@@jaylive6157Two kings? Kong bows to nobody not even to Godzilla, as a matter of fact, whereas all the other titans bowed. Neither Ghidorah nor Kong will bow. The 3 of them are all apex titans, neither will bow to the other, kinda like apex predators in the animal kingdom, and humans too. Hence Ghidorah was killed while Kong and Godzilla made a truce neither bows to the other, while Godzilla remains king of the titans, Kong is not subjected to him and in fact Kong is also a king in his own right and rules over hollow earth. Despite being beaten to appease the Godzilla crybaby fans, when Kong does stand a fighting chance against Godzilla and even kill him, especially with that axe, Kong still refused to yield or bow to Godzilla. He's got character and I respect that, just like me. Amen.

The ending is absolutely perfect, Godzilla and Kong just battled the toughest opponent to that point, and instead of trying to tear each other apart, they chose to stand down as a sign of respect. Perfect ending to a great film with a phenomenal final fight.
Looking back to this scene after gxk i can say that mechaG is far more menacing than skar king and shimo combined, and the fight scenes are also far better than gxk

@@eddys9311More menacing than Skar King? Yes, though I do think SK’s energy is vile. For Shimo, she’s not actually evil, so of course Mechagodzilla would feel more menacing. The thing with SK and Shimo is that it was also supposed to have a whole army, but Mothra’s inclusion made it a much easier situation (yet Shimo was still wrecking everybody). This is my favorite fight in the Monsterverse, but the anti-grav battle and also the first showdown between Kong and SK were great.

@@eddys9311 The first showdown wasn’t done yet. They could’ve started round 2, where SK has his whip while Kong lost his axe, but SK chose to quicken it with Shimo. The skullcrawlers aren’t combat threats. Kong is stronger than any his size tier, including the Mega Skullcrawler in GvK. Most titans deal more damage than a monkey, it’s why they use weapons. But even for them, their weapons aren’t as effective as natural weapons, like Godzilla’s tail, bite, claws, spines, breath, and pulses are still more effective than the axe for example.
@eddys9311 the film had some creativity put into it's set pieces and camera work that made the fights feel very impactful compared to the new empire that just looked cheap and unimaginative

If they keep the skull of ghidorah then they’ll probably(?) go the route of mecha king ghidorah in the wingard trilogy (I think it was stated somewhere that the next movie is going to be Godzilla centric)

Spoken like a true fan. Big G has long since been dethroned as my favorite Kaiju in favor of more relatable heroic Kaiju like Kong and Gamera. But I'll be damned if he isn't rounding out my top three. This film, despite the nonsensical plot, got me every time I thought Kong or Godzilla were done.
I’m a big Godzilla fan along with my mom and sister, while my dad is a big Kong fan. We were never a fan of Kong till, Monsterverse made Kong and Godzilla together. And we started liking Kong in Monsterverse movies. Because this Kong is a badass and never gives up like Godzilla is.
Godzilla is OP. He’s not fast or agile, has shorter arms and yet some how Kong is weaker? Kong has the strength the speed the longer arms and legs can jump insane heights basically hands for feet and on top of that has the Ax but no Godzilla’s stronger. They just don’t wanna hurt Godzilla fans feelings but Kong stack for stack should wipe the floor with Godzilla

@@drew90 a lot of it boils down to durability, Godzilla's thick hide makes it far more durable, and due to it's greater weight it has more impact behind it's attacks. Kong is much more fragile, and is much lighter. He has longer arms but due to his lighter weight he has less impact behind his attacks.
Has anyone ever mentioned the fact that even though Ghidorah was controlling Mecha, the fact that Ghidorah was punching Godzilla like a human would due to Mecha's posture and the way he was built, was kind of terrifying, imagine him fighting evolved Gman.

Man looking back at this now Mechagodzilla was menacing asf in this movie taking on both Godzilla and Kong ontop of him MERCILESSLY beating the absolute dog dodo out of Gojira bruh.. This was only a prototype for sure imagine if they took the route and made Mk2 and Mk3 versions for the later films.
Now imagine if Godzilla and Kong hadn't just put each other through the ringer prior to his activation.

It's sort of a tradition for Godzilla getting his ass beat by Mecha just to team up with another to defeat him. If he didnt drill through hollow earth and battle Kong he wouldve defeated Mecha but it wouldve been one of his biggest feats. Wingard confirmed this too. Now in GxK, the newly evolved godzilla wouldve sure whooped Mechagodzilla. Also notice how despite Kong interfering, Mechagodzilla still continues to attack Godzilla no matter what

I like how people cheer at godzilla for saving them but 60% of the city is destroyed and they gotta rebuild it again
the big guy spent the entirety of the last movie warring with the evil space dragon and almost died twice, only for the humans to turn around and use the dragon's skull, effectively reviving him in a robot body that looks just like Goji. If he turns on humanity, you can't really blame him after this stunt.
Why do the graphics in this movie look so much better then they do in GxK??
Well you see GxK had less budget than GvK but more CGI so in order to have that much CGI scenes they had to make it less pretty yk like quantity over quality kind of thing but i honestly felt quite happy with the end result.
Kong’s cgi is really good in GxK and pre-evolved Godzilla’s cgi also looks as good if better in GxK so I don’t know what you’re talking about

I will forever be shocked, thankful, and grateful that as a Godzilla/monster movie superfan since I was 3 years old (1987) that this movie was made AND made exactly as it is! I think it's perfect. I would've liked less of the human story telling, but it's honestly a perfect movie and I'm so thankful to be a Godzilla fan and get to have the Monsterverse in my lifetime. How f-ing great is it for us Godzilla fans right now?!?!? Hope the Monsterverse keeps going cause there's a lot of stories to tell, battles to be fought, and monsters new and classic yet to be seen😁

I think it's kinda cool that the humans can build a machine that can fight and defeat an ancient earth alpha beast, Godzilla, the 'king of the monsters'. Edit: Those saying zilla would've beaten Mecha G, but he was low power or something, just no. Watch it again; Zilla gets his ass handed to him, Mecha G is in control the whole time. Even when Zilla and Kong team up, Mecha G still beats both of them, and it takes getting his circuits reset to buy team Zilla-Kong the time to power up Kongs axe. Don't be a fan boy and accept it, I love Kong and I accept that.

I liked seeing Godzilla win, but I loved watching Kong smash MechaGodzilla. King Kong is a fantastic kaiju!

I was Relishing every moment of this ass whooping, i was soo disappointed when kong came to his rescue. This was the most lopsided humiliation ever in the monster verse, Mecha was fighting like and mma fighter, even full powered Godzilla will get the same whooping, mechas speed and versatility was unmatched.
Mecha G was holding himself pretty well in 2 v 1 until the humans intervene (due to plot reasons ofcourse) short circuited Mecha G's connection to his power source causing lag and creating that opening Kong and Godzilla needed.

A fully powered Godzilla would have been a much tougher fight. I'd give it to both 50/50 in that scenario, depending on various factors.

@@emperordavid2044 Godzilla was exhausted before this fight, and still won the initial clash despite MechaG firing missiles at him during the charge, showing that he is probably stronger OR runs faster OR is heavier, or any combination of the three. And even despite MechaG putting the beatdown on Godzilla for literally the entire fight (multiple energy-charged, rocket-boosted punches to the head, smashing him into buildings, throwing him, dragging him across the floor), Godzilla STILL got back up several times and tried fighting back, despite being noticeably slower than in Round 3 against Kong. He only lost the beam clash because he already drained his atomic breath during the events leading up to the final fight. I don't dispute that MechG is a better CQC fighter with the benefit of his built-in tech, superior size and longer reach, but I'd argue that Godzilla has better durability feats. A fully powered Godzilla would have won that beam clash and damaged MechaG (given that the beam has been shown to melt through miles of rock), possibly putting MechaG in a more vulnerable state. Regardless, because of MechaG's aforementioned advantages, I still think the fight could go either way.

This movie proved why Kong is King. Gman may be more powerful, but kong is the one willing to lay his life down, and make the ultimate sacrifice in the name of others, and for the world. Willing to die even for the dude he was fighting mere moments ago. Truly King Kong.

Godzilla is very good.. But gojira.. it's a different story.
After seeing GxK, its a shame evolved Godzilla didnt get a chance at mechagodzilla. Here he was far too bulky and slow, which ultimately i believe was mechas biggest advantage. I think the increased power, stronger breath beam, and massively increased agilty/speed wouldve destroyed mecha. Maybe a future movie..
