Lyrics:
All you people can't you see, can'tyou see
How your love's affecting our reality
Every time we're down
You can make it right
And that makes you larger than life
Looking at the crowd
And I see your body sway, c'mon
Wishin' I could thank you in a different way, c'mon
Cuz all of your time spent keeps us alive
After 20 something years I never realized that they wrote this song thanking their fans. That’s so sweet
What This song is 20 years old
@@Skyward_flux3 it’s actually 22 years old I think it was released in 1999
Oh really
t just sang along most of the times..didnt even knew the actual lyrics, so after singing while looking at them, wow for the lyrics though...
There oughta be a WatchMojo list for Top 10 Love Songs That Are Actually About the Fans!
This song gets even more special once you realize it's a love letter to their fans ♡
I wish more artists were this grateful. They put this out when they were sizzling hot!
It is one of the coolest songs ever as such.. for sure. Root of all true success is GRATITUDE & they showed it here

they seem to include one in every album since millennium and larger then life in black and blue its everyone
@@user-cq1ek3px9jsadly that generation was about talent...not saying the artists today aren't talented but let's face it back then everyone was dropping hits an they were all popular witch is why we can remember a song after years of not hearing it.
Amazing vocals, perfect choreography, futuristic setting and a love letter to the fans. Best boy band video ever
The backstreet boys didn't need autotune man their vocals were like velvet with or without the instruments.
It is good choreography.
@@mizzhllywd I agree with you everyone is in tune with each other

37 here and still loving this stuff! Haha
28, and I still remember when this song/album came out when I was in kindergarten and loved the style of the music; never saw the video till now and if I did my little brain would love it with so much love to sci-fi, video games and anime
I'm 36 and I can still remember the choreography!!! BSB FOREVER!!!
Fuckin' hell...I'm a 25 year old dude, born in 1990, I was 9 when this came out, totally remember bugging my parents for this CD and Nsync's NSA, listening to it in my room on my boombox or walkman CD player, reading magazines, playing Pokemon on my Gameboy Color, I cannot absolutely cannot believe this was 15-16 years ago, I cannot comprehend how it has been so many years yet I remember it like it was yesterday, it brings tears to my eyes. No smartphones, no myspace, facebook, youtube, wikipedia, nada. 1997-September 10, 2001 were just amazing years in my life. Everything changed after 9/11, everything, we all had to grow up real damn quick. I lived on a military base in NJ at the time. Just fuck man.
+metal pillow Yep, I was in 4th grade in 1999, and I was one of those dudes who proudly blasted Nsync and Backstreet boys from my walkman or boombox lol. aqgreed, 1997-2001 best years of my life by so fucking so motherfucking far, i would give anhthing to relive that innocence, that excitement, that carefree life..compared to being an adult...which fucking sucks...everything changed after 9/11.
Dude, DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED!!!!!!!! I remember all the girls in my 1st grade class jammin out to two things, for the boys it was BSB/NSync for the girls it was Britney Spears or Spice Girls. Man if you didnt have one of their CDs you werent in considered not one of us. I remember the days of battling my friends with our Pokemon. Christmas morning and I get my first gameboy color (lime green) and Pokemon Yellow version. That started a love affair with pokemon games that continues for me to this day, even though im 23. I was also a huge Digimon fan, so much so that I wore gloves to school like they did on the show, needless to say people thought I was weird but I was so obsessed I didnt care. I was sort of a tomboy back then everything from Power Rangers to pokemon/digimon, Ninja Turtles, Action figures, Star Wars I was into. But I was also a huge fan of girl stuff like sailor moon and the Spice Girls (I made it abundantly clear to my friends that whenever we would role play I was always scary spice). Yea technology sucked back then but it didnt matter you know why? Because between music and television we had more than enough to keep ourselves entertained, my house didnt even have cable and television was stil god back then, thanks mainly in part to Kids WB and ABC One Saturday Morning, Disney was the shit....I mean THE SHIT in the 90, hell even politics were less insane back the (excluding the lewinsky scandal). Now this was just in America obviously Rwandans,Eastern Europeans and the British Royal family dont look back on the 90s with such fondness. Despite that times were still good on this side of the atlantic, hell we even had an economic surplus. But then Bush got elected, 9/11 happened and starting in the late 2000s the quality of music and television just went downhill. See man you almost got me on the verge of tears. I mean dont get me wrong I love the high quality tech we have now but I cant help but feel all this immense progress came at a great cost. It not just our childhood, everyone longs for the days of their youth to a certain extent but it was the world we live in that made our childhood great. The 90s wasnt just the last decade of the 20th century/2nd millenium but it truly was the last GREAT decade. Ok im done
Ahhh born 90 also!! Can't believe we're 25 now! Ya those were days, I listened to bsb nsync Britney every day and avril too!! I think that was the cutoff of good pop music, now it's taken a turn and it's never going back to what it once was. High 5 to the 90s 200s crowd!

Am I the only one who loves that they are *almost* the only musical artists that thank their fans regularly in their music. There's at least three songs I can think of that have to do with thanking their fans for everything.
That is why they will always be immortalized in my heart. 💖
And that's why they are still performing (and complete btw). They are so thankful that they spend time with the fans on their tours, photo opportunities, cruise, and after parties. :)
exactly! which other bands make a song about it? bsb fan for life.

Born in 1986. Kids today will never know this era of music and how special being apart of it was Up until the early 2000s. It was a special time to be growing up. Irreplaceable. To live during this time is an absolute experience. Rushing home from school to watch these videos on TRL when they originally came out. Recording mix tapes directly from the radio (trying not to get the DJ or commercials) and then graduating to mixing CDs. THESE were the golden years. If what I described was your experience you are either close to 40 or older!
Fun and games! Dotcom bubbles, crappy CGI Jabba and Jar Jar Binks in our Star Wars, and of course we can't forget the fun that was 9/11!

His song is a love letter to their fans telling us how a big affect we have on them, it we who make them so popular. How many bands actually do that for their fans.
It's warning u.
You’re reading way too much into a 90s boy band. Go the fuck outside.

Song: Larger than Life Artist: Backstreet Boys Album: Millennium Year: 1999

Fun fact: this video cost the backstreet boys $2 million and is in the top 20 of most expensive music videos in history
Not much of a surprise to be honest, considering they had to buy several dancing AI's, buy at least one spaceship... not to mention the regular staff required for a music video. And this was back in the 1999 mind you.

30 August 2021 Thank you Backstreet Boys for the great energy you put out!
Yep. BSB is known to always put out a fan's song. Brian help co-wrote "Larger than Life". 😍💖 BSB have so many fan's song for example, "Permanent Stain" (co-wrote by Nick), "Feels Like Home" (co-wrote by Howie, Nick, and Kevin), "The One" (co-wrote by Brian), "The Perfect Fan" (aka Mother's day song co-wrote by Brian for his mother and brought in his HS choir into the song), "Soldier" (co-wrote by Howie and Nick), "I Want It That Way" (they didn't wrote it but they brought their fans into their MV), "OK", "Bigger", "In A World Like This", "Everyone", "Shape of My Heart", etc...some songs they didn't wrote it but ignite the idea that they wanted a fan's song for their long time fans. Two songs that all 5 BSB members wrote complete by themselves without help were *"The Answers to Our Lives"* and *"Time"* from their Black and Blue album (2000). I see those two songs as an autobiography songs. Very few of the BSB fan's songs like *"Everyone"* (didn't wrote this song but had two longtime writers who work with BSB since the beginning) show subtle hints they were struggling behind the curtains but thanking their fans....this was amidst ponzi scheme started by their creator/manager taking majority of their money it was in the media/magazine/newspaper for a bit and had great fan supporting them from around the globe...before social media. The internet was starting to become a household thing.

When a dream miss to achieve! All started with space odyssey 2001 I right?, cuz it was 1968!!!
and yet look dated as fuck XD
That happened in the late 90s because of y2k and the turn of the millennium. But we can all agree they look extremely dated now lol
@Mania C lol no tf
Never gets old. And that choreography is still awesome after all these years.
I loved the Halo-like graphics and the choreography. This is the funkiest Backstreet Boys song I’ve heard so far.
Thank absolute 90s radio for still playing this, just heard yesterday
That's awesome...one of the biggest joys of life is discovering great music
It's 2024, who still watching?
Singers today: "Thanks for the love and support it means a lot!" Singers back then: *writes entire song about how they appreciate their fans*
Who did that?
poisenbery I had to listen to this more than 3 times to actually realise and digest the fact that this song was entirely dedicated to their fans
Don't forget their song "The One" too
Before back then: they also played instruments. LOL
true
Feels so pure without butts twerking, drugs or sεxual implications. How AWESOME was our childhood?? Wish music was like this again.
Good music is tough to find on mainstream radio but thank god we have Sirius XM
This was the time of Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, and Christina Aguilera. It wasn't that pure, though it was better than it is now.
Oh I'm definitely comparing based on today's music... :P
You got me wrong I didn't say that there isn't good music today. There is MUCH better music today than in 2000 i agree with you. It's just that the only ones promoted and seen everywhere are not so much the good ones but the rubbish when in 2000s was the opposite :)
Alina Leti lol you really think this era of pop didn't run on sex appeal and innuendo....? nostalgia really does blind people
Feeling grateful knowing that Kevin out there is protecting us 😊
The Backstreet Boys transcend generations, enchanting hearts since forever. Their music is a journey of nostalgia and joy, a soundtrack to our lives. They're not just a boy band; they're a living legend. I want "Larger than Life" on Just Dance so much. 🎶
Damn I miss the 90's...I still love these guys, even though I listen to metal and whatnot nowadays.
i am a metal fan as well, but these guys were good...
The thought that scares me most... Will people look back on 1D one day with the same nostalgia as we do the BSB..... Say it won't be so!
im currently downloading songs like this that i know most people seem to enjoy for something to listen to in the car because most of my friends and all the girls i know cant stand my metal hahaha
same thing here
i feel u bro im also listen metal hardcore but still this ahahha 90`s Boyband great not now 1D -_-
People saying " Turning Red " broght this song back from the dead when in reality it never died. BACKSTREET FOR LIFE !!!!!!
Exactly what I said. I grew up with this song
Yup Backstreet Boys for life
Calm down there bud
This song never really died lol So it didn't bring anything back from the dead It's kind of like if some movie trailer had thriller in it and they said oh well it brought thriller back
I’ll always think of that scene from Napoleon Dynamite (2004).
Who ? 2024 ❤
And forever
Forever ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ 2024 march
AJ owned this song! What a voice and such a distinctive tone, he gave BSB an edgy sound with his voice 🙌.
Dont you love the fact that they are still together...

I remember waiting for a Music Video of this one from MTV for hours.
Undeniable timeless song /music
If KZhead was there back then, this video would have crossed few Billion views.. BSB ruled our hearts!
I still appreciate how much they loved us the fans . They dedicated many songs to us without us realizing 💙
Having BackStreet Boys in my childhood was the best thing that could of happen to me🧡🥲🍯
There producers checked it.
They were so awesome at the concert recently near Seattle. It was my 1st concert. They were super cool and appreciated all of us
