Toyota just WON cars! With the announcement of the new Century not just as a car but as a stand alone brand, Toyota is firmly cementing themselves as the most competitive car company in the world.
And oh yea - they're building a new supercar as well!
In the last FIFTY YEARS Toyota has come to absolutely DOMINATE the car market.
The brand makes best in class econoboxes, trucks, SUVs, and minivans.
The Lexus badge goes toe-to-toe with Germany’s finest.
And for us enthusiasts? They’re firing on all cylinders thanks to Gazoo Racing.
But when it comes to ULTRA luxury - competing with the Rolls Royces, Aston Martins, Bentleys and Maybachs of the world - Toyota, on the world stage anyway,
has always steered clear
- until now!
You see, there’s some breaking news -
thanks to Forbes - a Toyota executive let slip that not only is the new Toyota Century coming to foreign markets (including North America)!
But that the Century name will be transitioned into its own BRAND that will sit ABOVE Lexus in terms of luxury and exclusivity!

Toyota took off/coasted for way too long, but they are killing it right now! Supra, GR86, GR corolla etc. This generation will go down in history as one of the best.
They’re talking about bringing back the MR2 as well. I want to see a run of affordable everyday man convertibles. They didn’t want to put anymore money into a quick partnership on that 86 but could you imagine. My dream combo (at my financing) would be GX And a twin turbo 4, 6, or I would even play with electric MR2 in the front yard. You?
@alejandronopasanada5302 not sure if a convertible is needed, but they could always drop the top of the 86. Miata does need some competition. I think a higher end MR2 to compete with the corvette would be amazing. But for it to sell they may have to change the name, as MR2 doesn't really hold the "Prestige" of a top of the line model
@@alejandronopasanada5302new mr2 gonna be 70k :(
@@alejandronopasanada5302 MR2 would probably be better these days, i can go into details why it happened but a lot of the widowmaker nature of it was due to popularized ride and handling compromises (jacked up rear suspension, soft front in simple terms, various older Corvettes, S2000, many 90s-2000s era supercars all suffered this with variety of different setups but same goal and compromise as result) but these days they can meet ride and handling without all the compromises to at the limit stability. Convertible option or Targa could be cool but personally in agreement with others i would hope it has proper hardtop model.
They actually have these in japan saw it around september. Theres a lot of cars that don't make it to the USA.
there are whole brands that don't make it into the US
He mentioned that in the video...
The Century has been THE luxury car in Japan for decades, time for the rest of the world to catch up!
Facts! I knew about the century for years and I’m only 21 yrs old 🤣
God bless me with a land Cruiser
God bless me as well with a Lexus LX570 super sport kuro 🖤
Seriously, you guys can't afford these cars? You need to start some smart investments. These cars are cheap, actually. And you can get them used.
@@densilcardna really bro, how does that work!?
@@rkdsvlogs6391 For starters, Coding, AI, Courier, Sales, etc. The options are endless. In which country do you live? Very good, used Toyotas are dead cheap.

Honestly I would buy the SUV version of the Century when I have the money as it can go forever and with that kind of money I would expect it to run for at least 500 thousand miles.
its engineered to go a MILLION miles with normal maintenance...
It will with reg manit. Your son will be passing it down to his son.
my 2001 Toyota Yaris that I bought for $2800 when it had 330,000 on the clock, now has just over 910,000km (560,000miles) and the only thing ive EVER changed on it was the oxygen sensor and airbag sensor that died. both of which cost me like $40 bucks if i remember correctly. you just change oil, filters, window wipers and tires regularly and that little shit can goes literally anywhere. ive been EVERYWHERE with that car... concrete, mud, snow, vallyes, mountains, offroad, 20h drive business trips, week long cross country fun rides, going with it to my off grid vacation home every summer and so on and so forth... meanwhile, my 2022 BMW G30 is barely two years old and i already had the bling sound and check engine light come up twice and then turn off and nobody can tell me why... toyota is the way.

Hello young man, I am John Chan the fisherman. I will be 54 yr old in a tick. Since I got older, I only have toyt in my fleet. I have owned many different types of cars. Just to name a few, 911 C4S, evox, mustang rtr, corvette C7......ext. Learned toyt last long and cost less to maintain. Current cars my wife and I own a 2007 tundra 5.7 liter, 2023 gr86, 2013 rx350, 2018 nx300, and last but least a 2007 rx350, enjoy all of them. Oh yeah by the way my truck has 189k on it, I pull my boat every summer. She purs like a kitten. Enjoy your video, thanks
Toyota has always been the best and probably always will be. There is no replacement for quality and that’s where Toyota absolutely dominates.
Lexus was actually always above Toyota in terms of both quality and reliability. (But then again, Lexus is Toyota.)
@@nogerboher5266Did you know that Lexus is short for Luxury Exports to the U.S.. I just learned this recently
@@CopMortyI’m a fan and hope to buy one soon. However, I’ve heard that story is just a very strong rumor that no one cares to refute.
Not even close. Toyota is the best for stupid people.
@@user-wt5bf4rw7e Buddy... You do realize that Lexus/Toyota have by far the best reliability, longevity AND quality ratings out of the entire market?! Right?! That includes the likes of Rolls Royce, Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini and so on and so forth... Yes, Lexus/Toyota ranks above and beyond even these manufacturers.
200k now add dealer markups like they did with the demon 170
mark ups prolly aren't gonna be as crazy by the time this car comes out
Toyota isnt dodge
Demon 170 was marked up because of the culture and rarity
This is pretty awesome I just need to win the powerball now. But seriously I wish Toyota would start making motorcycles and boats too. Can you imagine how awesome they'd be? 😮
They did make boats Toyota MARINE, search it up
@@iamcarl4591and for motorcycles they owe part of Yamaha. Toyo motors actually stopped produce motorcycles in 1960.
After that they make military aircrafts and planes
I've known Toyota was the best since I moved to Hawaii. Every car was a Toyota‼️ When I moved it was 1968. Living in Portland I saw a Toyota lot from a friend's house high up and it went forever. I'm from Detroit and was very familiar with our cars. I was a travel agent in Boca Raton FL. I had the 5 Southeastern states of Toyota as my clients. Received the J.D. Power Award. Well as you can imagine I bought a Toyota Prius, then a Rav 4 and more Priuses over the years. They all were fantastic and no complaints. I did a survey in Florida of car mechanics and asked which cars they saw the least. Right away it was Toyota and Honda. I'll never forget the time I had to get 4 states to the 5th state for a convention at the same time. That way Toyota would have to go to the airport once to pick everyone up. Somehow I did it. They couldn't believe it. I was the first travel agent to do it. This was back in the 80's... the real good ol days 👍
Strong suite of Toyota is they pay attention to engine department more than others, regarding the quality control.
The LFA successor Is actually the LFR or the gt3 one you mentioned
We're riding with ya.Great video.
Man that's going to cost a pretty penny, but imagine seeing one cruising down the road.
I mean it's not like German cars are renown for reliability... I get what you mean though, when you have that kind of cash, who really cares about reliability, I mean if you have enough nearly any car is disposable.
Absolutely the Century will grab a huge chunk in the States. Toyota has such a huge amount of confidence from us Yankees. And I really don't think it'll take much for them to sway the consumer cultist celebrities. A free ride here, a free ride there. A couple sponsorships, & done.
Once you go Toyota you never go back to anotha
Nice to see the Century back. It would be pretty dope to scoop the v12s off the old ones for a backyard project
Bro, how is 259+180+107 gives you 406? Is my math wrong or that should be 546 hp?
It's supposed to be 546hp, not 406hp.
I’ve heard this “mistake” with these types of drives. My head cannon says is not ALL connected in some way. Like you don’t or can’t get it all in one torque conversion
@@alejandronopasanada5302 but it’s not about torque. He was talking about the HP of that car…
@@RGB-Reactions I miss typed and knew I did when I hit enter. I meant horsepower and this is a theory from what I’ve seen over and over. I will say, the first one with all that split system that I paid attention to was the NSX. No one got that math wrong or misreported.
with hybrids powertrains you don't simply add numbers up. it is the same with lexus is - 177 hp petrol engine, cca 100kw (or cca 140 hp) electric, total power output 223 hp instead of cca 317. the way electric motor and petrol engine combine power works a bit differently.
Is it just me or does anyone else see the griswold family truckster when they see the double stacked headlights and taillights of the century SUV?
A manual EV would be a gamechanger for the entire world. But the screams of the LFA will surely be missed. And that LFA kinda looks a lot like a trion nemesis.
They already do that in formula e, audi e tron, porsche taycan but these cars are built for performance. But for regular people (daily use) its not worth it, because an electric motor doesnt need a transmision. Adding clutch and transmission will just be less efficient, add more weight, more parts to break, and cost more.
It would be cool, but hard to justify for car manufacturers. But if I was going to make a 1 off car and it had to be electric, I would definitely put a 6 speed In it for the smiles per gallon factor.

The margin on luxury products is much higher in general. Makes sense. Lotsa money out there, somewhere.
A few of my friends have each of the GR cars along with a broski with manny Corolla hatch another with a dope Tacoma and a dope TC another with a nice sedan rolla I my self have a Lexus and twin with another friend in a different Lexus We rep Toyota like a set They make something for everyone in multiple generations
When I hear someone has a Toyota I be like "you have a reliable car but you're not cool" sadly but true.
man, i love that clip 0:53
just realised that u looked so much like a famous Dubai KZheadr, Khalid Al Ameri😅
I think they need to press those numbers a bit. Hell, the Lincoln Aviator Black Label Grand Touring has 494hp and 630 ft-lb with their plug in.
Agree even thats better than toyota
They surely will, but even with all that, that toyota is gonna be 25% lighter for sure... (So better real performances) Just look at those toyota crowns being 1.6tons vs similar mercedes sedans being 2tons+
It'll have 546 going for it, video got the number wrong.
This is amazing, I legit just saw the Selica I think (the v12 thing) in an old movie trailer and said to myself "damn, these could actually be sick" . . .. OK so Google said it was the century
Please let the sedan century come to the US market. It’s 5 liter v12 1GZ-FE engine is so good. I want one of those bad boys to tinker with so badly.
That's the GZG50, the V12 was from 97-17. The new model designation is the UWG60 that has the mentioned hybrid V8. You can import the V12s now however. A super clean one tops at 20k when importable minus import fees.
Make a video on the Barra inline 6 engine...
Gazoo Racing needs to be its own brand too and start making sport/super/hypercar
Bentley for me that Toyota just looks like a genesis
Was looking for this comment! Took a page out of Hyundai's book...in more ways than one! Lol
"Until now" well, they have had a Century sedan before, but I've heard that it'll only be in Japan. If it does come to other places, however

One USP Toyota has in the ultra-luxury market is actually being reliable
Is it fancier than the xb7?
That straight pipe century does NOT sound like an angel singing 💀💀

Gazoo? Nah, bring back TOM'S.
GR Century will have somewhere above 550 Horsepower 💀❤ yeah baby By the way i bought 911 Turbo (New)
It is better enginered, more reliable, and looks great. However, the majority of people are too dumb to fall for that deal.
God bless me with a 2007 Camry, it's one of a kind with a 5 Speed Manual Transmission.
I’ll trust Toyota to do a good job better than those other luxury brands cuz Toyota just doesn’t miss.
Maaaan, when companies start to launch super mega premium brands then u know we are in for tough times, this mirrors the decades pre/during/just after the big depression, basically during hard times. The companies scale down the volume and charge more as the vast majority dont have money for their products... hate this but soon we are there again.
i was screaming at my screen untill 3:30, after that i was good.
Toyoda just doing the most
The Toyota CEO said "no more boring cars", ultra-luxury cars are not boring!
imagine if it also had a v12 lol
I hope that the sedan comes to europe
That styling tho...
You grew up wanted a Supra MK4, I grew up wanting a 1st gen NSX. We are not the same.
1st gen NSX is my dream car!
So you’re not any different then
Still remember the days when you have hundred plus subscribers and picking on your little mistakes...those days man...now you've got million plus subs congrats
as an european im so used to Lexus giving me the middle finger, yet i always come back for more beatings
Bing back the 70s Celica with a front v8 engine and rear drive. As far as the LFA? I wouldn't park one in my driveway if someone paid me 1.00 and said you can keep it. As far as the SUV looking thing is concerned. Let grandma and grandpa have it.
Toyota should make a modern century sedan with a v12 like the old one That would be so awesome, it might replace my all time fav car s65 amg fe but sadly they will not a v12 modern sedan
When the Century is 3 years old and 70% off its original MSRP I’ll be strongly considering one. I couldn’t give a shit about brand prestige. My ideal garage would be the Century SUV, a 911 GTS, and maybe an extended cab Tacoma. All my needs and wants are covered right there.
In about 15-20 years when the Century suv has aged a bit, and the value has dropped significantly. I will definitely buy one. Or at least look for one and still complain that I can’t afford it. 😂😂😂
"T O Y O T A"
C O R O L L A
The century while nice, technically isn't meant to be super luxurious, its supposed to have everything you NEED in a car but also with simplicity in mind because of the cars use as a chauffer vehicle, meaning it should never break down.
Did Homer Simpson design it
Damn now the old century’s about to cost 100k 😂😂
Dont forget Daihatsu too
406?! 🤔 140 is missing in translation?!
Looks like a genesis
I remembered when the 1st and 2nd gen toyota were only available for you is when Toyota invited you to buy them. The Century is not "just a luxury" car. Its a status car, you have to be a CEO of a big company to be invited. If ur just a movie star or singer thats not a status in japan. But right now you can get then second hand.
And... they new 10k pickup truck that is going to kill
Watch out Chrysler 300, you're about to be off the road by the next poor man's Bently 😂😂
Gotta love toyota 👌
what makes it worth that price tag tho
Only six cylinders in something that costs in excess of $150k is tragic
Hope they bring the mr2 and make it the fun affordable car like the miata, thats the only thing they need to dominate and increase sales (i know but the gt86 its not worth it)
With that price, they better put way more power than 400 hp, and way more torque to move that heavy boat.
I think the century will sell well in the United States
Tell that to Porsche who now only sells Direct to consumers.
Should bring Crown back
MY BODY IS READY.
I once had an idea to create an ultra luxury car with ultra reliability, using the strongest steel materials to keep up its strength. I guess Toyota took over the idea, haha!
Never seen a car so worth it and not worth it so much.
Toyota FTW❤🎉
The new bronco is just a FJ Cruiser wannabe. Fight me on that lol.
I love the Toyota engines.reliable engines
Reliability wise, yeah the other high luxury brands may be quivering. Performance how ever is a long shot, unless Toyota chooses to go all out as well.
I wouldnt be able to afford em in a century
0:58 The sedan won't be based off the same architecture.
EV with three pedals is fucking sick. I was thinking about that recently and how I'd make one hope its good.
I mean with Toyota's track record of reliability some companies about to go bankrupt 😂
Toyota has one major problem with bringing the Century in the USA. GMC owns the name for cars Buick Century (sp)

fuck ifvi had ultra luxury money id get a century suv or sedan gah damn
supra - bmw 86 - brz does toyota has anything oroginal ? :D
the 86/brz was a collab car. Subaru and Toyota teamed up to build it.
"The lexus badge goes toe to toe with Germany's finest" was the point where I realized this video has to be satire.
Why not? Germans make garbage. Lexus IS the only brand that has proven that it is possible to make a luxurious high performance car, that is also reliable. It’s laughable when people reefer to Euro trash as luxurious and premium, while it breaks apart on you every other day, with a new electrical gremlin every day to deal with. Doesn’t sound like a luxurious experience to me.
