I wish they had kept the sewer and boar scenes in, well all of these, but those two especially. It just seems so important to show ellie PTSD due to seeing Joel dying, we only really see it once in the farm with the lamb. And OMG being able to win Ollie is so fricken cute!
The sewer level with that Joel hallucination would have been perfect to keep us motivated and explain why Ellie goes so far torturing Nora

So much overlong stuff with Abby that has nothing to do with anything and they cut THIS? I mean, it's cool that they're showing it here, but this had to be in the game. It even foreshadows her flash of Joel before killing Abby! She has flashbacks of a dead Joel torturing her all throughout the game until she has one of him alive reminding her of forgiveness; it's much more organic, and you understand her grieving process SO much more. It's much more interesting than anything you could have shown to try and endear players to Abby (Unless you'd shown something to remotely convey how she feels after killing Joel, or something in her youth that shows how broken she is.....which they didn't, they just rehashed Joel+Ellie Lite).
Abby is clearly struggling with guilt from killing Joel, she literally attacks Owen when he alludes to it
abby, and the other wlf who were there like owen, mel, and nora definitely feel guilt. they just didn’t show it in a way that was akin to ellie’s trauma because it wasn’t the same situation. i think the indirect characterization of their dialogue and interactions with each other after jackson does a much more realistic job of portraying guilt. i also think the game NEEDS to have experiences that make abby more endearing that are completely separate from joel, ellie, and jackson, not just to show abby moving on from her cycle of revenge, but also to accentuate the parallels between abby and ellie and to try and change the mind of a jaded player who is too cynical towards her for killing a favorite character. the whole game is about abby and ellie being in extremely similar situations and having commonalities and the destructiveness of the cycle of revenge, and that doesn’t really come across if the player never warms up to abby 🤷
The boar part is so fuckin heartbreaking...

it’s a shame the last two levels were cut they would of been interesting to play and also would of helped to show more of ellie’s ptsd throughout the game instead of just at the barn
They should have used the sewer and boar sequence. Abby had the Rat King thing, why did they cut all those cool stuff on the Ellie story?

I’m not even very claustrophobic, but seeing her going those itty bitty spaces got my heart racing. I really wish they would have kept these. The PTSD I feel like could have been shown so much more in the final game.

They should have definitely kept the sewer scene at least, it had great suspense and I loved the feeling of claustrophobia. They needed more moments like that! Still don't understand why they cut it as it was pretty unique and cool. Also every time I was in the water I thought I'd experience water zombies and it never happened which was a missed opportunity...

I wonder why these game developers insist on having motion blur in their games. It was literally the first thing I noticed in this video how grainy the picture is. What is the benefit of this function, other than a terribly noisy picture? Spider-Man 2 had a lot of it too, it looked horrible. I always deactivate this function, because it ruins the quality experience with the graphics.

The graininess is Film Grain. Not motion blur. Both of which you can turn off.

In the introduction to the level Neil says that she is pursuing violence. I think she didn't intend to eat the boar, she just wanted to kill it.
