    • Well if those states that you mentioned are so wealthy. They should be able to send those athletes to their most popular track and field events in America. Jamaica is poor in comparison to those states. Jamaican athletes look forward to attending Boys and Girls championship in Jamaica next The Carifta games which is held in different Caribbean Islands each year. Then the track season, is ended with going to the Penn realys and that is the icing on the cake for them.Jamaican schools has been sending athletes to the Penn Relays since 1964. Now you know how much it means to our Jamaican athletes to do well at the Penn Relays. One love, the tradition lives on. 🇯🇲🇯🇲 @@rontilson3

    • That’s the obvious mistake, it the REAL mistake is his coach. He should have been in his ear telling him, “when you have a lead like this, go out hard first 200, then rhythm run the next 300 hundred. Pace a little down the next 100, then bring it home. This is so you can respond. The Jamaican runner did so much to close the distance he would have had a burst. Even if he tried, in his mind, he would be thinking that’s all this kid got.

It was hard to tell where the lap line was on the video, but it looked like the Christian Brothers anchor may have run around 51 seconds for the first 400m. I would bet that is close to the fastest 400m time he has ever run - his body just gave out on him at the end
