  • I have just come across these videos of trains and they are absolutely wonderful. I am fed up of the trash on offer in our world…violence, gratuitous sex, “ Celebs’’…this is good honest stuff.

    • Ooooh yes chief she curtainly got the job done ;-) got hours and hours of footage of her working hard up here not uploaded yet.... we've got Class 20's EE here at the moment but reckon soon enough a 37 will be back again doing the honours and i'll be camped out up Peak Forest

  • That 37 is doing well with that load.a lot of modern locos would struggle to move it.

    • Which ones? A 66 has almost twice the tractive effort; a 70 has even more. Class 68s have a slightly higher tractive effort than a 37. I guess a 67 might struggle but they weren't designed for heavy freight work. Sorry to get in the way of your attempt at a "modern stuff is rubbish" play.

    • @@gavin37688What I mean is that it's not the constant sound we get with our GE's; more like a rev .. rev... rev... sort of sound. I've noticed they also sound similar when they notch up: almost in spurts, which ours (S Africa) don'e seem to do.

    • What a stupid comment, nothing wrong with the camera whatsoever, a class 37 under load on a slippery gradient is bound to slip and thrash and lastly why would DRS see this and sack the driver? Considering it’s on hire to another company to shunt and it’s shunting as per it’s contracted duty I bet they’ve seen it and are impressed an old Loco is putting modern image locos to shame
