Toyota Just WON Cars

Toyota just WON cars! With the announcement of the new Century not just as a car but as a stand alone brand, Toyota is firmly cementing themselves as the most competitive car company in the world.
And oh yea - they're building a new supercar as well!
In the last FIFTY YEARS Toyota has come to absolutely DOMINATE the car market.
The brand makes best in class econoboxes, trucks, SUVs, and minivans.
The Lexus badge goes toe-to-toe with Germany’s finest.
And for us enthusiasts? They’re firing on all cylinders thanks to Gazoo Racing.
But when it comes to ULTRA luxury - competing with the Rolls Royces, Aston Martins, Bentleys and Maybachs of the world - Toyota, on the world stage anyway,
has always steered clear
- until now!
You see, there’s some breaking news -
thanks to Forbes - a Toyota executive let slip that not only is the new Toyota Century coming to foreign markets (including North America)!
But that the Century name will be transitioned into its own BRAND that will sit ABOVE Lexus in terms of luxury and exclusivity!

    • They’re talking about bringing back the MR2 as well. I want to see a run of affordable everyday man convertibles. They didn’t want to put anymore money into a quick partnership on that 86 but could you imagine. My dream combo (at my financing) would be GX And a twin turbo 4, 6, or I would even play with electric MR2 in the front yard. You?

    • @alejandronopasanada5302 not sure if a convertible is needed, but they could always drop the top of the 86. Miata does need some competition. I think a higher end MR2 to compete with the corvette would be amazing. But for it to sell they may have to change the name, as MR2 doesn't really hold the "Prestige" of a top of the line model

    • @@alejandronopasanada5302 MR2 would probably be better these days, i can go into details why it happened but a lot of the widowmaker nature of it was due to popularized ride and handling compromises (jacked up rear suspension, soft front in simple terms, various older Corvettes, S2000, many 90s-2000s era supercars all suffered this with variety of different setups but same goal and compromise as result) but these days they can meet ride and handling without all the compromises to at the limit stability. Convertible option or Targa could be cool but personally in agreement with others i would hope it has proper hardtop model.

  • I've known Toyota was the best since I moved to Hawaii. Every car was a Toyota‼️ When I moved it was 1968. Living in Portland I saw a Toyota lot from a friend's house high up and it went forever. I'm from Detroit and was very familiar with our cars. I was a travel agent in Boca Raton FL. I had the 5 Southeastern states of Toyota as my clients. Received the J.D. Power Award. Well as you can imagine I bought a Toyota Prius, then a Rav 4 and more Priuses over the years. They all were fantastic and no complaints. I did a survey in Florida of car mechanics and asked which cars they saw the least. Right away it was Toyota and Honda. I'll never forget the time I had to get 4 states to the 5th state for a convention at the same time. That way Toyota would have to go to the airport once to pick everyone up. Somehow I did it. They couldn't believe it. I was the first travel agent to do it. This was back in the 80's... the real good ol days 👍

  • I remembered when the 1st and 2nd gen toyota were only available for you is when Toyota invited you to buy them. The Century is not "just a luxury" car. Its a status car, you have to be a CEO of a big company to be invited. If ur just a movie star or singer thats not a status in japan. But right now you can get then second hand.

  • With that price, they better put way more power than 400 hp, and way more torque to move that heavy boat.

    • Why not? Germans make garbage. Lexus IS the only brand that has proven that it is possible to make a luxurious high performance car, that is also reliable. It’s laughable when people reefer to Euro trash as luxurious and premium, while it breaks apart on you every other day, with a new electrical gremlin every day to deal with. Doesn’t sound like a luxurious experience to me.
