6 months ago I was made aware that FDNY self-funds their gym equipment.
This means, in order to stay in the shape needed to perform their jobs, they have to individually donate to add equipment to their firehouses.
To me, this seemed bonkers.
So, I want to help them out.
We visited the Fire Department of New York to do a gym tour, take thair FST Training Course, and surprise them with a donation.
If you feel inspired in some way, I'd encourage you to donate to the cause. Every single dollar is used by FDNY for training equipment. Thank you for your support.

Considering how much funding NYC receives, it's an absolute travesty that people like teachers and firefighters have to fund their own supplies in order to serve the public. Respect to Coop for the donation and even more respect to the men & women serving for us day in and day out
Hell yeah, Coop! I know those guys are stoic and hard on the outside, but inside I guarantee they’re so emotional. Any time somebody steps up off the streets and recognizes what it truly takes and how much those guys sacrifice, then turn around and honor them like that, that’s huge. Speaking from the fire community myself, I guarantee that donation went a long way. Respect!

I grew up across the street from an FDNY station. Was annoying the sheer amount of lights and sirens from our house. But my dad fell from the roof once cleaning the gutters, and without a doubt FDNY saved his life.
