Hello it’s been almost 2 years since i made a walk-around style video of the talon so I figured I would do it now. The car went through the most changes during 2022 compared to 21 and 20 when i owned it before, so i thought it would be best to document the state of the car post-2022. I also go over a few plans that I would like to do with the car in the future but I don’t know if I will do them in 2023 or not.

  • I had a 1997 Eclipse GS-T for 7 or 8 years! ECM Link, Evo III 16G, Greddy exhaust. Great cars. I like the Eagle Talon design a lot too! Cool name and I like the two tone paint

  • Hi Andrew, Great Job on your Walk-Around of my 1998 Eagle Talon TSi (D32A) from a year ago. I just discovered it just by looking to see if anyone is still loving the stock Talons. I bought (new) a 1990 (Dec '89) TSI AWD and loved it. Had it past 98K miles. Still my favorite car. I have been trying find out more about the '98's just to see what they are like. Hope you are still enjoying your. Great energy! Cheers!

    • I really love my 98, its been such a great car to own. I don’t have much experience with the first generation cars but from what I can tell the ownership experience seems very similar, i have friends who say my car seems more comfortable and more spacious than the previous generation, which seems to match up with the Motorweek review by John Davis. My car recently passed 170k miles and it’s been great, I drive it everyday and it just starts up and drives awesome, I can’t believe it’s 26 years old, great handling and power, just honestly a great car

  • Very clean, the door handle is actually really easy to replace. You should pull the door card and take a look and see if the latch assembly is corroded. Also you need to use the right primer and also primer will not stop water (water will pass through it). I'm trying to track down 2gb talon fog lights actually, only think my 2gb talon is missing.

  • Nice Talon! I had a 95 GST for 15 years. I sold it to a friend whom has only made one payment then he traded it for a street bike. Still have regrets to this day. An I no longer associate with that person. But, I ended up upgrading an got myself an Evo. I still miss the GST. But, I will be buying a 2GB Talon this week. Non turbo, but it's OK, I just need it as a daily. I can't wait! Same color as my previous GST too.

    • Thats awesome! I love the styling of the 2gb talon, it’s so unique. I daily drive mine and it’s very practical.

    • @andrew.4g63 Indeed. I was shocked I seen one for sale. I've never seen one around my town, but I've seen 2G eclipses here an there. Goes to show how rare Talons are. Many don't know what it is or have even heard of the Manufacturer. I might do a live video of when I pick up on my IG. It's going to be an awesome moment getting a DSM again.

    • Ive sold mine last 6 yrs ago still missing it. Eventhough you bought the same model color etc its just not the same attachment. Biggest mistake ive ever done😢.

      @ydnar5@ydnar5 Жыл бұрын
    • @ydnar5 Know exactly how you feel. I like my 97 Talon an all, but it won't replace the attachment I had with my 95 GST that was in the family from 1995-2015. I loved the 4g63 platform, learned a lot from it. That car made me the mechanic I am today.

    • Man i love the uniqueness of the european spec models, I’d love to import one to USA. The talon was sold only in North America, or at least USA and Canada, i saw one imported to the UK but I’m sure there isn’t very many in Europe

      @andrew.4g637@andrew.4g637 Жыл бұрын
    • @@andrew.4g637 yeah i only ever saw one 2G Eagle Talon leaving a pretty popular German car meet right as i arrived which was really unfortunate. But the 1G Talons are a bit more common here, i bought one as my first car 1.5 Years Ago and since then there have been 2 others listed online so there are a couple around but they’re rare

  • I need a new sunroof. Did u end up using yours?

    @felixaripa6482@felixaripa64828 күн бұрын
    • Yeah I did, one of the rails broke so I replaced it with one from the spare sunroof assembly, so now that one wouldn’t work on its own

  • I had a 1997 TSI AWD black like this one... TBH it was a pack of problems, not to mention it rusted so fast. At one point I had to change the transmission, then the whole engine was reviewed by Mitsubishi cost me like 5K$... Gave up the car for like 1500$ like go away money pit. I didn't care for the buyer or the car I was really through all this. The dislikes also are insufficient brakes (I toasted them so easily it glazed on me). Nah. That car was not great stock. Prior to that one I had a 1992 TSI AWD white with black top, which I really enjoyed. Yet, again it's a small car 4 banger so brakes were crap, acceleration was decent, , but handling wasn't up to snuff to any of today's basic 4 banger, so .... Overall beh, pass. No regrets. If someone wants a 4G63, get an Evo.
