WARNING: MAN DROWNING AT HAULOVER INLET! | Boats vs Haulover | Wavy Boats
Man gets sucked out into the middle of Haulover Inlet. We waved down some Haulover Boats to rescue him from drowning. Very thankful that the Yamaha crew responded as quickly as they did. Enjoy the video.

About 4 boats passed the man drowning before he finally got help. Would you stop for a man drowning at the inlet? 😳
All is well that ends well....but it's disturbing to read that he was passed by multiple boats....maybe they didn't know he was in distress, but if that's the case, then they're idiots...
I notice the boat that saved him has PA numbers.
I'd stop to help if it was Nancy Pelosi in the water.......well.....
Or maybe they didn't want to at least provide a life jacket, and if that's the case, they're pieces of sh1t...
I would stop no matter who it was or what. I'd save a drowning duck.
I want a relationship as strong as that trolling motor.
Lmmfao!!!
Good luck,!
No kidding that is what I was talking about dam lucky I guess
. haha!
and here mine broke after hitting bottom at 4mph.
When someone raises their hand in the water and they go under. They are drowning. That was an outstanding pickup with a huge ebb (outgoing) tide. Between the prop, the swimmers condition and the tide. If that's a big fishing boat full of outboards without a swim step in sure he drowns. The blue boat crew deserves a lifesaving award.
I thought he was ordering a pizza 🍕
If the transom was loaded up with outboards, you could always gaff him and drag him onboard. ;)
He actually got pulled into the inlet from the beach... the entire video is on another channel. So wouldn't it be a flood/incoming current?
The Yamaha is a twin engine jet boat. No prop on it. Great save for those guys!
@@panicmosem5969 I wear my diving flippers and Bc and mask and snorkel whenever I go to that crazy beach. The undertow is ridiculous there! The beach is beautiful though.
That guy looked like he didn't have more fight in him. Glad that boat was there to help him.
Right ? He was about to go down and no one helped. Just sick.
@@augustreil Boaters were concentrating on avoiding other traffic, not looking for a moron swimming in a navigation channel!
@UCxt_2gFWrfyiAjK1EagHs7A the other traffic have eyes and can stop aswel you mor0n
I say with plenty of experience, it’s a heck of a lot easier to try swimming than to try treading
@@augustreil how are the boats supposed to see him when their bow is going up and down like a fair ground ride and there is so much spray and noise?
Red Topped Legend photo bomb around 4:58 mark…nice to see the Red Topped Legend!
Ah! I had to go back and look - ur right. RTL!! Nice catch!!
2:25. Don’t you all know that’s the new Electric Generation system? The propellor at the front generates the power to run the electric outboard at the rear! Brilliant!
Now that is a great new green deal I could live with.
The Freeman 47 footer @4:54 - yes - what a beast !!
So smooth. I think it has a few more props in the water than the caption states tho. LOL
6:47 mega yachts are nice but this scout is a certified beauty! The color could be lighter but everything else looks perfect!
I immediately thought the same thing when I saw that boat. And I’ve learned more about boats in the past 3 weeks watching these videos then I ever knew before 😂 I think the captain may of been flexing a bit with the spray off the sides but he knew what he was doing!
When I’m exhausted from surfing KZhead. I relax with this show.
The people in the blue vessel that rescued the man in the water: Boaters Of The Year! 🏅
Bad ass trolling motor, And yes, stop immediately for a person in the water
Glad they acted fast and saved that guy.
My Father taught me at a young age that you should always help fellow boaters/swimmers if they're in trouble. Crazy place to stop here for sure, but still. Sad to see atleast 4 vessels pass the man drowning. Glad he got help eventually.
@Austin TA we don’t need laws like that, most people do stop and help. This is a bad example because most of the people in that area are young and stupid.
What video were u watching because I didn’t see any other boats in the video. Where did u see 4 boats go by without helping?
Great opening shot of the Nor-Tech. That boat looked awesome bouncing over the waves.
Lucky that guy was saved. The level of recklessness at this place never ceases to amaze me. No life jacket, people doing highway speeds while people are falling of boats. And even jet skiers messing around in the inlet.
I agree. Recklessness, no life jackets. CRAZY!
The lack of PFD’s astounds me. I get not wearing one in calm water, but they are a necessity here.
looks to me like these floridians arent the smartest ones
yeah will always wear a life jacket after seeing that
And the boat not realizing that the anchor was out of its Place 😂 very sad
Great job, yamaha boaters, someone lives today because of you. The lady on the monarc was busy saving her hat
I don’t care if I can swim like michael Phelps, I always wear my life jacket.
That's what i always try to tell people. The ocean isn't a damn swimming pool! The ocean doesn't care if a person knows how to swim. Always wear that life vest.
Thank you!!
Yea
Yup. Always. People are dumb asf. Ocean is a different breed. Once I went snorkeling in Cancun and the boat tour were giving us life jackets and those long yellow floating strip. All of us got one except one friend. Told him he would be sorry and sure enough not even a few minutes into it he was begging for a yellow floater from us smh idiots man
I'm a Scuba diver and I wear my automatic inflatable vest all the time. In fact I'm ordering new CO2 cartridges right now for it.
He was drowning and you are taking a picture ! :) Such a nice human being :)
I’ve been kayak fishing in Lake Erie (PA) for about 15 years and never wore a jacket until last year I fell out and had to tread in 3 foot waves for about 10 minutes before I finally caught up to my kayak. I wear one now when the water is rough. They finally make some comfortable, non-bulky pfds for fishermen
"Hello, Minn Kota? My trolling is messed up. No. I did not run the outboard with it down. So, do I get another one for free?"
Exactly what I was thinking.
"We watch KZhead. So, that's gonna be a no." 😏
Wow.. 20 years ago I was walking on the beach with my wife in Cancun and saw a guy in the water doing the same thing I jumped in the water and pulled him out and my wife is screaming at me , saved his life and it was all well worth it .
You guys at Wavy Boats are definitely the unsung heros on many occasions! Thank you for what you all do to help the waterways be more watched over. So cool! Cudos to the guys in the boat that responded quickly.
That trolling motor really pulls that boat along well.
That Freeman 47 is a beast!
Those Scouts looked smooth, cut through the water good.
I love photography! When taking photo in public, I always enjoy those moments when a cute girl deadlocks my lens, then gives a quick, cute smile for the camera. You caught that perfectly at 5:25 !!
ngl i want that but of me
Awesome job by those guys in the Yamaha boat. Saved a life for sure.
You see a guy in the water, you immediately throw him something that floats... then begin the extraction
You want me to throw my wife at him?? I know she full of hot air but come on man, she's still my wife. 😂😂
Like an extra pfd! Duh
Mitch Hedberg: "I saw him drowning so I threw him a lime."
@@MrPAULONEAL. I would have been pissed if you threw him the bottle of tequila instead.
This seemed to be a pretty calm day compared to a lot of your videos.
That’s the fastest trolling motor.ever
👍😂
Yep, and it's apparently a puller!
He was about to sink to the bottom. good reaction captain. that went smoother than I thought it would.
Guy with the twin Merc Velocity needs to learn where the trim up buttons are before he stuffs the nose one day.
That poor trolling motor getting water boarded!
It thought it was on a heading to Guantanamo!
Tank for all guys...i love this channel and its monster boat with 3 4 5 6 outboard 🥰🥰🥰🥰bye bye from Italy🇮🇹
That Sea Fox picked the perfect line.
Those Scouts are something else.
Nice save on the swimmer ! You can get in real trouble real fast !
Yeah, swimming in a navigation channel during a rip tide will do that!
Always enjoy watching the boats at Haulover Inlet but was happy to see that someone was able saved the drowning man in the water. God bless that boat and crew. 😊
Nothing like going out to sea to fish by yourself on a million dollar fishing yacht. 😂

@@fxdwings 👍👍👌, I got hooked on these videos a week ago. I'm a super safe boat owner, crew gets a run down before embarking, these people blow me away here. I'd be paranoid af knowing they're on the water.
@@jeremyr7147 right! Wtf! Money can only buy the boat and the slip. The rest is in Gods hands. Apparently 😂
That Freeman 47T looks like a monster, I’ve never seen a boat like that before.
At least the guy with the trolling motor was smart enough to head back in when he saw the conditions, I’ll give him that much.
Love to hear those engines bark!!📣
As a person of modest means, I am amazed at the huge investments made in these boats. So much money.
Got to love those Twin engine yamaha sealed engines, looks like a lake boat but it's a Jet Ski in disguise.
I am glad that someone said the man who was in the water
Hey man love your channel happy Valentine’s Day have a great day
When you use your trolling motor as an electric generator. Lol
Crazy stuff Tony!! Glad he is ok.
Wow! That little velocity must fly!
Twin Mercury Racing 450 had the smoothest cruise I’ve seen on your videos yet. I wonder if that front-end split design helps with the stability, handling and driving dynamics. The design looks as if it allows water to move through the center of the boat and therefore less resistance vs. the water underneath being forced and pushed out to the sides and around it. More of these designs please!
its called a power catamaran
Did it not had 4 engines?
I see midnight express I hit like button
Kudos to the Yamaha crew! Also a 225 paired with a 250, isn’t that a little odd?
Probably just the decals
Kinda liking those scouts more and more. Not too big or small, just perfect to go chill out on the water for the day.
Very Very good video. Sure that man was glad to see you it could have turned bad real fast. You keep us updated on the waterways and now this one gets you a high 10 for sure. Thanks 😎
I don't understand why the majority of these people aren't wearing PFDs while they boat is moving. Especially at the inlet. Seeing kids without them pisses me off.
Cause they are Stupid. I guess it can be considered Culling the Herd
It’s even illegal for kids to not be wearing them while the boat is in motion.
Called Miami brother, regular day at Haulover Inlet. Kids fall off their boats all the time there, the Jet Ski guys are called the guardian angels at that Inlet. I asked a guy once about that and his kids, he said that they floated from Cuba on rafts and they would be fine. Never asked anyone again.
@@jafo4u508 There are a Lot of Stupid/Ignorant People who boat, so never expect Sane Answers to Questions
Because they’re only there to show off. I’d never let my wife hang her ass out there like these women do.
With the number of skippers putting on a show by getting some air I reckon that outboard mechanics must be some of the busiest people in Miami, repairing/replacing lower units.
The racing engines with the CLE and Sportmasters are designed for surfacing. The trim is also ppwer down so the engines dont just flip up.
The Nortech handled his business like a boss
Life vests are a great invention.
I love your videos keep them coming!
When I was a kid I’d jump into the Sebastian inlet and float it out to the ocean and exit on the rocks before I reached the pier. I’d only jump in there now after one of my kids 😉😂
The things we do when we're young, I would jump off the Pier at South Point in Miami all the time in my 20's, now at 50 I look back and think, did I even have a brain.
Who would give this channel a thumbs down..love the channel keep up the good work
The Dakota with the triple Fichts, we won’t ever get to hear a symphony like triple DI two-strokes on the back of a boat ever again it seems.
Fichts, are rarity these days. I had one of those POS 20 years ago, and it had already had Powerhead Replaced under Warranty, and with 40 hrs on it, the New One already had a Scored Cylinder. Glad I got rid of it. I do love 2 Strokes, and the sweet smell of Burnt TCW*, just not the Ficht
@@pjimmbojimmbo1990 can’t deny the fichts aren’t great engines. But boy do they sound good lol, the later BRP fichts like the ones in the video are a bit better. But nothing like today’s reliability
You can still find boat with old Johnsons and Mercury's on them. We've got a 175 Johnson and when it runs it screams.
@@BlackHawkBallistic so do I! I’ve got an old merc 150 2L, I’m saying we won’t find 3 of them on the back of a boat anytime soon.

Mel Bch 🌴 We left beautiful Miami after Andrew. Enjoyed the vlog 👌 🏄
It's called "structural current": a very powerful type of rip current that forms when longshore current collides and wraps around piers, jetties, etc. Also, in that particular location, you also have "channel current" - from the channel itself - to contend with. Bad spot to be, and to try to swim against.
Thanks professor
@@burprobrox9134 You're welcome! ☺

Once that current grabs you, you are in a world of hurt.
Till the undertow gets and pulls you under then you are a goner
Life Jackets should be on no matter what...
Go ahead and wear one all day and see how much fun it is nerd
At 5:03 that Freeman has quad 450s. Just for your info. Love the channel
Man, that poor trolling motor!
I thought it was funny how the boat with the trolling motor extended never pulled it up while they were headed back in like who cares about 400 or 1000 no problem lol.the gut who was rescued was lucky glad he is ok.great videos
I keep watching this Haulover videos and I can't believe how many people do not wear lifejackets. I guess is better to look cool without wearing and rather risk your life. I don't care how good of a swimmer you are.
Impressed that rolling motor didn't snap
First video I've seen where the water was calm
@2:13 that trolling motor is strong
Love these videos
Thnxs for being here Brian! 👍
Seems like the Dakota at 1:05 would only go in circles to port. ;)
Should have stayed there. In Port.
Great camera work at 1:06.
The Dakota looks like an Island Runner
I was going to say the Velocity tore things up, then that catamaran came out after it like a boss.
You should consider getting some clear indicator flags that you can wave to other boats and people. Thank goodness that Yamaha crew saw you waving them towards the person! (Person in water/need rescue, boat capsized, shark)
I am impressed with fishing gear on the jet boat
Lifejackets anyone? Glad he was ok, scary.
Just found your channel… so engaging, I hate you. I’m so sucked in! Glad the guy was saved. The cluelessness of some of these “captains” is something to behold. I don’t own a boat. I was active duty coast guard for 13 years. Did 2 years at Small Boat Station Cape Disappointment in my early years. I’ve seen some crazy 💩. Salmon season was NO JOKE. You could literally walk jetty to jetty with so many boats out. Have you been to the NW at all?
Great job by some good people 😎
Glad to see the guy in the second boat checked back to see if the kids were still onboard. Put some life jackets on those kids Dad.
