I don’t want this series to end!
Your wife should be happy you covered up all the oil spots in her garage with paint. That's a considerate husband.
Lol
The pre paint prep is the secret and looks like you have it covered. I love this series!
Good stuff!
Getting there!!
That's a crossover episode we need. Hank, Wiley, Tyler, and Tyler's dad.
Do you want to see us brave the snakes and bugs or them brave the cold…?
@@dieseJL - Yes. Honestly....i'm in Wisconsin, so i know what you guys go through during the winter in Michigan. You deserve someplace warm to go to.
but the snow is fun!
Congrats dieseJL, on finally getting ur Red Ford Tractor almost rebuilt and painted. looks cool..
And little baby looks great too
Dad bought the 801 and 881 Select O Speeds in 1960 and 61. First tractors I drove at 6 years old. The 881 was still there when the farm sold 8 years ago. It ran when parked after spending every day cleaning the free stall barns. Watching you bring that one back to life has me amazed. However the cost of the restoration would have taken me years to do.
Yeah it’s a lot of time and money but your support makes it possible!!
The Red and Black together look great.
yeah these tractors are pretty sharp!
I’m still remembering the pump rebuild video. You made a big impression on me with your experience.
Always willing to learn!
Beautiful😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 job
Nice video, and great job on the restoration. Just a note, there were no 8Ns around in WWII, only 9Ns and 2Ns.
Yup! Waiting until it's tacky and then doing the next coat is called wet on wet, you can do it between types too, like when the primer is tacky spray the top coat, when the top coat is tacky spray the clear coat. Bob.
Great job , you can be classified as an industrial painter now,
Runs and everything 😎
Looks good
Paint job looks great
That Chevrolet orange is gonna add 10 hp all by itself 😂
Now it’s 20hp
Nice build.
Having to go through everything from the inside out and to reach the point where you finally place the new tires to the rims and then mount them to the Tractor must be fantastic, awesome feeling!! You did a great job and should be proud of the finished Tractor. I caution against bringing your child in the garage after just painting, even dried paint is harmful to little ones. I look forward to more Videos and awesome content.
Actually working on your own and what you have achieved is credit to you, You seem to have a lot more confidence and completed extremely difficult steps to complete the engine rebuild and fuel system.
thank you as an old yankee i like to be serious. your video is seriously good. i like it. i respect you and your format. i have nothing but praise for you. let not any man say anything negative about you within my ear shot. very best wishes from ball-acre farm.
Thanks Russ!
Well done Tyler. Tractor is looking sweet.
Thanks! Yeah she’s coming together nicely.
So drop cloths on the floor are a must! I like the red window fan ;)
man that thing has eaten so much paint
Looks great!
Great vid Tyler. Can't wait to see it run.
Thanks! It's been a slog but it's getting close!
Very nice old tractor. Nice job
Thanks! She’s getting there
Looking good.
Thanks 👍
you need to swap the rear wheels side to side
😂 I saw that. 👀
Then the treads would be backward 🤔
@dieseJL no keep the tread orientation the same. The center portion should curve out not in. You put em in wrong way round. The easiest way to fix it is to swap em around. No offense they will work just fine the way they are. See the rear tires in original configuration at 0:11 of this video.
@@ManMountainMetals agreed!
It's a shame I don't have the ability to do anything like this currently. I wish I grew up with the old iron. After finishing this project, do you regret doing it?
You have done a fantastic job on that old girl! Guys at my local tractor shop didn't get the privilege of mounting tires on my fresh painted rims. They most likely would have bent up the new rims. Buncha meat heads.
Yeah they marked them up more than I did the front haha
Great progress. The old 8 is gonna be parade ready. Really like the Jazzy montage’s. Just drive around with the jazz. Get the hound a pupa chino. Funny family interface. Cant wait for you to finish the track loaders. Cheers🎉
Me too!! In 2025…hahaha
👍
I would have gone with Ford Blue, rather than Chevy Orange!
Bah it’s ford red-orange… I think the camera makes it look a little more orange but it’s the ‘correct’ color for the era
@@dieseJL - Got'cha!
😃😃😃😃
Rear tire hubs should bow outward. They are wrong.
Hi Tyler, excellent job mate, but! Epoxy primer (2 K) is carcinogenic and you should really be using a full-face air mask. Bob. UK
👍👍👍👍👍👌
Why do you have to do that with the ridgid impact?
idk it crapped out on me where it constantly has a battery drain now. So if you use it then set it down for a minute or two it won't work again until you take the battery off and put it back on again. Time for a milwaukee
No lubing the parts as assembling ? Not good ! Nice paint though !
Thanks!!
Love the video but I get really concerned when you wear sandals working on heavy metal, please get your toe tectors on I know lads that have done the same and wished they hadn't after receiving traumatic injuries that are life changing, it's a no brainier. Be safe and looking forward to more content.
thanks! sandals are away now for the winter haha
