It's wonderful everything that can be done by combining epoxy resin and lasers 😍 Thanks for sharing!
Thank you and Merry Christmas
Thanks for the new ideas- never thought to use epoxy this way. There's sooooo many uses for a laser cutter!
You are so welcome!
Thank you for this excellent tutorial on using Epoxy and Resin
You are so welcome!
Thank you for your tutorials! They are awesome 👍
Thank you 😊
Wonderful! So grateful for your sharing!
You are very welcome!
Amazing, I love your tutorials
Thank you, I'm so happy you like them! ☺
Wow! Truly amazing.
Dave! Awesome as usual!
Future MAX project! ;)
So glad you liked it 😊This would work for a MAX project with the UV epoxy as it is so fast! You never know! 🤔 @russellbrownshow
That UV epoxy is pretty cool stuff I'm going to have to try it sometime
You should!
we love you, Laser Dave!
And we love you!
I can truly say thais is a very nice way to ensure that the epoxy stays in place
Absolutely
Great Video - Thanks Laser Dave One comment - Using a torch to remove bubbles in the epoxy resin is the most efficient method. However folks should understand that it’s not the heat that removes the bubbles, it’s the CO2 from the combustion of the Butane. If you get close and gently exhale over the work piece, you will get the same results (you exhale CO2). I have used this method many times on 2 part epoxy. That said, I have never worked with UV cured epoxy resins, but I suspect the results will be similar.
Hi 👋, Trotec, Laser USA . I found this very interesting., as I have been going onto different websites and KZhead links to try and find out a bit more about lasers, cotton and engraving, and especially with resin, I have worked with wood all my life, I’m now in my 70s living in France and I need to find something to keep myself amused and to try and earn some extra pennies, it took me a little while, but I’ve not been on to a website that shows your products and pricing, I was hoping that I might be able to afford something, sadly, this is way out of my price range, I will have to make do the way are used to do things years ago, that is with a fret saw or coping saw, But still a very interesting territorial , Phil from the moulin France,
I would die for Laser Dave
You are too kind!
Cool, can't wait till my laser arrives
LOVE!
Awesome! 😎
Thank you! Cheers!
This is a cool idea. What type of laser are you using to engrave the Corian? Also, I already use epoxy resin. You want a well ventilated area for working with it. Most tabletop, casting and standard resins require 8 to 24 hours cure time. Rubbing alcohol is perfect for cleaning up spills. I do love how I can combine my lasers with epoxy resin for some very cool projects.
Very nice. I have a laser on the way. Hope I can do half as good as I have seen here.
Where do u get the lizard design ? is it through lightburn ?
Where did you get the Led lights please? Great great video
All the links are in the video description.

Where can we get the masking tape you used? Please link...
We use the 12" x 100 YD TransferRite Ultra 592U High Tack tape SKU: 592U12:online.flippingbook.com/view/599398884/710
12:56 Can you. Cut Corian with de Trotec 400?
Yes, it can, with good edge quality, but it requires high power and very low speed. I recommend at least 120 watts.
Laser Dave: free cigarettes for life for you, old pal. That's fun stuff. Thanks for the tips and keep up the good work!
what machine did you used to cut the wood?
Any Co2 laser machine we make will cut the wood.
Nice information. Thanks for sharing. Just so you know, UV resins are not epoxy. They are acrylate urethane polymers.
Thanks for the info!
I don't know about the UV resin used in this video; however UV sensitive epoxy acrylate resins do exist, they are used in DLP 3D printer iirc.
Resin on a cutting board seems iffy to me. Are there resins that are specifically labeled as food safe? Most of the resins I've worked with are most definitely not.
These are usually for decoration; however, there are food-save versions you can use.
@@TrotecLaser People buy cutting boards for decoration? Never knew that :) I guess I'm too practical haha
@@TrotecLaser yes there are food safe resins/epoxies out there but you still shouldn't use them as cutting boards. for serving trays, yes. Cutting. no.
do you make tumblers? if you do, then you need a food safe epoxy. all the ones I use are FDA compliant.
👍💓
Thank you
I’m looking for a laser, laser dave. I don’t know anything about lasers, but quite a bit about woodworking. Who calls it “doming”? Haha a flood coat?
Doming is an extremely common term when using Resin with products.
Why hide the prices of your laser cutters? You could give a range of prices, starting at…oh well
Thank you for the comments; you are correct that it can be difficult to find pricing on our lasers as they are so configurable. The price can vary based on needs, and our team is trained to help you find the best solution at the best cost to meet your needs and give the best return on investment. Our laser machines start at $7,950.00 as a baseline. For more information, please reach out at this link:www.troteclaser.com/en-us/contact/contact
I have a 500$ laser cutter that can do everything in this video. Might be slower but videos like this aren't really about the laser itself but the idea.
Great video! Only thing I'd recommend is a mask when sanding the epoxy. Resin is terrible for you if inhaled. But the ideas are great!
Yes, you are correct that masks are highly recommended when sanding epoxy, and I can assure you that masks were worn during the sanding process. Sorry that we forgot to mention or show this in the video.
