Now we are at 1,500 subcribers thank you very much! As promisted by your votes i would do another Trains at Speed with this one being part 6. The next subcriber special may be at 2,000 subscribers
Lines:
Great Eastern Mainline (0:15 to 8:49)
West Coast Mainline (8:50 to 18:28)
East Coast Mainline (18:29 to 32:08)
Midland Mainline (32:09 to 33:04)
High Speed One (33:05 to 34:13)
16:54, Lovely shot!! A barrage of trains storming into Kings Langley, LOL!
9:08 - Incredible capture of the Pendolino’s tilting ability
@@sophieloz7662 ?
12:55 The angle of the filming and the speed makes the windows seem stationary! Very cool.
That’s a Frickn thing to say
I saw Huntingdon train station, I am happy. 😁 I don't know why I'm watching these videos, but I find them both interesting and soothing . Keep up the good work! 😊
Very nice video Richard! The one from under the train gave me butterflies 😳 but I thought it was a great perspective!
love these videos just subscribed cant wait to see what other videos come next, thanks for the trains at speed series !!!
Thank you for this marvelous file. I particularly like the 'End to End Trains' effect in some sections where the yellow receding end of the one that's just past blends into the yellow of the oncoming one in the next shot along ..
Best ‘at speed’ video I have seen, especially the Pendolinos and the MML Voyagers!
Lmao 11:18 that pendolino has a moustache!
Omg ye
It was already their
Why did it have a moustache?
It has a face.
Pendolino For life
Who else at 25:46 heard the start of Linkin Park - Numb?? 🤔😁 Love the video keep them coming love the At Speed series
congrats on 1500. i love this video and i am also a trainspotter myself. if you want to see really good LNER and east midlands trains then i recommend going to Marholm in peterborough and grantham train station. there is also a good chance you can see some locomotives and grand central trains too
What a great bit of video 2:49
Only like 2 minutes in and it’s fantastic! Also nice tones
Congrats for 1500! I have a playlist called british trains going fast and i will soon add this video. Vid order goes shortest to longest on the playlist
it's now called just 'trains going fast' as i've added videos from USA, india, france etc. It's still the same trend as it was when i created it
Cpr 1234 What weight are Class 4000 trains .
Superb video. Well done for reaching 1,500 subscribers. :)
excellent video Richard especially seeing the trains whizzing past your camera at very high speed
What a Fantastic Video Here! I really Enjoyed this :)
Great videos of great trains at great speeds in a great country ;)
Great video but the transition between each video is a little too quick for me. I like to see the train coming and going a little more., feels a tad rushed. Just a comment, to each his own. Thanks for all the work you do.
Exactly. Saves me having to write that. There was also an irritating camera wobble with zippy zoom out at the start and wobble and crash-zoom in on the rear of the train after it's passed, that spoiled things a bit too. Just whip-pan the camera at the halfway point of the train passing. That's all that had to be done. Don't crash-zoom all over the place. Let the action do the talking.... At least just now and again.
congrates mate on your 1 500 subscribers
Very² best job,i'm from Malaysia.thanks a lot
Congratulations on 1.5 k well done Richard. I might give you a shoutout on Friday if I have time
southern trains. 377 That would br great! Thank you!
@@RichardChalklin I've done a shout out for you mate
wow!...wasn't expecting under the train :0D
Hate that word!
If you want a good area to see plenty of trains, I recommend Birmingham new street, it is part of several lines including the WCML
I love trains
Waw. All the Trains are very fast.
Nice vid congrats on 1.5k
I love the Virgin Pendolino. In 2001, I was working at Milepost 92 1/2 which (I don't know if it is still active) is a Picture Library and Photography studio near Leicester that worked closely with the rail industry and I played an active part in publicising the Virgin Pendolino, Virgin Voyager and the Virgin Super Voyager by the production of the Virgin Trains 2002 calendar and the press release CDs of the Pendolino and Voyagers that were distributed by Virgin Trains and official ceremonies (usually train naming ceremonies) held at London Euston.
10:36 looks like they saying meow meow😂
I Don’t know what means freak you!
@@finleythecarwashlover5450 i mean the sound of the train
Nice video and congrats man! Also what camera do you use to record your videos?
East Anglian Trainspotting Panasonic HC-VX870
@@RichardChalklin Thanks
I love the fastest train passing station
Wonderful collection.👍
Greetings from Solingen.

like the update thank's very much
Great video Richard.
5⭐ train video 📹 😎👍
I'm really fascinated by the tilting trains. Amtrak (in America) is getting new Alstom trains that will be tilting. I wonder how they're able to tilt like this when the rail cars will be connected via Jacobs Bogies. I should have worked in rail technology instead of information technology lol...
Congrats!
Very good. What Camrea do you use
Panasonic HC-VX870
Well done on hitting 1500 Subs! (See you in under an hour by the way :P)
The pendos tilting really is a sight to behold
Nice catch well done 👍
Call me old fashioned but does anyone else prefer seeing a station name or platform announcement once in a while to know where the hell we are
40 years on and the HSTs are still flying
What a nice Video ! It seems to me , that the british trains riding faster than the german trains .
well done!
WOW!
What about the GWML?
Do any GE-Powered locos exist in the UK?
My brother loves trains
Great video! What's the location at 10:46 btw?
Berkhamsted
what camera are you using?
Panasonic HC-VX870
Sir
If I drive the the UK High Speed Trains, I will put the lock-speed mode down to 135km/h, which is the same speed of MTR ADTRANZ-CAF Train.
like train
Water still leaking in the train? Does it comes on time?
Great video but too quick to cut to the next train. You want to be able to hear the scream of both VP185s as an EMT HST passes, but the editing didn't allow for that. I'd give you 5/5 if you could tell whether you were coming or going. I ended up with near motion sickness!
What is your favourite tube line in London?
Amazing!
Overdose, but great stuff.
Where is location 27.43 Richard Chalklin? In fact where are most of the locations filmed on the east coast mainline in this truly wonderful exciting video?
Location at 27:43 is Newark North Gate Station
@@RichardChalklin thanks very much! Can I get there direct from Durham? Also during the east coast section where is the countryside location?
@@hannahdriver560 Newark is easy to get to direct from Durham yes. Countryside scenery is between Northallerton & York, Doncaster and between Retford & Newark.
@@RichardChalklin thanks so much. How would I get to conington level crossing? Would I need to get a bus from Peterborough?
@@hannahdriver560 Conington is difficult to get to. Off at Peterborough a bus to the village (if there is one) then at least a 20-25 minute walk to the crossing
You need a good tripod! 👍
gass gass gass stap on that gass
Fantastic video as always my dear friend thanks for sharing | Big like
👍👍👍👍👍
What about GWML and their Class 800s?
nice video
Nice video, shame intercity travel is ending on the GEWL, all be those rancid Flirt rubbish.
@The secular humanist Loco hauled trains are not inefficient. An extra coach can be added to cater for higher patronage at a minimum of cost, plus modern locomotives do not have poor acceleration, Class 68 for example, as used on TPE services.
,we are still miles behind other countries
Do you ever get 125’s in the GEMainline or is it just purely electric trains
sadly no, there are regular passenger diesel powered trains on the GEML, there are still loco hauled 90/MK3 sets but that's as close as it gets. Obviously the shed hauled container freights do also use the line
KarlosBricks its still strange for me when i see the 225’s, almost look like foriegn trains to me, i travel the great western mainline so ive never even seen a 225. Love the look of them though. Thanks 👌🏻
@@chrispaw1 I believe many of the class 92 power units, previously operated on the WCML before the Pendolinos and Voyagers, the class 91 DVT units are cascaded from the ECML. In my opinion the 225's were the best thing to come out of the 1980s.
Binary Signals i dont know about the best thing per say, i mean the 80’s was the best decade ever so.....😂😂👌🏻
The GEML is is limited to 100mph
Why doesn’t LNER run more trains to Glasgow?
If that engine at 7:32 is a class 70 if so it’s quite rare with only 36 of them in the country
That seems like a decent number for a single class of freight locomotive.
@@epender 36 class 70 locomotives vs over 1000 class 66 locomotives
Shoot date?
yay my line is first
Hello! I've made a comment!
Parcton I’ve made a reply oWo
Well done you guys. :)
angusgtw thanks!!!1!
This is faster than using the highway
If u look closely at 0:43 u can see that that’s a completely different locomotive, and not another power car
The front one is called a dvt it's not a locomotive the one at the back is a electric locomotive
2:56 sounds a bit like an American train horn
14:15 dat moustache tho
Lmao
I believe the train 🚆 at 0:22 is pulled by an electric ⚡️ locomotive 🚂.
It does have a visible electrical connection
What station is that at 9:05?
Berkhamstead
Where's the GWML?
Hello there Luca...................
Jacob Petrucci What do you want JJ?
Richard Chalklin i want your HEAD
Jacob Petrucci I will disregard that
Richard Chalklin can u sub
Jacob Petrucci U don't have any content
390!
yes
8:50
Those greater Anglia trains didn't look like they were going top speed. Average at least 105-110.
Why didn't we have pendilos on every region?
@@DownTheLineASMR class 390 top speed 162mph tbh that is quick
Wheres the location at 25.43?
Retford Station
25:43
How much did network rail pay you to allow a fast Train pass over you only joking
How did you know that there was a train coming at 13:18 ?
Announcement. ANN probs said this train does not stop here.
Oh yes forgot about that!
If only Amtrak was running at the speed of Virgin Trains or Great Western
Amtrak acela was americas fastest train reaching the same speed as the trains in the uk
@@sebr1733 It reaches 125 mph which is the same as standard UK rail, some trains in the UK near London and the south coast hit 140 mph.
Now go and watch some Shinkansen, Eurostar and tgv
The Abandoned Eurostar @
Luca,I think not your dad's name is Richard.
why is Britain complaining about their trains so much?
Travel to Germany for a day! XD even worse
i think XD
i found the thumbnaiil at time of the video 10:49
