    • Hi Emma, fool us is mine and my wifes favorite show on Friday nights. I have to work every other Friday so we have the series recording on dvr. We saw your original performance a few weeks back and loved it. We feel you're going to go far. Keep it up sweetie and we hope to see you again in the near future.😊

  • Another performance that clearly demonstrates that winning the trophy is not the main goal of this show. The true purpose is to witness amazing magicians perform even more amazing magic acts. Your stage presence is incredible; you're confident, professional, and it is clear that you love being there and performing magic tricks. You even handled Penn professionally. You didn't let him look around and carelessly touch things at the end. No, you placed the piece of paper in his hand and essentially said, 'Here you go, you can examine this as much as you want. Now, go back to your chair and sit down.' Great job!

    • if you are a cuber you may have realized the color scheme on that cube was not correct... there is something odd about that cube.

      @manusoftar@manusoftar12 күн бұрын
    • @@manusoftar you are dead wrong. the main part of the trick is that she was able to solve the side a normal cube half way while looking at it, and then the rest while looking away and talking to Penn

      @Wright1331@Wright133111 күн бұрын
    • @@manusoftar It was non-standard colours, but I'm 99% sure that I could hand her any one of my 3x3 cubes, and she could do the trick just as well.

      @Autoskip@Autoskip11 күн бұрын
    • @@Wright1331 I know, I was just saying it looked odd to see that color pattern... The trick is no mistery, there are a couple of options for some parts (like, how did she managed to know which color did Penn choose, because it was clearly not a force, she could have done that by memory like knowing the original orientantion of the cube and keeping the order on her head as she turned the cube around or even by having some kind of tactile assitance on the cube itself to help her know which face she was touching) but it pretty straight forward.

      @manusoftar@manusoftar11 күн бұрын
    • @@Autoskip yep, it's not a gimmicked cube, it's just odd that she didn't use a regular color scheme for it... there are many ways in which she may have known which color did Penn choose... she may have memorized the orientation she started from and keep a mind record of how many movements she did on her back until Penn asked her to stop to know exactly on which color she landed, or even have something on the cube, like something she could feel by tact to know which face Penn choose. The rest is just solving the first face but disregarding the other of the cross and corners so it is not that obvious that she, basically solved that face. The block part is a commercial thing that has been used for years (Like, the bowling ball from a paper block, and even David Copperfield has a trick where he draws a landscape and then makes the moon rise on the paper and lastly he rips the page and gives it to the spectator).

      @manusoftar@manusoftar11 күн бұрын
  • I like this trick, but it is sort of awkward to first ask the person to mix the cube up and then take it just to mix it up yourself. Everyone knows you are doing something there even if they may not realize what just yet. When you reveal that the bottom side is all one color, everyone remembers you mixing that up for a good 15-20 moves before placing it in his hands. It's like asking a spectator to shuffle a deck of cards but then take it back and shuffle it again.

    @nordicFries@nordicFries8 күн бұрын
    • ya this really seamed like a simple trick to me. she only rotated the cube in 1 direction when it behind her back. very simple to keep track of what side is facing out. then getting the first layer of a cube is the easiest part, just practice solving that upside down while talking. then the picture she gave him at the end was a pre-drawn similar picture because she closed the book after the trick then opened it again to get the picture.

      @arodg@arodgКүн бұрын
    • Yes the trick wouldnt fool a 12 year old. Somebody needs to break her heart and tell her that her magic trick is for donkeys!

      @JoHn-if6wy@JoHn-if6wyКүн бұрын
    • There are many tricks that ask a spectator to shuffle a deck and then the magician takes it back and manipulates the deck lol. Having the spectator shuffle the cube means she has to either solve a side of the cube from any position during her conversation or swap the cube out for another cube. She chose the former which is actually more impressive then the normal magician route of swapping the cube.

      @taggartaa@taggartaaКүн бұрын
    • @@taggartaa yes but the magician doesn't shuffle the deck after they ask a spectator. They manipulate it without them noticing. There are ways to concele the fact that she is solving the bottom layer without just doing it in front of them.

  • Not only is this a very entertains, engaging and clever trick, but how she hid how she did it from all but the most trained eye is magic in itself. I watched it back and I think I’ve worked it out, but that only makes it that much more impressive - to call this a mere ‘trick’ does not give true justice to what is required to perform it. I therefore know Penn wasn’t lying when he said he and Teller could never learn it. Knowing how it’s done is one thing, but being able to actually do it is a whole other story. Amazing - wishing this clever lady every success.

I do not claim that other magicians use real magic, as there is no such thing as real magic. While I fully understand the steps, I would be incapable of performing them nowhere close to that speed and confidence as I saw in the video (and most likely I would make a mistake somewhere). Many "magic moves" do not require special skills, just practice. But this is not just practice, it is about being a genius. Comparable to top musicians who master their instrument in a way that the vast majority of fairly good players never achieve, even if they practice for decades. Some people have a gift to play the violin like nobody else, some people have other gifts. Some of us, like me, have none. 🙂 But that does not mean we cannot enjoy and appreciate performances by those who have them.

    • @@John_Michael2000 she only rotates the cube in one axis with her hands behind her back, she just has to remember the color and count how many she has turned the cube to know what color was chosen, even if she rotated the cube on the other axis, it would be easy to know what color is where for an experienced cuber. Have in mind there are kids that solve this thing completely blindfolded. As for the color, I think it's invisible ink activated by rubbing the marker over.

  • This was great. I think I know the method (only after thinking about it a while) but it's sick and it only means you're insanely good with the cube, the magic and the performance--and if I am wrong, you're even better. Most magicians impress me but do not amaze me. You did both.
