  • Lisa said it well. Is Hesham just having an off game or does Coll just have that much control..? 🤔 Superman..

  • Hesham's flashiness with the racquet makes for some pretty remarkable shots but more appalling errors. It's amazing he got to number 8 in the world playing like this. He just needs to cut out most of the racquet fanfare and play clean regular shots. A consistent player like Coll knows all he has to do is play tight clean shots and wait for Hesham to tin the ball, which he did over and over again.

  • I'm not sure if Hesh injury stemmed from Coll catching him on the way through to the ball ..not quite sure why Hesh kept feeding Coll mid court forehands...

  • Folks, Coll did not win for that 2 questionable action, or because of the “unsportsmenlike” crowd. He won because is is awesome, and Hesham mentally weak apparently. On this level, the highest level no player can let themselves brought away by their feelings. They are pros.

  • The applause for Paul Coll was undeafening and how come the referee doesn't know about the contact let rule, he needs to do some swot before he refs another match.

  • I swear every year they complain about the surface of these courts. Remember last year when everyone kept slipping over? I'm sure someone injured themselves mid-game at one point and had to retire.

  • Good solid win from Coll, Go Kiwi! but no matter how much you practise routines and shots it is when a player in competition is under pressure that shots must count, I thought Coll could of gone for afew Nicks today instead of playing safe especially in the third as when you get 2 players of equal fitness it is the player who can finish the rally off a loose shot that will win the match, unfortunately nobody here seems to match Colls fitness, but never right off an Egyptian player in Egypt, Hesham wasnt 100% so you cant judge the results properly.

  • Why was the shot at 39:26 a let?

    @gaspardieu558@gaspardieu5582 жыл бұрын
    • Hesham was blocking a potential cross-court drive hence why Coll didn't play the shot. A safety let essentially. That was my interpretation anyway...

  • Coll does not go for the winners. Its all position play and Hesham is played out of position all the time with prescise shots along the wall and in the back corners. Hesham needs his time for his miracle shots be Coll is not giving him any. We ofcourse all love the spontanious way Hesham plays but he needs to be able to adapt to position players like Coll.

  • That 10% difference between HAsham and top 10 is down to his style of shots, over use of boast, funny back wall drops , bad choice of non standard shots are holding him back, needs to standardise on a slightly different game IMHO

  • Egyptian crowd shows us once again why they are so unsportsmanlike. US or English crowd would've given out cheers for great squash regardless where the player was from. Egyptians just sit there and sulk like 4-year olds. The sooner squash moves out of the Egyptian sphere of influence and dominance , the better. Better for the game, better for the players. And this court is a joke at best, outright dangerous at worst.
