Butterfly is kind of a special song and MV. Each member has an animal and a feeling or abstract concept to represent them and Gowon's animal is a butterfly and her concept is hope. Loona's storyline revolves around them wanting to change the world and bringing hope is a part of that. The MV actually has several moments that played out in Loona's pre-debut MVs but with the regular women instead. Deep cuts in K-Pop are rare but they do happen. 🥰
stan loona, butterfly dance practice is a must watch!! Also every member has a solo and they debuted individually as soloists 1 by 1 and in little sub units until the whole group debuted then they came together as a group

They're a very unique gg, every member (they're 12 in total) has a solo single that was released before their debut as a full group, they're all super different, the only down side is their company that is just terrible lol the youngest member is 19 and the oldest is 26! And yes they're still active they're expected to have a comeback somewhere in the next months :)

Yay my former #2, now #3 favorite group in kpop! My forever bias is Chuu, the girl with the high note in Hi High! 😍 As someone else stated, you should check out their solos too! From day 1 on they've built a whole universe of (very intense and deep) lore, which is not important at all to enjoy their music but a nice bonus on top if you REALLY like them. Butterfly is one of the most beautiful songs in kpop ever! Also on a side note, they are INSANE dancers, all 12. They covered several boy group choreos which you might wanna check out on your own or even better here with us (BTS Fire, NCT Cherry Bomb, Got7 Eclipse). 😁

I do badly want you to dive into the Loonaverse! Their other MVs, individual members’ solos and sub-units, their dance practices … seriously they are amazing. I recommend their other group MVs (Favourite, So What and Star) and then doing the solos/sub-units chronologically.
LOONA covers a lot of genres in their music, they have a pretty large discography too so there's stuff for everyone. The girls themselves are so well rounded, their talent, personalities and everything is just perfect.
While they do have their group songs, each member also has their own solo song pre-debut, to introduce the members one by one, plus there are sub-units of the members, all this happened even before their debut. I suggest, along with all their major group released videos, you check out their individual pre-debut videos.
This is for sure my favorite girl group!

It’s so sad every time i heard people did not know anything about LOONA after 5 years since their predebut started till now, they’ve invested a massive millions to the most expensive in Kpop group debut history for just a little recognition even in their homeland.

I'm glad you enjoyed loona music! They have had tons of songs predebut and loona doesnt stick to one genre they versatile in that department. Plus, I suggest youd read the description of the mvs cause it kinda gives you a small hints what the mv and the whole comeback means to us orbits and the listeners.
Every girl and subunit in loona have their own sound/music genre, if you wanna listen to more loona I really recommend you their subunit 'ODD EYE CIRCLE' I feel like you'll really like their songs plus their solos (Kim Lip - Eclipse, Jinsoul - Singing in the rain, Choerry - Love Cherry Motion)

All Loona videos are strong cinematography-wise, but Butterfly is literally a piece of art. There are many people who got honestly emotional watching it Loona themselves said that they want to build without prejudice, of age, colour, gender... they are honestly amazing Butterfly was released as part of Loona's expansion lore story. During Hig Hugh Era. they are gathering themselves, to become one; Loona. For the 1st comeback, Butterfly, they tightened very cutely with a video named: ''For All Loonas around the world,'' so; the non-members Loona you see in the video are representing all of us, they are portrayed as the members in their solos (yes, all 12 of them have solos[ as part of their pre debut project]) , by actions/ objects (the girl with the camera, the one dropping the apple, the one waking up, they are referring to the members' solos). Loona deserve a closer look for their art and for the members, who are just so lovable

I love how honest and real your reaction was! And watching how you slowly started getting more and more excited. For Loona there is a lot of content since they have subunit and solo releases, but if you want to see the full group songs you still have So What, favOrite and Hula Hoop(Japanese debut). Other than that I’d recommend you to check out their dance practices, their synchronization is really impressive tbh

Loona is just such a PHENOMENAL group they are absolutely Insane and I don't know if you noticed but Loona loves telling stories in their Music Videos I would tell you all about it but it is too long and I think someone else/a video would explain it better (They also are one of the most synchronised groups I have ever seen them, Dreamcatcher and GFriend), also there are Twleve Members you probably already know this but I'll just tell you the Members from Oldest to Youngest just to help you out a little bit! Idk if this was alr pointed out but at a certain part in butterfly after the girl kicks the wall and the screen goes black, its an attempt to also include the viewer since with the black screen you see yourself, and a part of their message is everyone is LOONA

They have a lot of other great songs like "So What", "Universe", "Hula Hoop", "Star" & "Satellite". Not to mention their Sub-unit and solo songs. Their latest title track is "Flip That" but their finale song for Queendom 2 was "Pose". If you also like to see how great they are at dancing, you should check out their dance practice videos for their songs but especially their cover dances of boy group songs; "Fire" by BTS, "Cherry Bomb" by NCT 127 and "Eclipse" by Got7.

If u want to understand Loona I suggest u watch “The Avengers of KPOP” it’s good intro to them. Watch their dance covers and dance practices- they freaking kill it. They r the best in synchronization when it comes with that many members in a group.

Loona are such an amazing group, as you saw their discography is super varied so I think a lot of people will find at least one song they like! (Personally I like all of their songs though, haha). I hope you check out more Loona in the future as they have a lot more amazing content and I really enjoyed your reaction (their debut was unique, with all the girls getting solo debuts and sub-units being formed before the full group)! Some songs might be more your style than others, but they’re all high-quality and worth checking out 😊 Also, no they haven’t disbanded haha. You missed ‘so what’ and based on the songs you liked, that would have probably been your favorite. Loona is a group based on experimentation. Usually they have a different style/genre/concept for every comeback. In fact, all of the members have their own concepts and genres. Each had a solo debut, and each song was a separate concept and style. They also have 3 subunits with 3 separate concepts as well. Loona are the queens of diverse and amazing quality music. I’m so happy they’re becoming more known because they have one of the best discography’s in kpop.

loona's concept is all around the moon and loona is pronounced the same as moon (луна) in some balkan languages "луна" is also the first word you see in that eye in the beginning of hi high
Loona consist of 12 members to represent 12 months in a year and the moon suppose to appears to Earth 12 times in a year. The other name for moon was Luna or you can call Loona(it's them🌙).

you asked how old are they and to sum it up their oldest just turned 25 and their youngest just turned 19 Don't always expect the badass concept from them though because the song they released after PTT was more cutesy and energetic (Hula Hoop)
