    • For food, try making soups! Personally, I love making minestrone soup since it is super filling and comforting. Finding recipes you enjoy and can fall back on even when you are less motivated to cook is so important. Also try making foods from other cultures. I’m Indian, and I would recommend you making vegetarian biryani!

I know it's hard to overcome depression and all but let's convince ourselves that better is coming, let's accept what we have and move on. Just watching this video is an important hint that me & you guys want to improve. I wish for all of us the best. lots of love

  • The thing with me and the whole working out thing is that I absolutely love exercising because I feel so good after the workout, or even just by walking outside for an hour or two makes me feel so good. But I have a hard time removing the shame that I feel with myself. Like, I don't want to leave my house because I don't want anyone to see me, because I know I am not at my best where I wanna be, and I just feel a lot of shame because of that.

  • One specific point about sleep; some people find it easier to have a short period of sleep at night and make up for it with naps during the day. You might try it, or even have a little more sleep at night and some naps. Other than that, it is oddly comforting to know that our heroes struggle with stuff like this too. Of course, we hope everything works out for you.

  • I completely agree with the point that every single thing you do, vote for the person you like to be. I started exercising regularly from past 2 months now its been my habit. I don't want to miss any day without doing any physical exercise which makes me maintain my streak. Also I started reading books which helped me Learn a lot and that also became a habit in me. Now I read a chapter of a book daily before going to bed. Atomic habits by James Clear is really nice Book.

  • Due to my tendency of indulging in self- criticism, self- loathing, FOMO and self-absorption I fall sometimes into depression and stop to take care of myself. I must point out that these feelings occasionally arise in my head is quite normal. The main thing is not to let al these feelings be sprawled all over my head. I have to admit that I can’t cut back on it all at once, little steps to self- reinvention can go a long way. Your video was a lot liberating to me. Thank you ❤️

  • love this video! Thanks for sharing those "not very perfect" segments. Everyone is struggling on their own and social media always makes ppl feel more pressured to be a better version. I think this video is so much better than sharing a perfect self disciplined routine for example. It pushes me forward in another way. I would say yes, self-loving is a long journey and it is harder in post-covid age with added depression and life difficulties. But to feel ourselves less taken care of is a start, and instead we will start to think what do we really need.

  • This video came at such a timely moment! Just yesterday I made a decision once again to try and work out my bad habits and make definitive changes to make my life better. I constantly feel such a high resistance to get things done and it ends up being a mountain of burden sitting in the back of my mind which i do nothing about until i have a deadline to meet or if i really have no choice. Watching this makes me feel like we are working through the thought process together and it really helps me feel like im not alone in this! Thanks Lana 🥺

I have horrible sleeping habits... go to bed around 4am to 5am and then sleep (or at least I'm in bed) for at least 10+ hours. Sometimes the sun is just rising when I do go to bed. This is partly, I think, to do with medications I take but I know I really need to make a change! Thank you for your videos!!

    • I wish you the best! Let you be you, maybe for 2 weeks don't care about this, and then start slowly and gently to introduce yourself to a new world? With new habits which are fun? That's my way of doing something, always let your feelings in at first, live them to the fullest (for example bad habits) live them. And then after a while, say to your little self, come with me now, we'll change a little bit, cause we are tired of being "lazy" whatever..

  • I had the same problem when I got my puppy and at the beginning, I had to go out with her every 2h. I was exhausted for a few months. But- I promise it will get better! What I did is to put her in a closed box next to my bed and she would just scratch when she wanted out. But that prevented her to wake up and play whenever she wanted. I trained her to know when sleeping time is. Many people think they have to mold around the dog, but it’s their job to do that. I know trained her to eat at 09:00 and go out at 10:30. Of course, I go out with her later in the evening. But what I am saying is that - with a bit of training - it Will get better. I was going insane in the first months, with no one to help me. You can do this! Fred will be the most rewarding thing ever after you get over this phase. Because it is just a phase. Good luck!

  • I found this comforting to hear today. I think it’s also a post Covid vibe that’s going around as I am having similar feelings about life in general right now. I do have to maintain a certain level of self care for my mental health so I be very careful to not let it go too much but I can relate to this... feeling or experience you are having. I clap at my cat if he bothers me in the AM? Cruel to be kind?! Also could you take your dog for long walks too? I have just started yoga up again as it makes me feel so great I never want to avoid it. Running with goals and dips in the sea make up the rest. I hope you come out this blip better ❤️

  • Thank you, Lana! I appreciate this so much. I always give so much love and time to others - but I struggle so much with giving it to myself. Appreciating myself, cooking for myself, working out or even just cleaning my apartment. Every task just seems like a chore to me and I’m like „if only I’m seeing the mess, I can leave it“. So thank you for this :)

    • Is it lack of meaning like boredom or lack of meaning like hopelessness/pointlessness? Being outdoors helps, as does intense exercise. Find a goal which actually had meaning or interesting to you - not necessarily a goal you should have or others want you to have. One just for you. If you have no idea what that might be, you may want to speak to your doctor about possible depression.

  • I definitely relate to the creativity channels opening up for me later at night. I find if I'm "bored" in the evening and I can get myself to sit still and not do my go to of video games or endless KZhead holes -- then I find myself being very creative! If I write something at that time, I tend to be less filtered, more honest, more vulnerable. I made my last two KZhead videos at night surging with creativity. But I have to have enough energy and not be sleepy or tired to be creative at night - which connects back to your point about good sleep habits!

  • I really needed to hear this today. ❤️ps. I also have a 6-month-old puppy and started training leaving him alone. Now he can be by himself for a few hours without any problem, and even bought a cheap security camera thing so I can check up on him when he's alone. It took some practice but so grateful for putting in the work now!
