This video covers a summer spent doing wildlife photography in Yellowstone National Park. I lived in Yellowstone for 3 months as a seasonal employee, and I photographed Yellowstone wildlife the whole time. I was in Yellowstone during the historic flooding in June, and in this video I cover the floods and photograph bison, wolves, grizzly bears, elk, pronghorn, and more. I also photograph wildlife in Grand Teton National Park. This video showcases what it’s like to live in Yellowstone photographing wildlife.

Best 28 minutes of my week. Thank you for all your work putting this video together, and all your work filming and photographing and researching this special ecosystem.
It makes me happy to know that you got so much out of this video Randy. Thank you for the constant support my friend. 🙏
This exactly!
I've made several trips to Alaska just for the brown bear photography. It will become addicting as the bear are bigger and of course the country is definitely more isolated. It was rare that we ever encountered people, you'll love it I'm sure, assuming its your first trip.
Yes it will be my first trip! I’m definitely very excited, I’ve heard nothing but great things about the bear photography up there.
As an aspiring macro and nature photographer, I really appreciate your obvious love of your subjects. For many, it’s only about the final image, but the work often seems sterile without true devotion to the subject matter. Thank you for sharing these moments with us-it touched me deeply.
I’m glad you got so much out of this video. Thank you for watching, and for your kind words and support.
it blows my mind that you dont have more followers, this is quality that i expect from channels with millions of followers
Thank you man, I really appreciate that!!
I was in the park and leave right before the park shut down, luckiest week of the year and Yellowstone is a great national park and we should protect it and promote the importance of nature at all cost. Thank you so much for this great video.
Alaska is calling my name. Great work, subscribed.
Thank you! Keep an eye out for the giveaway entry video when I get close to 10K! Maybe you’ll win :)
Jam looks so little when she’s up close! Thank you so much for these videos, I’m watching all of them to try and learn how to know where to find wildlife photo opportunities while being aware and respectful before making my first trip to Yellowstone in September.
I love Raspberry! HopefullyE is will have a cub this spring 😊
Great channel! I miss Yellowstone, earned my subscription
Thank you!
Glad I spent my evening with you. Loved it
love this video, has been a wonderful 30 minutes dreaming of photographing bears while i eat my lunch. Thank you for this!
That bear encounter is awesome. Almost every other clips is like 12 people stopped by the road with long lenses and it just makes the park look so touristy and full of NPCs. Your gut instinct and knowledge was rewarded with a genuine interraction.
What about people wanting to see things they’ve never seen makes them NPCs? I think it makes them human and curious. At least it isn’t a wreck they’re rubber necking at for once. Now that’s NPC behavior 100%. I’m sure the locals get hardened to the beauty of the wildlife but that is truly what an NPC is in my book. A person surrounded by beauty and so crusty they can’t even see it.
@@forester057 No it's really fuckin annoying my man. People getting super close to animals they shouldn't and putting the animals in danger of being shot. We need a better system to deal with people going into national parks. I don't mind if someone gets gored by a bison, I care if the bison gets shot because of it.
@@ploopy8780 goes my dooky. Must be a nice person. Guessing a democrat.
Thank you for sharing. Stay safe and have a great Wintertime 🙋♂
Thank you for watching! I will, and you as well 👍👍
Awesome video Evan. Incredible footage. My wife and I worked in Yellowstone at the Old Faithful Inn back in 2013. We didn't have our own camera equipment yet, but we were able to rent a camera from our college for the summer. Unfortunately it was a big bulky broadcast camera, but a camera none the less. Thanks for sharing, looks like you really made the best of your time in the park.
Thank you! It’s an awesome experience working in the park isn’t it? I bet that was the summer of a lifetime. I’m glad you enjoyed, thanks again for watching!
@@wattswildlifephoto Yes it was definitely was an experience of a lifetime. Enjoy your time at MSU as well! I subbed, looking forward to future videos!
@@thegarveys Thanks so much, I will!
probably 1 of the best vids that popped up on my recommended
Thanks! I really appreciate that and am glad you enjoyed it :)
Wow. I think I know what I want to do in life now. Wildlife photography.
Awesome! Thanks for bringing us along.
Really great Vlog, beautiful video such amazing photos of all the animals. You do such a fantastic job, Thanks for sharing all of this. Have fun, Stay safe🐻🐾❤🙏
This is my dream job I would wake up every day excited about work
I lived and worked in the park the year Raspberry kicked out Snow. That year taught me so much about the park. I only wish I had been more skilled in my photography at the time. Excellent captures and clips, I hope you had an amazing season!
Thank you!! That must’ve been an interesting year to be there! I’ve heard they hazed Snow a lot that year because she wouldn’t say off the roads…
Wildlife and Astro…nothing is better!
I agree!!
Same
What started off as a random video to watch while having my breakfast, turned out to be the best 28 mins of the day, if not week! I was in YS last weekend and I should have watched this video before I went! Thanks for the quality content, man! I’m subscribing to your channel right away😁
Thank you man, I greatly appreciate that!!
Love from Ontario, Canada! This is the best channel we have found on wildlife of Yellowstone National Park or elsewhere. We have watched your few videos on our TV's youtube feature and on that screen, your work comes out loud and clear. My husband is a hiker and he captures wildlife and landscape shots, but your videos are on an entirely different level. YNP is on our bucket list, but logistics are difficult. Keep it up.
Thank you, I greatly appreciate the kind words and am glad you all enjoy the content! Good luck making it out to Yellowstone one day, it is a truly special place, definitely worth the visit! :)
Must have been a great time and one can see that over your wonderful video!
Awesome Video and Narration! Thank you! Yellowstone is my favorite National Park, so this was very enjoyable to watch. Appreciate your effort to put this together and sharing!
Great video. It is nice to see a video by someone who is working in Yellowstone National Park and understands the wildlife.
I just found your channel, and I'm happy I did! My husband and I love the Titons. We've not been able to make it back for several years due to our daughters health, but we're ready to go back. I'm an artist and have wonderful photos of fall wildlife from there, some of which I've painted. I really enjoyed this vid and your love of all things wildlife. How fortunate you are to be able to persue your passion. Love from Oregon!
@15 min the bison running shoot was amazing
Great content as always!
Our last trip to Yellowstone in May 2023 we saw so many bears that in the end we just kept driving if they were too far off the road. It was our best trip ever... other than our winter trip that is.
You have beautiful photos and videos. Thank you so much for your hard work.
Great video. Yellowstone is my favorite place in the world.
Thank you! That’s one thing we definitely have in common :) Yellowstone is unreal.
Just found your channel. You have amazing pictures. Just shared your channel with my 2 adult kids. Thank you so much!
Thanks, I’m glad you like it!!
Nicely done!!
Stunning footage and photos! Just subscribed!
I feel like I’m there with you when I watch your videos. Keep up the amazing work.
That is exactly the feeling I want viewers to have, so that’s great to hear! Thanks!
@@wattswildlifephoto absolutely ! I’m a photographer in the Yosemite area, if you ever come out there let me know and we can hang out :) chuiphoto is my website
There are many wildlife photographers, but few tell it the way you do. Love it.
Thank you, I appreciate that so much. I’m glad you enjoy the videos :)
Nice work!
Stroytelling is amazing! Glad I found this video
Thanks, I really appreciate that!
Wonderful photos!
So cool idea. I’ve been saving for my camera/lens kit and cannot wait to start shooting. Riverton Wyo, local to Jackson/Yellowstone areabb
Amazing place!!
I was there two weeks before the flood and I was lucky to capture quite a bit of wildlife in the park. Tried to the Tetons but was not so lucky. After visiting quite a few parks, Yellowstone is by far the most rich in wildlife and spectacular scenery. Really enjoyed your video!
Beautiful video to the last second 👍👍👍
Man, less than 10k subs? I'm stoked to be here early. You are destined for millions!
I'm subscribed and can't wait to watch more my dude! Keep it up!

Another great video! I’m trying to build my wildlife photography up and do something with it instead of just putting it on a drive. Your videos def help inspire me to keep chasing it!

Moved from Gardiner in May, and still miss it. Thanks for the video!

That Alaska trip sounds like a dream. I have always wanted to go there more than anywhere else on earth. I'm a fairly novice photographer, but photographing national parks has been my favorite.

Interesting season to be out there! Beautiful videography 👏👏👏
It definitely was! Thanks! 🙌
Well rounded documentation of the bears and summer in the park. It was a good season and well captured. Great job Evan, anxious to see the next segment on fall in the park. It was beautiful.
Thank you Rod! Glad you enjoyed. I’ll get that fall stuff out as soon as I can! 👍
First video I’m seeing of yours and I really enjoyed it! Looking forward to seeing your adventure in Alaska (and perhaps joining you😉) Alaska is a bucket list item for me for sure and would be an awesome experience for me as a wildlife artist! Best of luck growing your channel!
Thanks for the support! Maybe you’ll be the lucky winner!
This was National Geographic on a tiny budget. Keep at it man.
Man, thanks so much. These kinds of comments are my favorites :) I definitely will! 💪

We were at the park 3 days before this happened. I'm glad you were able to bring light to such a dark memory. Keep up the great work; your videos are awesome!
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Truly one of the best Yellowstone, and a few other places, video and photography I have seen. You did a very nice job putting this together and the music was perfect. ❤
Thank you!
Excellent work. I love everything about Yellowstone and come up as often as I can from Colorado
Thank you 🙏
Great video Evan! My first time on your channel and was quick to subscribe a few minutes in. Your narrative really adds to the videos. Certainly makes everyone want to visit Yellowstone and the Tetons. Thank you for sharing your excellent work.
Thank you, I really appreciate that! The GYE is definitely an amazing place that everyone should try to come visit someday :)
I love the story telling keep it up! 💪🏻😍
Thanks!
Love this guy
Absolutely beautiful! Some of the very best KZhead has to offer. Thank you for your effort in sharing it with us.
Thanks so much, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Loved this video, brought tons of great memories as I also worked there at the lake area, I miss raspberry and jam, but most importantly, I miss the friendships made along the way and all the great memories made in that park this summer, I’ll forever have a deep appreciation for Yellowstone thank you for making this video.
Thanks man! I’m glad it brought back the memories. I know exactly the feelings you’re talking about, there’s truly nothing quite like working in Yellowstone :) I’ve made some of my very best friends and very best memories these past 2 summers, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
First time seeing your channel, Awesome video.
Thank you! 🙏
Lovely. How much you enjoy nature and Yellowstone really shines through.
I’m glad the passion shows through! 🙂
Amazing results. I have a pretty good idea how much time and effort it takes. Congrats and liked!
great job on the astro shot, especially given that you used that slow ef-s lens on your r5. I love when people use the non-recommended upscale gear and still get great results. well done!
Thank you!
Beautiful video! You showed up in my recommended section and had to watch. I’m more of a videographer rather then photographer but I’m seeing your doing a lot of video out of that long lens. What lens are you using in this video? It’s massive! I would love to invest in one but I know they get pricey. Again, awesome video! Great story telling! I thoroughly enjoyed the adventure with you! I think it’s awesome you get to experience this place on a daily basis
Loved the film/video, very beautiful. Inspiring. Love your relaxed approach. Love your respect for animals and our National Parks. Thank you.
Thanks 🙏 I’m glad you enjoyed.
Great video! Loved every minute of it. Very well done! Thanks for taking me along!!!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
