In this woodworking video, I’ll show you how to build a standing desk accessory so you can transform any desk into a standing desk. Inspired by online designs like the Harmoni standing desk DIY version.

  • Fantastic video. I am glad I didn't have to watch someone with an expensive cnc machine do the work. I appreciate the advice for those of us who don't have such machines.

  • If you add a v-groove on the top of the tongue(s) where it meets the back (after it goes through the upright), it will drop the angle as well.

  • Very neat solution to a common problem. I love the simplicity combined with the design aesthetics -- this could easily be an affordable commercial kit product. I also really enjoyed you taking us through the process and the the problem-solving.

  • Oh, I love the efficiency of your space. I don't enough room for my tools, so they're spread out among a storage room, carport, garden shed, and attic. Certainly not conducive to making something like this. Good on you for your most excellent build!

  • Something to look into if you ever do more of these angled type jobs, but if you had a vertical tilting router table then you could set the angle for each slot to be at the angle you needed the shelf to be and gotten a tighter fit... Some lifts offer the option to tilt, just like a table saw. While some tables can be tilted or you could make a jig to set the work piece at the angle...

  • Router feed direction: a good way to remember is grab your hand held router with your right hand, your thumb should point toward the workpiece edge, your pointer finger points the direction to move the router.

  • Shelf Sizes: is the usable size of the shelves 32x14 and 14x14? If so, the blank needs to be bigger to accommodate the tongue, correct ? I think I found the answer based on measuring a laptop and keyboard. sizes in the blog are the overall size and you cut out the tongues
