Rip rsham. Long live preservation Evoker !
Just a small note regarding Statis. If it times out for whatever reason, it also casts the spells stored so nothing is lost per se if you delay it.
did not know this, thx
Thanks!
Oh I actually didn' know this and always forced my Stasis, cheers!
So better fae transfusion. Love it!
You can also prep Stasis. So you can cast it and use your damage abilities and then go into healing. So that way you don't panic, if you use it accidentally.
This was so helpful and clear! Would love to see other guides on the other healers. I especially found the square boxes on the talents very readable and understandable.
I love the new style effects added to your videos... Super slick! Thanks for the advice 🙏
For Bursting weeks, if your group is doing a large pull then you can stasis Dispels ahead of time (if there's nothing to dispel then it won't go on cooldown, but still will be saved in stasis). Then when you're at high stacks you can release the 3 dispels and cast a 4th manually. This works almost as well as a Priest's Mass Dispel. Deep Breath/Dream Flight also has the potential to avoid certain boss mechanics as you can't be affected by crowd control during the flight, though it doesn't look like it will be relevant in Season 1 of Dragonflight M+.
Every time I do that, I really think I’m so good at this game.
Its almost always just better to stasis dream breath and spiritbloom. Its a cool tech that you can stasis dispels, but its just a waste of a MASSIVE healing cd.
@@paxtonjolly7975 Well, in either of these two cases you’re committing stasis to respond to high bursting stacks. You can store healing spells to heal as the damage is going out or store dispels to prevent a larger portion of the damage instead. And of course you could mix dispels and heals depending on others’ personals. Stasis is a very flexible and powerful spell,
I feel like this will likely be fixed in the near future. Definitely not intended.
@@xvx4848 mass dispel is still better, so hopefully they keep this as-is.
Thanks for the tips, definitely helped me step my heals up a bit. Wasn't doing too bad before, but doing even better now!
Excellent video as always, Growl. Thank you good sir, and good luck in DF!
Very informative and pertinent info. Thanks for putting this together for us.
Excellent guide! Great video quality too, nice work!
The Stasis portion really helped me. I've had a really hard time making good use of it (even spec'd out of it to just get something else I use more). Feeling a little better with it now.
Nice production value with the headings. You’re always helpful with your info. Detailed enough without being too meta
Thank you thank you for all the help… epic, helpful video 🙌🏼💪
I almost entirely agree with your talent build info, although as I move over +20s on fortified week, I find myself totally in love with ouroboros. Saving echo a little bit, and yeeting out Emerald Blossoms on the tank every now and then. Then as the need a little top up, I just echo into reversion and keep DPSing. Its also come in handy for spot healing on DPS targetted by a non-interruptible or so, as the initial echo heal goes big.
Thank you brotha for a very nice guide. I have played holy pala and resto druid in the past but wanted to try something new in DF. Keep up the good work! You definitely got a sub from me!
Great Content creator went from meh healer that might time a 15 in bfa to KSM all 4 seasons in SL. You really teach the importance of constantly rotating cds and not holding onto them.
this is such a helpful video! was a little overwhelmed trying to get the best info for what buttons to press and when lol this made it seem so simple! appreciate the effort that went into this as well. highfive!
Great guide mate, the graphics when speaking about talents is a good idea!
This is a fantastic guide. Short and to the point with a lot of depth! Please do other healers like this - specifically, Resto Sham and Disc Priest.
well.. its not... you have 0 clue.

Thanks for the guide Growl, as always, a point :)
Totally subscribed! Tyvm for such video and infromation. i Find it very clear
you already hit 100k but i subscribed anyway. thanks for the content!
You don't have to press stasis if you just want to let it ride. Even if you don't press it, it will go off at the end of the duration.
Great guide, will be giving evoker a go in DF S1
Great stuff mate! Cheers!
ty growl helped me patch up my VE usage helped a ton
Few things I do differently, but thanks so much for the guide, its very interesting to see different playstyles! With talent Life-Giver's Flame i always use fire breath at rank 1 so i get a long dot = long HOT, typically if im fire breathing noone needs a big up front heal. I personally take empath, time lord and renewing breath because my rotation would be VE > SpiritBloom (this procs 100% essence regen) > echo entire party > dream breath rank 1. This will double hot everyone hit, one at 100% and one at 105% effectiveness. Now that spirit bloom and dream breath are on cd but i have firebreath + double hot dream breath up, i fill with reversion, temporal anomoly with the talent to shield 4th player, and living flames. The living flames can also proc essence burst which sets up my next combo even better. This has worked really well when i know heavy aoe is coming. The double hot is massive and then extra reversions + anamoly shield just make it even better. Spark of insight + Punctuality has been great when taking temporal anamoly because i can double reversion + anamoly and thats 3/4 bronze spells to proc essence burst. I'll typically get the essence burst everytime i empower a spell which makes the 5 echo spread even more doable. Renewing blaze has also been an amazing personal during heavy aoe moments. I proc it before it starts aoeing, then itll start healing me for 100% of dmg i took after 8s. I can then mostly ignore myself and heal others.
Greetings Grom, this is friend! Great vid as always, I'm hoping to see more Preservation content coming up!
you're doing gods work brother
Awesome video as always! Looking forward to dragon flight, I’m switching to dps but I might have to make an evoker for healing m+
thank you for the great video, I learned a lot
Yessss! Finally growl! He has delivered!
Looks like you hit that 100k followers grats!
homie you got my sub @ the 2 min mark when you woke me on level 1 dream breath for that hot - respect .. i have owned wow all of 5 days lol
Thanks for the guide.
Thanks, great guide!
congrats on the 100K
I personally love temporal anomaly because the absorb value is kinda huge and the echoes are a great safety blanket, proccing golden hour constantly to deal with any unexpected burst damage. I haven't tested this interaction, so take it with a grain of salt, but i think golden hour is a proc independent of the value of reversion, which means that the reduced echoes still proc it at full effectiveness and i found golden hour regularly taking #2 on my healing breakdown, after Temporal Anomaly, mostly from the great tank healing from the 30% recent damage taken instant heal on demand. While the main drawback from Temporal Anomaly is the mana cost, it allows me to play a much more "essence free" playstyle which in turn with energy loop it allows me to recoup mana with disintegrate while giving me great single target dps. Temporal Anomaly doubles as a maintenance shield and just a ball of sheer throughput during moments of sustained damage, a great spell to add on to my stasis. I have not really experimented much yet with trying to abuse lifebind with echoes, and i need to investigate how that works with the reduced echoes from Anomaly, but sounds like a very interesting way to potentially turn anomaly -> verdant embrace -> emerald communion into a strong aoe combo. I don't have beta so i only played evoker on retail but it's so much fun to try to figure out all the ways you can play it and looking forward to grabbing some extra damage nodes in the base tree once we hit 70 cause i've kinda been needing the extra defensives from the bottom right so far haha
I've never healed before, I've been a tank first and dps for best part of my wow life since TBC. This expansion I've been playing an Evoker as my main DPS. I've found getting into +10 and above keys almost impossible as DPS. So I have been forcing myself to learn to heal to help my guilds raid group with utility flex and mainly to become more attractive for groups looking to do high keys. This video has been so helpful, I imported your VuhDO profile but that addon is SO complicated I don't know what half of it even does! Really like your informative style to the video, would love to see some more in-depth information on how you use VuhDO etc..
I just want to highlight that Emerald Communion is incredibly strong when combined with Lifebind! with around 25% haste you can get 6 ticks of it, which is 42k of my total 70k hp without rush of vitality talented, on every echoed member. even in a raid with temporal anomaly+resonating sphere, it is possible to prep up to 10-11 lifebinds and pretty much hit them all with a lay on hands amount of healing. and this is just counting the echoed healing through lifebind
Great and very helpfull guide. Are you planning to release guides for other healers too ?
Temporal Anomaly was working pretty nice for me the the raid today. Still experimenting a lot with the spec. The class in general is amazing so far and love that there are so many different playstyles.
"Sandy Balls", as I call it. Probably one of the most reliable burst heals you can get out of Evoker in Mythic dungeons. I'm almost scared not to run it.
Just wanted to say thank you, I have been attempting to gear up and play an Preservation Evoker and you have shown me how wrong I was playing the class, time to get going and fix my mistakes, thanks again. Hope to see an advanced guide eventually
Extremely late reply but re: Stasis + Cauterizing interaction. I did read recently that some strats have developed where you use Stasis, then Cauterizing on someone who doesn't need it (so it doesn't incur the cooldown) and then you can activate Stasis to get use of more or less a free Cauterizing Flames + another one right away with the actual ability if you need it. This would require good timing and knowing approximately when you need them in advance every time, but it's an interesting thought. Really enjoyed this guide, I haven't fiddled much with Evoker yet but wanted to get some more knowledge in my noggin before I made the leap. :)
thank you good sir
Thanks so much! :D
Hey Growl - do you watch any other content creators for DPS / Tank content? I don't heal but the quality of your videos (and general vibe) keeps me coming back. I'm especially looking for a tank channel to look for M+ pull paths for the upcoming season.
Thanks for such an awesome guide growl just a side question what is currently The best healer for m+ in your opinion for dragonflight?
100k is getting close, mate.
Awesome guide mate. Your guide for druids back in BFA helped me greatly and I hope the case is the same here, definetaly made me realize a few dumb mistakes I'm making that I will need to change. So thanks again and keep the great content coming!
It’s hard to beat time magic and breathing fire when it comes to level of coolness. Also, don’t know if you mentioned it but Azure Strike can be used in place of living flame during heavy movement you don’t have Hover active. Some damage is better than no damage.
Cool thing with echo, it stacks reversions, either having two reversions in one person, or two seperate reversions. Echo verdant embrace works, and you can verdant embrace yourself
Great video! How is the addon/weakaura called, which shows you enemy cast bars on the right section of your screen? Thanks a lot
Super helpful!
I've been fooling around with an Emerald Blossom build with varying success. To really make it work you need the stacking essence spark, power nexus, stasis, both the emerald blossom nodes and the EB keystone in the center. What this does is give your EBs a 60% each time it goes off to recast itself on a new target. Technically it can go indefinitely and I've been getting 3 recasts very regularly. This is important because it can proc your keystone with a single cast which is even more passive aoe healing. Then you want to make sure that your stasis has 3 Blossoms in it, so always use it when you have 2 essence spark stacks and you cast 3 blossoms in rapid succession then cast stasis. With all this in action, you can have something like 6 emerald blossoms on the screen at one time, all jumping around and recasting themselves. Visually it is extremely appealing and worth playing just for that fact alone. Gameplay wise it requires a bit too much of you. You can't really use echos and you have to make sure your stasis only stores blossoms. The aoe healing is insane though and will work even when people are spread out because blossoms will seek them out when recasting themselves. It is heavily RNG dependant though, you need a good stream of both essence spark procs and blossom procs, which is why it will never be a good build for high key level.
Unsure if this as been mentioned, but if you're running Anomaly and Lifebind, you can push out the anomaly and if you're running the meta melee classes, all of them will have Echo- then you VE and all members get the Lifebind talent. Just another way to pump heals if you need.
The 2% party health regen from Visage form is something to remember. But only when in visage
Great guide as always! When will see the Resto Druid guide? 😊
I always do echo on two people (typically the tank and the main dps) then I do dream breath. Works wonderfully.
Hi growl this is friend thanks for helping our healers deal with the zug zug ape lifestyle of melee dps
Amazing guide! One question related to your UI/Nameplate. What is that exclamation symbol that show next to the nameplates?? Makes a sound as a warning for you to be careful! thank you
One small thing, don't use stasis if you're going to cast fire breath, becuase a living flame can bounce to one of your allies and take up a stasis slot.
I kind of like Spirit Bloom, that's the spell I always use with Tip of the Scales/ So I'm using the talent that reduces the CD of Spirit Bloom, so I got more of them. I also like the seedling talents, guess it's my way of playing :D . Also trying out Ouroboros.
i love EVOKER as a healer it is the best for me
Great video! Though I can see you talented Zephyr but didn't mention it? How useful is this abiliity?
Thank you for the guide. I haven't been successful learning any other healer than Shaman, but I was able to complete Bronze healer with the Evoker on the first try. I didn't copy your build, but made me consider why you picked some things you did. Healing is such an art. What are you using for an add-on in the middle of your screen?
thats an weakaura
Well congrats it’s 100k
Great vid Growl. I find myself pretty much Echo+Rev Tank then Echo 1 player then Rev the other. Like always this rotation 99% of time. Is this wrong?
I feel like temporal anomaly will be strong in M+, but I guess I will have to actually put it into play first. it's such a fun spell, but you're right it is clunky
dorkiCheer great vid
Good vid, thanks I was wondering if the ouroboros talent gains stacks from every tick of dreambreath and if so, would it help the evokers low sustained single target healing? (the echo tooltip shown was outdatedby the way)
It doesn't, It also doesn't give more Ouroboros stacks with more charges. I've been playing with it a lot in higher keys, and just poop out a few flowers (Emerald Blossoms) on the tank to get some stacks, and using the increased Echo with a Reversion to increase single target healing. I also find that the EB > Echo > Reversion rotation stored in a Stasis gives me sustained single target when the tank has overpulled or run out of CDs.
I’d recommend people get the tier set before making any final judgments about the spec because man does it make an already fun spec even better. Feels nice in dungeons.
gg onn 100.000 .D mate
the moving while casting from hover works on emerald communion too
Damn, this sounds so complicated in comparison to WotLK and Cata times when I played. Im getting old I guess. Props to the people playing this healer.
Hey growl, new to healing m+ cause evoker got the best of me as a dragon race and as a super fun healer to play. However I'm having some issues and one thing as been bugging me, I almost never get even close to running out of mana, i have 5% haste (not a lot of choice on gears still pushing ilvl), but i don't seem to even be able to burn mana. And I've been wondering if I'm doing something wrong? if it is a perk of the class (as it has essence as a resource), any idea on what i can be messing up? On a side note i follow your tip of trying not to use living flame for heals and focus more on cooldowns and such and still getting the hang on stasis (its harder than i thought >W
Hey yumi considering the resent mw monk buffs, do you think its more viable in m+ ?
Something silly I've found out is that with Temporal Anomaly applying echo, you can extremely quickly get essence burst as Echo-Living Flame will have a chance to proc for every target healed. Combine this with the 40% reduced cast time on living flame after self casting or just generally tossing them out on enemies and it's fun, silly, Emerald Blossom build. Is it extremely high end M+ viable? Probably not because it's not consistent as a proc reliant build, but worth I figured it mentioning because I've found some success with it in the dungeons you can get people to coordinate (rip pugs, I guess) Combine it with stasis and you can easily be dropping Emerald Blossoms like crazy
Finally
grats on 100k SUBS MY DUDE!!! FUCKING SICK
Is temporal anomaly just not that good at 70? I'm finding it amazing at 60 and it is my go to to get echo on the group, even if it is a lesser one, copying the next heal is usually big enough I'm happy with spending the mana. Add in the shield for burst damage and I can't believe I tried getting along without it in my initial build. I can't even imagine trying to heal shade of aran without it. If you have too many ranged in the group it can be a bummer, but with multiple melee it makes me a happy lizard to see echo on the group ready to be popped.
Atm the stat priority is Crit + Versa if you focus dmg (when having a group like Growl where barely healing is needed) and Mastery + Crit if you want to go for big heals.
Basically gear your Evoker as you would gear your rshaman.
Thanks growl
banger
Can you please put a guide as you start a dungeon, what spells to cast etc...
Can you use stasis for a damage rotation as well?
Go Garry !
can you provide the import/export string for the talent build in the description please? That'd be cool
can u make a mythic tier list for dps/healer on beta/release?
Been playing evoker for a week and didnt even know that echo replicating heal thing lol
Surprised you value mastery so low! The argument my healing friends got into resulted in us concluding that having the ability to put out bigger and better hots / general healing (mastery) increased our dps in a way, since we have to spend less time / resources on healing. Not to mention certain fights or weeks where the mythic mechanics are particularly HPS demanding are easier to overcome if mastery stacked. Great video tho
Also a note, if you use Tip the Scales with Spiritbloom during Stasis it does not count for the stasis storage. Must be hardcast.
I have to say I disagree with the preservation talents. I find massive value in the Emerald Blossom talents (Fluttering Seedlings and Field of Dreams) as even if 1-2 people are not in the circle, they receive healing and it can chain several blossoms in a row from Field of Dreams. Tied together with Lifebind on the entire party via Temportal Anomaly with the aoe echo apply. It allows for some insane healing even outside of spiritbloom/dream breath. Not to mention, applying echo to the entire party before letting a Stasis/Rewind rip adds a huge amount of healing
Do you guys have any suggestion for the spark of ingenuity? :) What to use it on?
subscribing cause you sound like fred from scooby-doo
hey , the posted vuhdo profile has bouquets in the hots, but the bouquets are empty... is there a separate import for them?
I keep looking for more information on builds that use temporal anomaly but nobody is putting out anything. It's one of my favorite and top performing spells as well as one of my favorites to combo with statis aoe since it lets me throw one orb to the melee crowd and one to ranged. Plus its a low cd good filler spell to use and if you know that some big aoe dmg is coming it can really create a good mitigation buffer on your melee fighters especially. I dont play with this new ages min-max playstyle where everyone is just a bot reaching for the top charts, so im not viewing the spell from that sort of players mindset.
What is the point of Echo in single target. Hots/damage reductions do not stack in WoW, if you cast a hot twice on the same target one will instantly override the other.
is there a glitch with vuhdo? I cant Naturalize other players even if I click their frame
So if I cast a spell on someone but I have echo on someone else do they both get the heal? Is it like a one use beacon? Newb evoked here.
Yes that seems to be the case. Also a semi new evoker ^_^
how much of haste need the evoker healer? 20% or 30%? anyone knows
