I just love the concept of Death invested in how people live and value the gift of existence. One of the best ideas for a villain I've seen in awhile.
Kinda the same as how Jigsaw in the SAW movies only picks people for his traps and “games” that he thinks don’t value their life or live it right

This concept is what Death has always represented. It goes after those who court death or risk takers. It's there for anyone that "stares death in the face." It "comes for" those who take life for granted. It leaves people alone who don't put themselves in dangerous scenarios.
A few translations: Death: “Corre, corre, gatito.” (Run, run, little cat.” Kitty: “¡Los voy hacer a todos alfombras de baño!” (I’m going to turn you all into bathmats!) Death: “¡¿Por qué diablos fui a jugar con mi comida?!” (Why the hell did I go play with my food?!)
One character I really love in this movie is Perrito. His backstory is so horrible and sad, yet he still has so much optimism, appreciates all the good things in life, and just wants to help people. He's a perfect foil to Puss and Kitty who helps them both overcome their problems. We could all learn a thing or two from Perrito.

I really appreciate that you guys watched the first "Puss in Boots" movie first. Alot of people didn't bother to, which isn't that big of a deal. It's just nice to know someone did at least.

My family and I did together. I had heard about the sequel, and I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t miss any context. If nothing else, I gained extra appreciation for the PussKitty ship.
I watched the first "Puss in Boots" but other than introduction to Kitty it was pretty bad. (better off to try and forget that movie)

fun fact, everyone doesn't get their wishes in the end, because they talked about it and that breaks the rule of wish, but also the map already said your wish is already in front of you all these times
Also did you notice that in the scene where they are all at the star, the magical barrier around it disintegrated the chef and was about to disintegrate Baby but when Death arrived and walked through the barrier, nothing happened to him?
Of course... he's the personification of an unstoppable force of nature, he is literaly a god, he can be postponed and held off, but never defeated
The Star was also floating, yet he walked into as if he was on solid ground...
Let’s not forget that around the edges of the star there’s also a gravitational pull towards the magical barrier that was strong enough to lift a bear off the ground so the fact that even gravity doesn’t effect Death should say something about how truly unstoppable he really is.
I’m pretty sure they were getting pulled out so that they would fall to their death.
Death, portrayed by the Wolf, is not real. The Wolf is the manifestation of Puss's fear of death. That is why he can never escape it and it never leaves till he faces his fear and thus breaks it's hold over him. (obviously since death is an imagination caused by fear it can appear anywhere)
There's a slight audio noise you can hear when the sound goes quiet. I loved this movie. Saw it in theaters. It was a surprise. There's talks of Shrek universe returning because of the success and positive reviews from this movie

All death wanted was for puss to value the one life he has left, because he’s wasted 8 already and believed himself to be immortal. Those who run from death stand still in life. Once puss valued the life he had and didn’t want more lives ,death left him alone because he knew that puss realised he couldn’t beat death and he could only run for so long before he finally caught up to him. Puss accepted death by choosing to value the life he has left. Like the doctor in the beginning said “death comes for us all”

He wasn't trying to make puss better because to death playing with him was fun. When he saw that puss changed he says "why the hell do I keep playing with my food"

Great to see Laura join you in the new studio for the first time. It had been a few week's since Laura & yourself had watched the first movie so it was great to see her back with you for the sequel. What can I say, I've missed seeing you react together as you always give the very best of reactions. You girls are great together. I watched this after I had watched your reaction to the 3rd episode of The Last Of Us. I definitely needed a fun movie and a lot of laughter after watching such an emotional episode of television and your wonderful reaction. Yes, it was incredible. It was more colorful and magical than the first movie. And as you can see, the final scene was "Far Away". and it was in that shrek movie too. So I think they will release shrek 5 instead of puss in boots 3. and they will have combined both movies
I literally dont know why, but i got teary eyed when the movie ended with the camera going up to the stars while they were sitting on the grass. I got teary eyed i think because i waited 11 years for a sequel to a mid movie, and i loved it. Idk why but i just kinda teared up then😂
It's a parallel to the beginning of the movie that also started with the view on the starry sky, I guess it worked subconsciously on you bc it ties the whole thing together. The whole movie is full of all kinds of "comebacks".

Uhmm.... The Wolf is not death. The Wolf is Puss's FEAR of death. Once he realizes he is down to his "last life" he is now scared to die. One reason that no matter where he goes it shows up again is because you can't run from yourself or your own fear. The Wolf, who symbolizes his fear of death, is defeated and goes away once he faces his fear. He knows he will still die one day but is not longer afraid and happy to live his last life. Once that happens his fear no longer has it's power over him.

I will say this (everyone knows this) the reason why death is still going after puss is that with the nine lives puss had, he wasted every single one of them, which really got under the wolfs skin, so when death new puss was on his last life, he wanted to enjoy every minute he would strike fear in puss, and the reason why death is still after him is that he knows that if puss makes that wish he will just go back to being a arrogant little legend who still thinks he is immortal

Heeey ! Glad you already got to watch it and react to it for the channel ! You sisters are lovely together ! About the difference in art styles between the first one and this one, don't forget that there are more than 13 years between the 2 (same as Avatar, actually). So obviously, the teams, the artists, the director, everything changed. Also, another thing that changed inbetween the 2 movies : Spiderman Into the Spiderverse happened ! This movie was a game changer in the animation industry ! It completely rocked the animation industry, which, to this point was dominated by Dreamworks and Pixar, with their very recognizable visual CG style that had been in place for about 2 decades, and Sony completely smashed that with Spiderverse. To the point that in US animation, there is a pre-Spiderverse and a Post-Spiderverse (Arcane being in the post spiderverse era, and also smashing even more the previous limits on CG animation). To the point where Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks were starting to sweat a bit from their butts when Spiderverse came out, raffled all the awards of the year (including the Oscars, which typically are Pixar's private hunting grounds), and immediately felt they had to quickly respond in kind if they didn't want to be left in the dust in this exciting new artistic direction. Pixar's Turning Red, Dreamworks The Bad Guys, and now Puss in Boots the Last Wish ARE the responses of these studios to Spiderverse ! And as an animation film director myself, I can't be more happy to see the whole big league of the animation industry changing course to get into whole new and exciting horizons. Now get out of your sofas and go watch it in THEATERS ! I promise you, even if you've already seen it, it's really a spectacle worthy of the big screen ! Oh, and unrelated, but if you want to watch the BEST movie of 2022, please react to Everything Everywhere All At Once. I promise you, you've never seen a movie like this one ! You're not ready for it, and you're gonna cringe, be WTF'ing thrilled, surprised, laugh, get angry, get philosophical, cry (a lot), laugh your ass off (again) then cry your heart out (again) ! Bring a lot of tissues. This movie is doing exactly what movies are supposed to do : To move people. And it's the one that does it in the most powerful way I've seen a movie do for the past decade !

Hey, Magy and Laura. To be really honest, I had not seen some clips or the trailer of "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish", either. I never watched it. I heard rumors that it was great. But like I said, in case you haven't noticed already, the original "Puss in Boots" movie and its sequel are the spin-off to the Shrek film franchise. They were four movies: "Shrek", "Shrek 2", "Shrek the Third", and "Shrek Forever After: The Final Chapter". So that before Puss in Boots got his own franchise. Unfortunately, you're probably off the mark. Like, I'm in the right path with the Shrek films series, and you're in the wrong path with Puss in Boots. I watched all 4 original films first, and they were really great. I'll be thinking about watching "Puss in Boots" and its sequel very sooner. So next time, if you watch the Shrek trilogy, definitely go check it out. It's okay you accidently watched some movies out of order, like the "X-Men" franchise, and of course, the first two "Puss in Boots" films. Anyway, tell me your thoughts about these movies, what do you think of it, and you recommend me to watch it.
