  • Great to see Charlie Sykes. As a Brit and long time fan of the USA, the main problem with the disintegration of the GOP under Trump and this cowardly Congress is what it may well mean which is the slow decline of American influence in the world and that will be a problem with domestic consequences for the US. Ukraine and Europe are already starting to adjust to the reality of an 'unreliable' America, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan and the Phillipines too are likely to be weighing their options whilst wishing for better from the US. Obviously I don't have a vote but when I lived and worked in the US I would be a natural Republican and despite not being fond of the Democrats, I would certainly vote Biden this time.

  • There are millions of proud Americans with the ethical standards to work in Congress and I count myself in that number. If hired, I will gladly work in Congress as a Democrat or as an Independent. The problem of the Republican Party is that the extreme views of Trump are not acceptable and people in the GOO are quitting out of desperation to deal with him. I have become a more compassionate understanding person but Trump just care about himself. He had all these legal claims and its' companies investigation for ages, way before he became president. He can not say this claims started now because it is not true. Only the election fraud in Fulton county were uncovered more recently, but the NY state investigation on his company has 5-6 years in the making. So he is not saying the truth or lying about the origins of these legal claims against him. The Egene Carroll case also happened many years ago. So these claims are not a witch hunt of the Democratic party.

This is also true of the corporate and non-profit sectors. A salient quote from the Christian Bale Exodus movie is that [sic] "The people best equipped to acquire power are least equipped to wield it (properly)." We as a people in the United States must look at our culture, because our culture impacts so much of our world, and seek a way to fix it. We need to band together to sanction and stop the Narcissists and the Bullies the same way we would other sociopathic personalities like felons.
