    • As is Becky (Keith's wife) from my understanding. I imagine that's why Keith looks so worn out and dissappinted; he's dealing with his friends betrayal, his business's reputation, and his partner's emotions all at once. Keith always gave me the sense that he is the shoulder to cry on among his circle and I imagine he is overwhelmed by all of the hurt from this situation.

  • The other reasons why Eugene is likely upset is that one, he came from a divorced household himself, so he knows how that can and will affect Ned and Ariel's children. And two, Eugene has said in the past how much he admired Ned as a husband and father, so it's like Ned stepped all over the admiration.

But in truth everyone helped support each other. Zach and Keith talked a little bit about it on the podcast, in how helpful their partners have been in navigating all of this, especially Zach mentioned Becky [Keith's wife] being a lifeline for him during last month, as well as Matt [Eugene's partner]. They've known each other for a long time, as well as each others partners, I have no doubt they all consider each other family, which is why this must be so painful for all of them. • The look on Eugene’s face was so intense that I felt like I was in trouble. I hate that they even had to make a video to get ahead of it all. I can’t imagine how shitty they must feel because of Neds actions. He did this knowing it could ruin his career and marriage. It’s just stupid and really really disrespectful. People make mistakes but he had a lot more of a higher risk of losing the respect of those in his life and he just didn’t care.

    @alynsak@alynsak Жыл бұрын
    • He did whatever he did with the knowledge he was risking EVERYONES career. The other 3 "guys" with whom, as Eugene states they had spent 8 years working to build a brand and he betrayed all of them with his actions. On top of the other Guys, I think that Keith said in the video that they have a staff of 20 employees. So he was not just risking ruining his own career, as well as potentially destroying his family, he was also putting that risk, and the livelihoods of 23 other people at risk. It isn't the cheating that is even the biggest issue in so many ways, even though that is bad, and is very sad, hugely hypocritical seeing as he was the "My Wife" guy, and deeply painful for the people immediately affected by those actions. The bigger issue though as far as I understand isn't the cheating. It is the power disparity, that ned had over the one person I am aware that he cheated with, and all the legal and ethical ramifications of that. He was in a position of authority so even if a snog/one night stand/fling/full blown affair occurred and was technically consensual, the massive power imbalance of a manager, founder, basically the boss of the company, and an employee... that's bad. Don't do that. I mean, just look at what Eugene briefly mentioned about the amount of people they'd immediately had to involve to basically conduct an investigation and effectively call a workplace audit on their own company! It is so much more than just "a cheating scandal" or whatever. I do agree though, the look on Eugene's face, felt like he was going to burn laser holes from inside my screen!

    • @@theinvisibleneonrainbowzeb2567 yeah, what's worse is that Ned was acting as HR at one point. So he absolutely, without a doubt, knew what the fuck he was doing by having a relationship with a subordinate employee and not notifying HR. He knew he was putting the company in danger by doing that. Because if Alex had been fired for ANY reason during the time that she had a relationship with Ned. She could turn around and sue the company for sexual misconduct or for wrongful termination. So Ned was risking a lawsuit towards the company with his affair. Which wouldn't have been a thing if he just had an affair with some random person who was not connected to the company. So yeah, the cheating was shitty and hypocritical and very gross but it's the tiniest part of the actual malestrom of drama that's happening. This unfortunately isn't just a normal cheating scandal it's much deeper and worse for the try guys as a company. They said on the try guys podcast that they had to be VERY careful and do things 100% by the book. They couldn't rush anything. They couldn't say the wrong thing or do the wrong thing for fear of opening themselves up to a lawsuit. They had to be patient with the actions that they took, basically. Which is why it took them about a month to announce anything because they had to wait for the internal review to be 100% completed before they made a public announcement about anything. But during that month fans turned into little detectives and we're digging into stuff that they couldn't get ahead of, unfortunately.

    • @@AnxietyRat Oh dear, wow yeah that makes it even worse that he was or had been working in HR, and there's no way that he was not aware of the severity of his actions. Mr Yale graduate, and "my wife" man, who was working as HR either before or during the indiscretions and he still did this. His behaviour seems ever shittier the more I learn. The actual cheating is, as you said (and with more details, knowledge and information about the legalities than I have) the tiniest part of the actual maelstrom of horrendous misconduct, abuse of power and seemingly utter disregard of his (former) colleagues, employees, brand, company, reputation, relationships, everything basically.

And that it did effect so many people and their jobs. If I were the guys I'd be sad and angry too. I hate that not only did they lose a work partner, they lost a best friend, cause I don't see them being friends after this. In the podcast, Keith and Zach did say that Ariel is still part of the podcast with Maggie and Becky but that they are giving her time to figure out if that's something she still wants to do and her own stuff. • I think the biggest things to remember when it comes to these guys is; 1) They looked up to Ned and Ariel and their marriage and they've started long term relationships through the years, one resulting in marriage and one on the way. Essentially it'd be like having close family members suddenly separate or divorce. 2) Eugene is the child of divorced parents and that's deeply traumatizing to every child. He's said in past videos how he doesn't really believe in true love or that all marriages will last etc... When he started a long term relationship and moving in together with his current partner I had wondered if his heart was healing a bit and he was starting to believe in love and relationships... and then this happens. I imagine it must bring up so many insecurities and bad memories from his parent's divorce. Also, he strikes me as incredibly loyal and it takes a lot to earn his trust so this betrayal cut deep. 3) They all know Ariel very well and all of their partners are also close to Ariel as well...she's not disconnected and she's actually an employee of the company as well. 4) Ned and Ariel were at Keith and Becky's wedding. It'll be very difficult to look at some of their wedding photos and video footage now as Buzzfeed basically sponsored the wedding 5) They were together for 8 years working besides each other, starting a buisness, hanging out, supporting one another etc. They spent an incredible amount of time together and obviously were very close so to learn of such a betrayal going on for over a year would be like the rug being pulled out from under their feet

  • The moments I found most notable were the times Eugene had to pause to rein himself back in because he felt himself getting too emotional. Those really emphasized what you said about the guys holding back their emotion; I’m surprised you didn’t address them specifically. ETA: I’m also surprised you didn’t address their initial/general body language. Is Eugene’s posture with the horizontally crossed leg a blocking gesture? Is Keith’s arm over the back of the sofa an attempt to be more casual? A way to support Zach? Both? Neither?

    @melaniemagolan2241@melaniemagolan2241 Жыл бұрын
    • I read Keith's arm over the back of the sofa as an attempt to support Zach personally. From the podcast they revealed the only one that happened to be in the office to steer the ship happened to be Zach because of incredibly poor timing, so he had to be the one calling the lawyers and working shit out, only being able to talk to Keith and Eugene through the phone. Out of all of them, Zach has to be the most tired, so it would make sense that Keith would want to make him more comfortable, even if subconsciously. As well, they seemed to be the first try guys to befriend each other. Idk if they were friends before, but from Zach's own words, "Keith and I were already tight", so they've been friends for quite a while.

  • Eugene was in his vengeful Zuko arc in this video. I expect he's about to unlock his fire-bending abilities any time now. 🔥🔥🔥 Seriously though, I found watching the Try Guy's emotions in this super reassuring. It's easy to tell they had no idea about Ned, and are genuinely doing their best to deal with such a horrible situation in a respectful manner. I hope that the guys can overcome this quickly. The 3 guys are such a joy to watch, so I look forward to what they will accomplish going forward!

  • Thanks for covering this. I watched Alot of try guys for the past few yrs & I've been so happy for them in all their success, so I really hope they can still find that success still. Its crazy how involved all these fans are. I felt their emotions thru this video, & it very sad hearing how much they had to go thru as a company. These kinds of things ruin friendship easily. I don't know how Ariel can continue doing anything try guys adjacent since they are trying to fix the marriage, which I think Is good. Throwing away a marriage is no small thing so to say off that bat that divorce is the only solutio. This has a us a company involved & it's just a mess. I feel for everyone involved.

  • My heart truly goes out to the three of them, they invested so much of their lives for it all to go down so unceremoniously imo. On a totally separate note, can I just say how incredibly inspiring it is that Piper has totally embraced their new self and Logan being so supportive of it all? I know so many couples who'd honestly break under such transitions, and I love how wholesome you 2 are with it.

  • Hey Observe team, hope you’re having a good day. Thank you for the content and continuing to offer information about body language. I’ve been a long time fan of the channel and hope I can offer some gentle feedback. Piper has some pretty stellar braids in this video. Love the color and how they compliment the fit. I know you all are good people, with good intentions at the center of your work, so if you have time, would you mind looking into the history of fairy locks and how it’s considered appropriation? I’m not poc and I am not an expert on this topic. However I do know there is a lot of complicated history with dreadlocks. Hoping to be helpful. I apologize if this message is uncalled for. Piper looks absolute amazing! Just want to make sure their prepared for how it could make them look to bipoc. Thank you for your time and consideration. 🙏🏼
