I have always seen my family and Laotian people cut pineapples in the same way. This method gives the pineapple a nice shape and reduces the waste of its flesh.

Love the goal of minimal waste. Watched another cutting tutorial and my jaws dropped at the casual tossing of so much good stuff. Yours is the more respectful way of treating the fruit. Thank you for sharing! And what cleaver presentation at the end!
This is CORRECT way actually. All southeast asians cut their pineapple this way.....
island ppl know best
Us Jamaican islanders cut it similar but instead of cutting the middle we leave it on

Same here😊
@@JHEANMSWIFT I'll try this way.
I tried this method and I quit halfway thru cuz my mouth was watering so I just ate it.
Haha. I love you pete J
Disgusting fruit
@@Solbashio your mom is disgusting
Pete J 😆
LOL. I want to try this too, but I doubt I have the patience or will-power to keep from gobbling it down in the process.
Stuck at home without a pineapple but still watch this anyway.
Hahahaha
Go to the 99 cent only store and by pineapples.
Excellent Video! Sorry for chiming in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you ever tried - Dinanlinson Crazy Tactic Approach (search on google)? It is a smashing one of a kind product for discovering how to use short burst interval training to get that beach body without the headache. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my work buddy after many years got amazing success with it.
Great Video clip! Sorry for the intrusion, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Dinanlinson Building Athlete Approach (do a search on google)? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for getting fit by mastering short burst interval training without the hard work. HiImErebos lmaoooooooo me too

That pineapple is not yet ripe, i can feel the tingling sourness and bitterness in my tastebuds
i... think i just want ice cream
Just finished cutting a pineapple this way. It takes longer than just making straight cuts, but the process was so... so... ZEN.
Meanwhile I'm like "ain't nobody got time for that" hahahahahaha
@@fsfan2019andwhatnot The amount of waste also looks about the same to be honest. It looks very nice however and it has some merit based on that.
I do the pull apart method and it is therapeutic! 🌸🤗
@@kmfdmman Same amount of waste compared to what?
FSFan2019 underrated reply!! 😂
Wow! I was always disappointed with how much pineapple was left in the serving bowl after I cut up a fresh pineapple. Not today! I followed Morgane's instructions and, by not wasting any good flesh, I ended up with a bowl of beautiful pineapple chunks. Thank you, Morgane! I'll always cut a pineapple following your method from now on.
Thank you. This video was suggested last week and I skipped it because I could not afford a pineapple. Today is my granddaughter's 10th birthday and she LOVES fruit. A friend gifted me a pineapple yesterday and as I am cutting fruit for her party I remembered seeing your video, little waste and so pretty. I'm about to tackle this big pineapple for the party. Again, thank you!
The pineapple was a hit! My granddaughter loved it. Mine wasn't quite as perfect as yours but I was happy with my first effort. And the girl thought it was gorgeous.
@@castironskilletgranny Glad to hear it worked nicely! I was able to afford a pineapple recently so I'll try cutting one for the first time today, Have you been able to afford a pineapple since last year or still saving up for the next one?
I don't know where you live, but pineapples are on sale in my local chain grocery for $.86 /each. A real bargain for such an amazing amount of fruit. Had to buy two. Wish I could eat and save more!
@@TigerTitan wow! That is awesome!
@@TigerTitan I'm in the DC area and pineapples are $2.50 when on sale, but that is still a bargain for so much fruit!
I first saw this method when stationed in Thailand in 1970. We still cut our pineapples this way every time.
Tell us about the ladyboys. Fascinating creatures. I don't find them attractive, it's just confusing.
My husband's Lolo cuts it this way, but I've never paid close attention to the technique. He is from the Philippines. Traditional and practically no waste. Perfect!
Her voice really reflects the passion needed in order to do the best pineapple cuts.
Taking a perfect pineapple and transforming it into an edible work of art! That is absolutely beautiful!
What is with the haters? If you dont like it, move on, the world is ugly enough without any more negative comments. This is a traditional way of cutting and serving pineapple in Thailand, Laos, and perhaps some other Asian countries too. So respect a culture, perhaps learn a technique too. We buy these beautifully sliced pineapples on the street, for little money, and it is a real pleasure to eat such a work of art. Great video!!!
Thank you Eugene for your message which makes me very happy.
Yeah.Well said. I was wondering how someone can give a "thumbs down" to a video like this.

This was the best instructions of all the videos I watched. This gal knows what she is doing and has by far the less waste. Thank goodness for KZhead! Thank you, Aloha Bekah!
FINALLY, this is how you cut pineapple, people. As a fellow Southeast Asian, I'm PROUD of you🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌. ALL Southeast Asians cut pineapple this way. TIL, a lot of you on the comment section never cut the pineapple this way😭😭😭. Well, people, this is how we do it in Asia. I'm glad people found it...
That is fabulous! I realise now how much pineapple I’ve been wasting. And your method is so decorative. Thank you.
Watching you handle and prepare that lovely pineapple was a joy! I have always disliked not knowing how to use all of the pineapple and wasting so much of it, when I cut it up. Now I will never have to do that again. Thank you so very much for teaching me how to use all of the useable parts of this wonderful fruit! Please keep your knowledge coming!
Works very well, thank you! I just cut a pineapple. Takes longer than I've done in the past, but was quite fun, and saves more pineapple meat!
What a delightful way of cutting a pineapple. Thanks for sharing your very creative video. I can’t wait to try it out 👌🏿
Thank you, this brings back memories of street vendors in SE Asia- the sweet part of the pineapple is not wasted and it looks very attractive.
Really the best method I have seen with minimal waste. Thank you.
I loved how thorough and in depth you got. Although mine didn’t come out nearly as good as yours I still did ok and was able to waste the least amount of pineapple thanks to you!
This is an art. I never watched my dad do it but always wondered how the pineapple pieces look so big. This is the video, that explains it his craft! Lol minus the skewers.
I buy a fresh pineapple every week, makes a great afternoon snack. I really like your method and I'll use it on my next pineapple. I simply love how you finish your video with snow falling in the background😀
Wow! Thank you Thank you! Thank you! That's so decorative with geometry and with its golden color.
Finally a woman of culture who knows how to properly peel and cut a pineapple without any waste
Your demonstration is the BEST I've seen on cutting up pineapple. You explained everything beautifully. Thank you!
Absolutely stunning. Thank you for demonstrating your love of not only this scrumptious fruit but also your love of hospitality.
They say you learn something new every day. I must try to cut this way. Thank you for sharing this video ❤️💯🙌🏽
Yeah it will take only 20 mins people are over acting lol
Excellent tutorial. I just bought a pineapple and had no idea how to proceed. Just what I was looking for!
Thanks for showing the spiral of the pineapple eyes !! Loved the way you cut with so much love.
My husband is from Ecuador, grew up growing pineapples. Just showed him how to cut a pineapple! Thank you for your art!
Perfect!!!!! Amazingly done. Exceptional technique. Marvelously executed. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video!!! Job well done. As always.
Ahh, I had always wondered how they got that spiral shape when I bought them at the Vietnamese fruit and vegetable store! I had stopped buying whole pineapples because half of it always ended up in the trash from peeling it, so thank you!
Love this video. It was so calming to watch this video thereby putting me in the perfect mood and mindset to cut into my own pineapple. I did it. It took more time for me to peel the pineapple, but it was a cleaner cut than times before, where I didn't bother to cut the hard brown eyes out. Thank you for explaining the method.
Just 'carved' me a pineapple the Morgane way! Did it out on the deck while grilling chicken. Gave me something to do while waiting to flip. Both jobs done at the same time:No pb - looks great! Many thanks
I would have grilled some of the pineapple to to with the chicken! Grilled pineapple and grilled onion are so underrated lol!
That is so awesome thank you so much for sharing. I can't wait to do this at a family party.
Best video I've seen. No waste! Thank you
This is the BEST way I've seen, well done and THANK YOU!
This is the most creative and efficient way to peel a pineapple I have seen on KZhead.👍
Great method. I'n gonna do it now...THANKS!!!!
Thank you, i have been wanting to see the proper way to cut a pineapple.
That is absolutely fantastic I will do this to every pineapple that I buy you made it so easy to follow and less waste as I’ve seen on other videos I’m so glad I came across this one thanks again!!!!!!
I love it - fresh pineapple in the snow! Well done, thank you.
You are very kind to show us how it's done. Thank you Morgane!
I'm about to clean my pineapple now. Thanks for sharing. I usually waste to.much! Now I can make my pineapple jam and some pineapple curd ❤️ thank you 🌟
As above, don't throw away the core....very nutritious.
Thank you Morgane for this technique on the pineapple. I will use it today. Peace to you young lady from Cambodia.
Oh this is brilliant, it has always felt like I wasted a lot of good pineapple the way I used to cut it. Thank you for this demonstration!
Thank you for such a helpful video you just saved me lots of time, and more importantly lots of pineapple, because I eat them almost every week. I was wondering if there was a better way to cut them without so much waste and now I know, can't wait to give it try.
That is so cool! So intricate and pretty. Goodness! Beautiful!
Thank you. It’s the best way to cut the pineapple. I did similar technique but missed the diagonal cuts. It’s perfect. I very like it. It will save me a lot of time on the next pineapple cuts. Thank you very much!!!
How very clever. Thank you for demonstrating how to cut a beautiful pineapple. I have one ready to cut. THUMBS UP!!!!
Does look like more work than usual, but in the end you have a nicely displayed pineapple and have minimized waste.

Yes, more work and time. But for us in Southeast Asia, it doesn't takes that much time....just probably 10mins tops
Lovely! Thank you for posting.
Thank you. This is how mom and aunts cut pineapple when we were young. Happy I was able to cut it this way, too! ❤
I did this! It didn't take as long as I thought it would and it was really worth it.
Looks great & well explained! Thank you for sharing.
Your video is the very best method i've seen! Thank You!

But with minimal waste I think it’s worth it
That was Amazing! Like that snow at the end
Thank you for this well-explained tutorial on cutting and serving a pineapple in the traditional, Southeast Asian manner. For those thinking of attempting this technique, please be aware of the need to use a super-sharp knife. Anything less and you will make a mess of the pineapple. Cheers!
I never bought a pineapple and yesterday I came with one home,, I was stuck there looking at it and thinking how to cut it hhhh and i had no internet hhhhhh so I just went with it and cut it the way my brain told me hhhhh I loved the experience I felt like one of the oldest humans who just deal with things arbitrary without experience . I even ate the core hhhhh what a beautiful experiment 😍😍😍😍
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I learned something new today.
excellent, thank you - I'm going to try this in a few minutes
Excellent demo! Best I've seen so far that combines minimal waste with aesthetics. I had already cut off the outer layer of skin and was about to start removing the eyes. Then I decided to stop and check out a KZhead video for tips. Jackpot !! 💰💰
Thank you !
Thank you so much for showing us the sustainable way to cut this magnificent fruit! ❤😊
Boy: Mom, how long will it take to cut this pineapple !!! Mom: Hardly 3 hours !!!

the best till now i have seen as there is min wastage -- other cuts may be quicker but lot of waste.
Thanks to this video, my 11 year old, cut her first pineapple by herself. Thank you.
This is amazing Easter is Sunday and I have to go to my brother in laws house and they said bring fruit tray,I'm going to make this the centerpiece!! Thanks for the tutorial it's amazing!!!!!
Even though you have a perfect pronunciation, you also have the most charming accent I've even heard.
Ha! I had never noticed the spirals. Great idea, thanks a bunch. Merci beaucoup.
Thank you for sharing. I now learn how to cut pineapple the correct way with least waste. 👍🏻👍🏻
Very skilled and thoughtful--no waste! Thanks for the lesson.
This is how I cut pineapples since Childhood, live in Philippines btw
Great idea for removing the pineapple eyes!
This is how I was taught to do a pineapple, for me this is the professional way to dress out the fruit...I save the top's to grow my own garden of pineapples, awesome taste,,thank you Miss Morgane
Looks absolutely neat and amazing. First time seeing a pineapple 🍍 cut so beautiful. Hadn’t noticed the arrangements of the eyes all my life. Shows we don’t pay attention to the details in nature. Thank you for sharing. This is my only way of cutting pineapples now
It's true that nature offers us beautiful things!
Lol. How many of you have no remote relationship with pineapple and absolutely wondering how you came here?
LMAO!!!!!😭😭😭😭 Soooooo true!!!!!
I usually get the cans lol

Meanwhile, Obsolete Oddity's videos are NOT pushed forward by any algorithm, and his channel has been demonetized. This is a neat video, but I was wondering the same thing you were wondering.
@@megaswenson funny are the suggestions. And we do spend time on that. Especially when we got commitments like assignments and exams.
I eat pineapple at least twice a month. Thanks I love this.
WONDERFUL!!! Thank you for sharing. We love your voice.
the way you cut the eyes out makes so much sense to me. i do that with tomato cores and also with the pineapple core, actually. so now i'll just add that into my method. i love the skewers idea, it makes for 4 easy servings and you can cover it in cinnamon for a tasty snack. thank you!
That is how my mum taught me how to peel and cut a pineapple.. since I was a little girl..

Who gives a fuck what you believe?
I work part time in a catering shop. The next pineapple will be cut as you demonstrated.
This is the best method I've found for cutting pineapple. I'm trying this today.
WHAT A LOVELY PRESENTATION...AND BEAUTIFUL WAY TO SKIN, CUT, AND PRESENT THIS EXOTIC FRUIT THAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN, A DIFFICULT TASK. ......THANK YOU.
Excellent. I just tried this for myself. It helps prevent waste for sure. It gave me anxiety though because it took forever and I just wanted to eat the pineapple lol. Also the thumbnail is slightly clickbait because I thought the lady was going to show how she cut the core like that but it seems in this case the core/hard parts were only removed AFTER it was sliced into quartets.. otherwise excellent tutorial
Why would it matter if the core is removed before or after cutting it apart? You'll have to do that anyway ...unless you want bite chunks off the whole thing.
Thank you very much for this tutorial. I finally peeled my first pineapple ever. I am from Mauritius, still living there and I have always eaten pineapples peeled the diagonal way but the merchants were always too fast for me to grasp what they were doing. So once again thank you.
I love it! Some people don't care what they waste but I'm going to try
Wonderful, Thank you for sharing. What a great way of using all the fruit without waste.... Greetings from Northern Michigan, USA.
It's a nice way to cut up a pineapple and be able to use it as a display piece. The people who post just to dump on her--why?
Jealousy. Of her style, accent, and grace. And great taste in music. Jealousy.
I don't even have a pineapple now.. I will get one and try this lol
Yup I Too
Ahhh DAMN lady! You're the Boss! It's a bit of labor but like you said, almost no fruit wasted. Makes a lovely presentation too! Thank you for sharing a great skill!
Your video was very explanatory. I wouldn't have likely noticed that the eyes only spiral one way if you hadn't pointed it out. Thank you for taking the time to share this with us.
