He always said he's a lot more impatient with them because they should already know how to cook so he's always pissed off when they give him food that's not cooked properly. In Hell's Kitchen is also always more patient with young chefs even teaching them stuff on the spot during service...a lot less with experienced chefs though. But whenever you see him with home cooks, he's always a lot more relaxed.

    • @@Midorikonokami I’m white and an American and I definitely prefer the right amount of rose water in Middle Eastern cooking! It is my go-to food, partly because I’m lactose intolerant and there are lots of delicious dishes I can eat. Uncle Roger’s right amount, though: I can’t. I tried it with the garlic and it definitely disagreed with me. Spicy, you can forget it. I have an endoscopy lined up as it is. There’s a giant difference between not learning to enjoy things and not being able to eat them.

  • gordon warming up to uncle roger shows how much gordon ramsay has changed. from merciless critic, then to masterchef and now internet chef. gordon really has become more accepting of criticisms and the strange food choices around the internet. i think he has become a happier person with a good sense of humor.

  • Uncle Roger, use pointy toothpicks to close the fish belly. Hold the belly opening closed, pierce the toothpick all the way through at the top corner of the opening, then lift and pierce through the belly from underneath through the top, and make sure the toothpick stays on the fish horizontally. Repeat two or three times to close the belly completely to keep the filling from spilling into your pan during cooking. Or you can use butcher's twine to sew the opening. Butcher's twine, or cooking twine or kitchen twine is safe to use on food and has high heat resistance and you can find it in supermarkets or kitchen stores, or butcher specialty stores.
