In today’s episode of Figuring Out, we have one of the most loved standup comedians Zakir Khan in conversation with Raj Shamani. This episode will take you in the world of stories and beautiful realisations. While Zakir is sharing some heartwarming stories from his life but those are so relatable that they will feel like your own stories. We talked about how confidence changes in different situations, how success feels to him. He shared his experience being the first Indian comedian to perform at Royal Albert Hall London.
We also had a deep conversation on the art of storytelling, what it takes to be a good storyteller, how storytelling is important in different fields and how lack of it affects relationships. He also shared how one can improve their storytelling skills. We talked about why there is an increasing loneliness felt by today’s generation and how they can overcome it. He also shared some heart moving stories of his father. He described his relationship with his mother and how it has evolved over the years. He also shared some qualities every father should have.
We ended the podcast by talking about the importance of relationships for our mental health and wellbeing and how we can find a balance in each of those relationships. We talked about love and how we can nurture a relationship for years. At the end, Zakir shared what it takes to become a winner in life. This podcast for me, was like watching a movie. I was crying, laughing and my heart felt warmed.

Raj Shamani is a great host, and his grey matter is unrestrained. He should be a guest in some podcast. Nikhil Kamath's podcast didn't do him justice. Raj and Zakir, I wish I could connect in person someday.

Keep a healthy relationship with your loved ones. But at the same time, limit it. Don't over engage. 4. Learn to appreciate others. 5. Learn to become good at conversation, and be good at storytelling. It will help in many areas of your life.

  • Learnings: 1) बड़ा आदमी वो हैं जो छोटा बनकर सिखता है और बड़ा बनकर देता है। 2) You will not be able to analyse a relationship if that relationship is a escape from your family. 3) Every person is intellectual in their on way. 4) Don't take away the authority your mom and dad have on irrespective of your age and keep appreciating them for the sweet nothings they do for you❤ 5)Leave your insecurity to become a confident person.

  • I have seen Zakir Bhai's every podcast and interview on the internet (except trimmed reels). This is hands down the best "podcast or interview". This is like the Tathasthu version of a podcast. I guess he's growing intellectually (as discussed in the video) as well as I feel I'm growing too and can now comprehend a few things better than earlier. Shukriya bhai, once again, bohot seekhne ko milta hai aapse.

  • Zakir sir truly loves his parents, and he gave beautiful answers to some of the most complex questions in his typical humor. Raj ji you are so beautifully natural, I never felt anything fake in your podcast. Keep it up. God bless you. 🌸🙏🏼

  • It was Zakir's podcast with Raj not Raj's podcast with Zakir. It's truly inspirational to watch a Zakir who smoothly transit from speaker to listner. His art of opening the person to start taking and with emotions and memory. I have watched many of Zakir's poddcast but this one is among best of all of the above. Thank You Raj and the whole team of Raj Shamani Podcast.😊
