MalaMala Safari Moments: Episode 201.
Two white rhinoceroses bulls fight in Mlowathi Dam.
An example that yes, dehorning will have its consequences - the one rhino would certainly have died after this altercation had the other had its horn. But, had they not been dehorned, both would probably have been poached already.
From MalaMala Game Reserve to wherever you are in the world, we'll bring you moments from our daily safaris in one of Africa's most iconic private game reserves. This is essentially a continuation of our 'Rangers in Isolation' series which was filmed during the national Lockdown.
So glad they were dehorned because of the poacher thing, but also have to wonder if the fight was prolonged because of that.. but also, two rhinos get to survive the fight because of it, too. If only poachers didn't screw with the natural order of things, Mala Mala wouldn't have to dehorn them and these natural fights could occur as evolution designed them. Fantastic footage. Hopefully, the losing rhino is able to go somewhere else without a dominant male and find a female rhino to help perpetuate this endangered species.
The woman would not shut up, I had to watch the video on mute. I get the excitement of seeing nature raw, up close but damn, just watch and observe for a bit.
Exactly!
They paid a lot of money to be there and you watch it for nothing and this alone does not give you the right to judge someone else's videos, unless you also pay money to see it live then you can just sit there not saying a thing...
@@Ross01 ……There was no one else yapping away during the video but her. I bet those other individuals who payed a lot of money to be there don’t want to hear her talk nonstop.
women shutting their yap 😂❌
My goodness. They are not seeing eye to eye. Guess there will be a couple of nasty headaches. Great video
Thanx for sharing MalaMala .
2:04 the "alright, chill man, chill" moment of a fight
I imagine a triceratops fight would be similar..
do they fight to death? If they still had their horns no doubt one of them would have been dead already during that fight. They just don't give up. impressive animals
Their horns have been removed in the hope they are not poached for it..
Oh my, they are big animals and incredibly powerful. As you say if they both had their horns the outcome could have been way different. Hoping that eventually their problems were solved and both lived to see another day. Thank you MalaMala.
Yip Huge disadvantage to the Loser in particular >> They need their horns for exactly this sort of Normal Rhino Daily Life >> such a shame
@@Mr09260 Always lovely to see you Peter but I have to say if they both had their horns I am assuming the loser would have been gored to death..... I do understand your point of view though.
Great video capture- Thanks for sharing!
Wow! Bet you don't drive up to that scene often. Incredible footage. ❤️
Imagine both still had their horns.
What a rare sighting to witness. Wow so much force behind those horns
well a good thing they were removed in this case !!
🇧🇴 Fans n1 bolivia 💯 puntos amigos son unos tanques esos rinoceronte excelente el video 📹👀👀Saludos cordiales desde Sudamérica Santa Cruz bolivia 🇧🇴 excelente okey 👍 💯 puntos 👀👀👀👍
Imagine the damages if they had those sharp pointed horns
Thank you for saving the lives of these rhinos by cutting off the horns!
Horns have been cut down. They use their horns to stab the underbelly of enemy, so this battle would much more deadly if they were fully intact. Wouldn't go on as long either, as both would be more cautious of receiving fatal injuries.
well now both will die from exhaustion
It they had their horns probably intimidation displays would be as far as they get

Wounds should be much less in the "fatal" category with these stump horns. Problem is when a "dehorned" rhino gets in a fight with non-dehorned one. They actually need their horns unless/until all of them would be dehorned. Question is how many dead due to fighting between horned and dehorned in comparison to how many dead by poaching for the horns.
Good 👍
Some tourists need a mute button.
Brutal fight, imagine they had their horns?
The damage done without their horns is impressive! Imagine it’s to the death? Very likely if they had full horns. Wow. Just brutes!
Great video like 👍 it thank you 👍
Fabulous!
Que hermosos que son los rinocerontes!!!
What a battle.
Maybe there is a way to dehorn whilst leaving some sharpness on the end of the horn.
rhino's are such tanks! sad to see them without the horns..but at least they're alive BUT that's what always bugs me about the jurassic park movies...no triceratops, they used to kill t-rex's, imagine the greatest animal battles to ever take place and those movies refuse to show them..
no elephant to break the fight
Imagine how it would look if they had their full horns!
Cool! Please don't get fighting to them be peace... I love rhino ❤️ Thank for the updates MalaMala
Where are their horns?
the other had a chance to run away
Molwhati?
Why were their horns cut off?
To avoid being killed by poachers
Such a Pity Sabi Sands dehorns their Rhinos. They need theitr horns for being a Rhino. The Price of horn means that Rhinos with Stumps get poached as well..
camera sounds like a machine gun .smh
Why have their horns been removed?
Come on! You know the answer. Why ask a silly question?
Save african animals
rhinos top
And save the nature
imagine them dehorned .the damage they would cause
2 tons one rhino 4 tons two rhinos
I don't think there is any winner. Neither has a horn. By the way, does anyone know why none have horns?
poachers kill them for their ivory horn, its worth lots of money.
@@davidhorton188 But those are alive.
@@unalienputo8589 because vets remove them before the poachers can kill them.
The horn is made of a material similar to keratin, like fingernails. Poachers shoot them dead to get at it and sell it to Asians who use it for 'medicine' the whole face is often sawed off with a chainsaw so as not to miss any, even the nub of a baby rhino is valuable..some species like the Western black are now extinct (2011)
Blood all over😕
🤕
Their horns were cut of because of heartless people....; Human is the biggest disaster of all natures
They could easy kill by breaking ribcage
If they had horns this would be sorted out much quicker without this continued damage!!!
🤕🦏
at least they have water and it is overcast .
For the Lions! For rangers, vets, safari shop owners, and the authorities that regulate Africa's wildlife: Due to the critical conservation situation that lions are in, there should be more forceful actions to avoid problems, and also to fix these problems. "Do not interfere"... Stupidity! If you don't interfere, they will increasingly decrease in the wild. There's no way not to interfere. How can there be any expectation of saving lions from extinction, when when they need it, no one can act because it was not a human cause? It's an absurd ambiguity! There's no way not to interfere! The chain effect is already doing more and more damage. It is necessary to stop these problems. And if the man (who has all the necessary resources) does not interfere, who will? Today is the time! Tomorrow is uncertain. We currently have technology, we know about genetics, reproduction, eating habits of various animals. We have the internet to spread the word and join forces, and volunteers always show up! More and more people are becoming aware of animal life. And what do some people who are closest to you do? Don't interfere... Joke! It's funny that these people make money from safaris, and it's precisely the lions that generate the most profits. And they don't interfere... When the last wild lion disappears, they'll be sorry they didn't interfere sooner. Interfering is HELPING! Does it cost to help? Is it wrong to help? It's primitive, stupid and unbelievable that thought. I hope they don't let the situation get worse so they can take action. If the situation got worse, obviously they would interfere. It would be the existence of the lions at stake. And why not act now, while it's reasonable? Is it necessary to wait for chaos? I hope those people "responsible" for these policies will have access to what I'm writing, and open their minds. Or that someone who knows them take my words to them.
Let's You and Him fight. The oldest game in town. Your looking in a mirror.
They are kissing with brutality🤣
I know that the rhino tusks removed to discourage poaching of them, however, what is the rhinos' protections against other potential predators? Their instincts tell them that they are missing its weapon/defense mechanism. Would a lion now attempt to take on a rhino? A brawl of epic proportions!🦏
