We should all realize how "special" CJ was last year when he changed the fortune of the Texans as a rookie.
Obviously JD is NOT the clear-cut 2nd QB on Washington's board. Skinny, takes shots, runs. You are drafting for the long-haul, not for his rookie year alone. Must be thorough, hopefully they won't pick this high for a long long time.

Why should Washington draft Jayden Daniels??? Washington fans have any of you seen that style of play work and last in the NFL. It may worl for a yr but it does work long term. Why should they pick a quarterback who you have to build a system around. Wouldn't you want a quarterback who fits any system. Thus is the biggest decision the commanders have faced. Please don't fall for the manipulation. If Washington selects Drake Maye Jayden Daniels could fall in the draft and his agent knows it and espn knows it as well.
Drake Maye will join this list of 1st round QBs since 2000, who entered the draft with 2 years eligibility remaining: Anthony Richardson, Trey Lance, Dwayne Haskins, Sam Darnold, Jameis Winston, Johnny Manziel & Michael Vick.
