This incredible hand went down on @HustlerCasinoLive and boy was it a doozie. Alan Keating turns the 2nd nut flush and faces a monster all-in on the river. Was this bluff by Handz reasonable? Let's dive in.

If I lose a 1.2 million pot it doesn't bother me. I try not to be results oriented.
I wish I lost a 1.2 million pot. Means I'm rich and a good poker player 😂
exactly. The first hundred times I lost a million dollar pot it was kind of upsetting but eventually you get used to it.
@@heinrichh.6369 Sadly, I lost too many million dollar pots and had to step down in stakes. Now I regularly lose half million dollar pots
Ha ha ha. GOLD
@@NathanHedglin how does losing a 1.2 million dollar pot mean your a good player? Lol there’s a bunch of people who have lost 1.2 million dollars playing poker and are not good players, so your statement couldn’t be more false.
i've gotta say, I'm so glad you've brought back polker hands, genuinely some of my favorite youtube content. I had asked you quite along time ago if you were gonna bring it back and you said no. I was quite sad, glad to see you changed your mind :)
He said he brought it back, just for you! Congrats!
Ya Doug! Hope you win the content next year ❤🎉
bro instead of watching polker hands why don't you work on your game? you should have more respect
don't be fooled, these tv players suck. they're only trying to string together some lucky wins in hopes it will propel further tv exposure/endorsements..take Wesley for instance, you really think he understands the game lol...listen to his thought process, lol, jumping up like a little kid saying "epic" nothing is ever what it seems
Dude, these videos are gold, nobody does hand breakdowns like Douger Hands
Small clarification but it's the third nuts due to 89ss, which handz could plausibly have from the button. Glad to have you back Doug!
Sick bluff. Got to give Handz a ton of credit for being able to pull the trigger there.
Only problem is it was a guy that never folding Even to nuts...lol
@@Drawfornoone Exactly!
But he picked wrong opponent, pretty sure KEating being such a whale will even call crappy flash there or maybe a straight if he has one played like that,so u only rly folding his bluffs.
@@user-ly5oo2hd7p exactly i mean this is like… basic microstakes/home game strategy. The reason why it’s such a blessing to be playing with Keating is _because_ he’ll call 300BB with a King High flush. You’re supposed to bluff him small enough that he knows you’re capable of it, then wait until you’ve got a real hand and shove it in. Keating is basically just _begging_ to give it all away why would you ever turn him down?
@@Drawfornoone Yeah that's true. If we are talking about from a theoretical perspective then it's a great bluff. If we are talking about from an exploitative standpoint (his opponent perhaps never folds any flushes here) then obviously then it would be a torch. However, the fact that he tank called a K high flush means that he was at least considering folding. He could still easily fold weaker flushes. If he snap called then yes it's probably a bad bluff. Either way you don't know for certain. Even whales can make big folds sometimes when they think they are beat, and then call down with bottom pair the next hand if they think their opponent in bluffing.
Technically, Keating has the 3rd nuts. 8s9s would be the nuts. 😉Great to see you back!
Thank you that this format is back. This videos literally taught me how to play poker back in the day. Thanks doug.
"You can either raise, call or fold. I really don't mind doing this on every street" "Wow I learned so much!"
@@DoctorChained ... That made me laugh WAY too much. :)
i am honestly so happy you regained your love of poker after buying the lodge and beating D-Negs!!! You were sorely missed from the scene.
Have you considered calling it poker Handz?
Hey Doug I just started watching your content a few weeks ago and was sad that it was all a few years old but glad that it existed and now I find the miracle that you started back up, almost like it was just for me. Thanks!
Yes Doug, awesome you're back. You're the reason I got into watching poker content on KZhead.
Great breakdown Doug. Have you considered making a series of videos like this and calling that series "Polker Hands"?
He has called it that for years

First time seeing your videos, I love how well you breakdown hands from both POVs, and provide a detailed explanation on how betting and positioning is good or bad for each player. Definitely earned a follow
"So, essentially at this point we're just saying numbers." Glad Polker hands is back.
love it doug. Ive watched all your polker hands multiple times and love em. hope you keep them rolling
I've missed poker hands! Super stoked to have you 100% back
Keating is maybe the nut low person to ever try and bluff. He will literally call just to see you win his money because he’s a nice guy lol
maybe that's why Keating thought about it that much. like, "Ok, this guy knows in a call station so he would never bluff at me, so maybe he does have the nut flush hmmm", sight calls
Polker Hands is back!! You made me so happy, Doug ☺ You're the reason I've started watching poker, can't believe it's been almost 7 years...
Great to see some new editions of Poker Hands, thanks Doug! Although I was a little surprised that you didn't discuss the straight flush possibility in this hand. Hope to see more soon!
Doug, simply put, you are the best. Listening and watching you play has helped my game tremendously. I have to get back in the lab!
Love it Doug glad to see your back amazing videos as always!
That's so cool to watch Doug enjoying his retirement from poker. On his place I would do exactly the same after finishing my poker career. Buy a cardhouse, grind poker every day and making poker content on KZhead.
You had me in the first half...
Good to have you back Doug, your content is good.
Happy to see my favorite KZhead is back. Great content as always, Vanessa.
You're a legend Doug, thanks for help bringing some poker content back!
So great to see this channel back at it. 😍😍
It's good to see you back! Great content.
Please keep it up with this hand review content. very educational and fun as well!
The notification of a new video brought joy to my cold heart. Hope this becomes a regular occurrence, much love Vanessa x
Awesome video and awesome that you are back, Doug! :)
I´m so glad Doug is back. Stay in there it´s awesome to have you!
Feels like I have been waiting years for you to come back. Glad to see you are in fact back!
Damn, that’s a hand for the record books. Massive nuts on Handz.
Great hand that! Nice analysis Doug keep em coming.
Doug please do a Mikki hand next, I want you to walk through all of his brilliant plays
Mikki is up there right next to Phil Ivey in my eyes
Not sure if trolling or serious

I’m glad you are making “Selbster hands” videos again Vanessa! It’s just a bit weird seeing you without the tank top
YES!!!....please do these hand reviews again. A LOT!! Always the best at it. Thank you
Awesome! Glad to see the hand analysis is back! Is it useful for a guy that plays 1/2NL? Hell no. Is it interesting and entertaining? Hell yes!
Was this made before the $2m pot in Persson vs Antonious??? Big, back in the day, fan so looking forward to more content!!
my man is back on these street s. I been paitiently waiting on this grind for so long hahahaa
Thats actually so sick cause you know he has the nut flush here. Alan still calls cause hes insane.
Doug love from India.. Great to see Doug review hands back 🇮🇳
Glad to see your back Doug, a true poker OG
you’re*
Good stuff, glad you are back
Glad your back doing this Doug 👍
This is great Doug , more interesting from you to do this kind of stuff
2 Doug videos in 2 days, and one of them had DNegs as a collaborator. The simulation took a weird turn in 2023 and I am absolutely here for it.
Thanks for doing this.
There’s a straight flush out there too. 89s, which is definitely in there as played.
Love that your making videos again!
So glad you are back! We miss you
We missed Polker hands. Great video as always!
hyped to see more content
Welcome back Doug!
Yay! Good to see you back
I love Handz for this, he has a TON of heart and earned himself some fans.
Whoa, Doug with an Ali and Mike Mcdermott-like return to the hand coverage ring.
Love seeing the new content man!
This hand is the perfect example of why people shouldn’t be playing theoretically vs every opponent. Not sure what he’s trying to get Keating to fold bc he’s never folding a flush here even though GTO bot might
Handz played the hand so goddam well; few players would pull the trigger there.
Awesome break down, Doug!
Glad to have you back Doug. Lookin like a snack too
looking forward to more!
Wondered where you went Doug. Your commentary is the best.
Had a good chuckle from Brads surprised face pic at the end…
So glad doug is back to content. 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
You know it’s a good move when a station like keating was wanting to fold the 3rd nuts. If he had a Q high flush I think it works.
"theoretically.. seems fine" thank you doug
great analysis. also would like to hear thoughts on doing this play vs a pro and vs a rec. I feel like rec are more call happy? thoughts.
great video!
Doug 5 years ago- I'm done with poker! 2023 - proceeds to open biggest poker room in US plus does million dollar pots breakdowns
Polker Hands: Polker Never Dies Handz sure has alot of heart, unlucky
He’s back baby!
Actually the biggest live stream pot was almost $2M with Eric Persson and Patrik Antonius on PokerGo $1mil cash game
great video man
Love the content Doug, keep it up yeeeah boooi
Your insights are very good, and you’re looking very fit💪
Keating has the 3rd nuts, not 2nd. 9s8s isn’t entirely out of the question given the pre flip action and board texture.
awesome stuff, thank you
Nice Polker Handz video!
no thoughts/discussion on what Keating's calling range should look like vs that jam on that river?
Hard to say, im not sure what your lead range looks like. But I imagine most flushes should call, esp paired ones.
@@DougPolkPoker Could just flip a coin if you have that small unpaired flush
@@DougPolkPoker if he had king high flush and it was 300k to call for 800k+ pot wasn't it bad to bluff with the amount of pot equity keating had?
@@DougPolkPoker Regardless of *should*, it's Alan Keating! Call range is top pair +, and probably 8s too
Doug is everywhere, love to see it. 😍😍
I'd like to see a video breakdown of Garretts strategy in getting reads when he tanks for like 10 minutes almost on the biggest pots HU.... i.e; what's his method to illicit information and how he's been able to make some hero folds when he's generally so aggressive. Some folds he makes I just can't comprehend.... and yeah, he spends well over 5 minutes on a number of these biggest decisions.
Thanks Doug !
Theoretically a great video
Polk: I like the play here. It's a good play. Also Polk: in theory.... It's a good play... In theory
It’s a high level play just unfortunate he had 2nd nut. He folds so many hands here vs that jam.
He picked the wrong person to bluff
Emperor Doug is back!
98 spades is the nut flush
The content grind!!!!!
Polker hands is back I love it
i'd be so angry that my opponent has put me in that position that i would snap call just out of spite lol
Rejoice! Polker hands are back!!
Keep em rolling bro

have you ever seen a fish folding a flush? Me neither
