  • I went to high school with their guitarist Jinxx (Jeremy Ferguson). He was an acquaintance of mine. We had gym class together and did a lot of talking about music and such. He even had me over to his place for a few lessons back in the day and we talked our love of Metallica and Randy Rhoades, and bands like that, while he talked his love of Glam, and I tried to talk to him about my love of Grunge (to which he just kinda shook his head). He said Glam would make a comeback someday, and... well... he definitely brought back elements, for sure! He was a good dude. Very humble, kinda quiet, until you got to know him, and was already amazing at guitar at 16. I was always kinda shocked we got along with most of our musical tastes not really aligning back in the day. I'm actually kinda shocked they did a Metalcore song, as that's definitely not something I'd expect Jeremy to play, but bands try new things, so good for them! They aren't my cup of tea, but yeah, nice to step outta your wheelhouse and try out something different.

      @Music-wq8jg@Music-wq8jg22 күн бұрын
    • @Music-wq8jg not gonna lie, I haven't fully listened to them because the popular songs they've had played on the radio just weren't my thing, so I kind of thought that was their identity. And most of those were straight forward 80s glam rock inspired metal, which I wasn't a fan of. So, I don't know what they play, really. The songs I heard on the radio back in the 2000s just didn't do it for me, and as soon as I got a way to listen to my iPod, and later, my phone in my car, I haven't listened to the radio since, so it's a band I have never explored.

I have no idea why he's never bothered to do falscord mids/lows because with his low deep voice, they'd sound insane. I grew up listening to bvb when I was 13, jake inspired me to play guitar. now I'm 26 and mostly a vocalist. I basically never listen to bvb anymore, I stopped around 2014 as I went further down the rabbit hole and listen to a lot of modern metalcore, thall, deathcore. but i don't forget where I came from. they're still decent songs. nostalgia hits

  • I like the heavier vibe, and the video was top tier. Playlist for sure. Nik, I appreciate how you can be objective of the music even though you have a positive impression of Andy from your interactions. I’m ecstatic over it, and some are like meh, but that’s what’s great, there’s something for everyone and I for one love this!

  • Black Veil Brides is that band that teens used to make a lot of fun of their fanbase because they looked like girls and all that, but once they grew up they realized how good their music was and still is

    • They're honestly one of the best bands in the scene as far as musicianship goes, especially Jake Pitts. As a guitarist in the scene I can confidently say that dude is a cut above the vast majority of his peers lol. Very very talented guy

    • @tiagosun11 Yeah, back in the early to mid 2010's majority of the reasons behind why most metalhead men and emo teenage boys didn't like them so much always came back down to misogyny and their toxic masculinity. I remember it very vividly. 🥴
