I really needed this as a break from doomscrolling & the current depressing state of the world. Thanks for brightening our day a bit. I especially liked the Everglades being restored to its natural flow, as a Florida resident.

I'm glad that second-hand clothes are starting to go from "poor, ewww" to something which is considered environmentally friendly. Charity shops are such lovely, charming places, and it's no wonder boomers especially love them. There's little quite like a local charity shop :)
Charitry shops is why I managed to cop the entire lord of the rings trilogy for less than £5!!! Makes amazon obsolete.

Charity shops are subject to corruption like everything else under financial capitalism. Important to patronize only those with real non-profit and charitable behaviors. I expect we will eventually see private equity attempt to capture even this.
Yeah, it's so great not being to afford anything to clothe myself(disabled) or my young child now, so glad you're enjoying yourselves and feeling oh-so-good about it. Thanks for nothing.

😊 Thanks for the good news! At 68 I am late to the game, but I joined the National Wildlife Federation this year and became vegan in January 2023. It's a start.
This is all such hopeful and uplifting news. It’s almost hard to imagine a world that prioritizes the planet and indigenous rights over profits. But maybe together we can get there.
This is literally the only news source I watch, really has helped me be more of a nice person and optimist, thank you.

Exactly lets condition our minds differently with the good things that are happening instead of the bad like the Israel and Palestine situation for example and we'll see the world differently which is better for mental health.
Bro PAKISTAN is also growing mangrove forests which sunk alot of CO2. The mangrove forest remove 4 times more CO2 than a biodiverse forest same size of the mangrove forest

I constantly worry what we're doing to this planet, but hearing there is slow change really means a lot, I hope we do reach the goals by 2030.
A butterfly followed me for a whole block today during my walk and sat on a flower next to the bench I chose to sit on. There was a teenager who was at another bench who saw the butterfly flying and land next to me. It brought smiles all around. I did also stop to smell the roses today.

FYI, this video popped up for me today courtesy of the algorithm. I clicked on it because of the title, thinking it would contain stories across a range of topics (e.g. medical breakthroughs, survival stories etc). I was not disappointed at all that it's all about environmental issues. I liked and subscribed, then watched your March video. I notice your views from Feb to March went from 17k to 47k! Good luck to you, I hope your channel gets to a million subscribers and upwards. 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋p.s, the audio in your March video was much better.

Animals are individuals, have thoughts, cognition, and deserve rights! A group of biologists has also recently released a statement that research confirms vertebrates, reptiles, fish and even insects have a self-concept. Especially birds!

I think instead of starting with a bouquet of roses and throwing them away from each story, you should receive a rose for each story and end with a beautiful bouquet!
That's exactly what I was looking for today. I'm astonished that there isn't a channel for uplifting news like that. Congratulations. I would also like to suggest offering flowers to people who might seem gloomy on the streets next time. Thank you for giving us some good news to start the day.
I like the video. Definitely a great idea. If I could give my opinion, I’d suggest you do the flower thing in reverse. Rather than throwing a flower for every good news, you collect one for each good news so that you end the video with a beautiful bouquets.
I went to highschool in Florida and took a class on Florida History (from Spanish conquest on). One of the things we learned about was the devastating effect that blocking the lake had on the everglades. There are/were big sugarcane plantations that used that water and farmland, and naturally they have lots of money to lobby. It is very good news to hear that the project is going forward, and that positive change is happening.

I really enjoy these monthly good news alerts. The regular news programs are very good at reporting “bad” news. I wish they would make an effort to bring some “good” news also!

Wanted to come back on here and say thank you Sam for these roundups. I love to see that there are people in our world who want to make it a better place. It is sad though, that fear provoking news stories get more attention than the good ones. I can't do much right now to help make my world a more positive place, but this encourages me and gives me ideas for how to help when I'm able to.
