Whoever interviewed these people brought out the deep philosopher in all of them 😲👏👏👏
Mike sounds like he's still in character.
Mike is still in character, still with the Riff accent
You sure that’s not his regular accent?
@@joewhitehead3 no, he talks normally, he’s just perfected the accent it slips out sometimes
Steven Spielberg is a god. he's a legend and will never be surpassed. can't wait for West Side Story! 👏
Steven Spielberg is super! 👍👍👍👍👍 West Side Story will be a classic!
ONE OF THE MOST DIFFICULT MOVIES TO REDO !! I NEVER THOUGHT I WUD SAY THIS BIT STEVEN SPIELBERG TAKE A BOW
I agree
The last part about Dudamel and the NYP has not been treated as much as the rest. I wish someone would do a piece about the recording of the soundtrack...with the stars, Dudamel, and the NYP. I have the soundtrack and said elsewhere that it doesn't sound like a soundtrack. It is musically tight and has incredible energy beyond either the 1961 or the 1957 recordings. I'd love to know the story behind that story. Arguably of the four original "elements" of WSS, the Bernstein/Sondheim elements were changed the least and yet come across so strongly.
This is by far the best interviews I have seen on this movie! Thank you so much for posting.
Thanks for watching
CineMagna - Movies Behind The Scenes can you upload West Side Story B-Roll. You just upload the soundbites.
We upload them when we get them and edit them for upload. You should know how it works by now.
@@CineMagna Ok, I appreciate it.
It'll be uploaded in the morning.
@@CineMagna Thanks.
Probably the great success of the film was the Spanish dialogue without subtitles, also "eliminating the dominance of English over Spanish in America" we were told. Also contributing to the movies high grossing box office; Rachel Zegler, whose pronouns are she/her/hers according to her Twitter feed, previously called America a “godforsaken country” in response to the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict. “Kyle Rittenhouse being acquitted on all charges after such heinous heinous crimes is the epitome of white privilege and exactly what is wrong with this godforsaken country,” she tweeted in November This, along with an accused sexual predator in the lead role, makes for a new era in America film making.
not putting in subtitles was a mistake
It has close caption in English. Is there a particular language you want?
@@CineMagna She’s probably talking about the movie itself. In any case there is no more un-subtitled Spanish in this film than there is un-subtitled German in Schindler’s List.
@@Tolstoy111 Same with Saving Private Ryan which also has unsubbed German, French, and more. Can't believe people are up in arms about this film not having subtitles when Spielberg has done it multiple times in his career lol
If she weren't so woke, Rachel would be perfect - gorgeous, supremely talented, charming, glib, pleasant, mature beyond her years... but woke.
What does that even mean?
@@jamesdavidson1263 Good question
why is it bad to be woke lmao
