if there was some additional spring for the AK which would let shoot as faster and with less recoil as G3 does. I wish AEK-971 or AK-107 could be as popular as AK-47.

      @fedirnikitin913@fedirnikitin9133 жыл бұрын
    • No, this is a typical AK47 - look at the back of the receiver and buttstock, it's different from AKM. Go to google and find a picture of AKM, you will see that the buttstock and front handguard are different, usually made from laminated wood. The barrel and gas tube are a bit slimmer on AKM. The AKM also uses the slant muzzle attachment, has ribbed dust cover and different pistol grip. Also AKM has a stamped receiver bit this 3D model has a milled receiver. Also look at the vent holes on the front the gas tube and the recoil spring assembly, both are typical for AK47

    • Schmeisser was taken by the Russians to help with firearm development but from historical accounts it seems that he didn't work on the AK project. But on the other hand Russians definitely got a lot of inspiration for the AK from Stg44 or at least it seems like it if you compare the AK46 and Stg44 disassembled...

      @PolenarTactical@PolenarTactical3 жыл бұрын
    • @@PolenarTactical --Please. Schmeisser was wholly responsible for the AK. He was kidnapped and forced to work for the Soviets.
