kinda surprising because we were with our own "Mcguire" called Fabricio Bruno, the Marquinhos pupil in PSG Lucas Beraldo, a keeper that still plays in brazilian league and 2 not so top players in left and right defense. In other hand, Paquetá, João Gomes and Bruno Guimarães helped a lot in defense/pass distribution and gave some security and defensive consistency

Current brazil is like the late 2000s and early 2010s madrid, they have no idea how OP they are. Mentally, they aren't strong enough. we might have found our man: our debuting DT, Dorival Jr. He is known here for always turning the fortunes of his teams using the strenght of mind. When he coached Flamengo, he had a guy that is doing fine in England now as a central column of his squad: João Gomes. He is more than willing to do the same now

The problem is much of these talents leave their homes much earlier. They don't have proper education and face life by the age of 12, on average. Many times they are the providers of their whole families by 15, 16 years old. When they actually are getting close to their ultimate dream is when things get heavier on their mental health.

The return of paqueta to that midfield fixed a lot of the problems Brazil had with the lack of creativity in these last games. Midfield looked way better. More chances created and clear cut ones too

Paqueta should have been sent off early in the game, he constantly fouled all game but the referee was very soft. It was a tough match for both teams and deserved a draw in my opinion

except when we got to the world cup quarter final in 2022, and the euro final in 2020, and the world cup semi final in 2018. brazil went out at the same stage in 2022 and in the stage before us in 2018, so our world cup form is technically better going into the next one. it's true in 2014 we didn't get to the knockout stage, but that's also the year brazil got hammered 7-1 by germany, so not a great tournament for either of us really. for all their greatness brazil haven't won the world cup in the last 22 years

Didn't seemed like a friendly match, you could see that both teams really wanted to win, and it was great to watch, Brazil did great but they definitely need to work on the finishing, some of the chances they missed on this match are just unbelievable, I also honestly don't understand how Maguire still plays for England.
