Roof top systems have become one of thee most popular mods for Slingshot owners, because they allow both the driver and passenger to spend more time enjoying the drive, and less time worrying about baking in the sun. Thermal R&D has knocked it out of the park with their top design.. dubbed the "Raptor". Thermal R&D is located in Sunny Southern California and is responsible for creating our two most popular selling exhaust systems for the Slingshot, the Dual Rear Exit Touring Exhaust, as well as our Bugatti inspired Dual Sport exhaust. If you own a Thermal R&D product you know first hand that the crafstmanship of their product line is second to none. It's truly top of the line stuff. Well their new Raptor Roof Top System is no exception. The roof top took 6 months to design and is manufactured right here in the U.S.A. The entire top frame is constructed from tig welded aluminum tubing and topped off with removable aluminum roof panels, then powder coated with a lightly textured satin black finish giving the product an aggresive, yet refined look. The build quality is unreal... even when you look up from the drivers seat you'll appreciate just how much good ole' fashion American ingenuity went into this product.

My favorite roof mod for the slingshot. Does not require any drilling or cutting into the fame and is completely removable.

This is my next mod for my blue and orange slingshot. It's gonna be a removable raptor roof with color-matching paint. It will also have my slingshot's name "Nebula " on the front, an LED slingshot emblem, Lights, and disco domes on the outside as well as speakers, LED lights, and color-matched air blasters with misting effects on the inside. On top of that, it will also be removable for an open-air slingshot experience.

The roof looks better without the little wing doors,like a t top roof 🤔 Might have to get 1
Got my roof this past week, install went smooth until trying to align the passenger side wing, catch doesn't latch unless slamming door down, the front side bars do not align, doesn't look like the passenger side angles for attaching the front mirror mount and the round post mount is aligned correctly, removing roof again and going through install again to see if i missed any thing. All the welds and paint look good only complaint i would have is parts alignment. My sling shot is 2023 with round roll bars.

How about luggage rack one on each side on the back near your head.On top a break light in the center would be nice so people can see you ☺️ better
Hello Marvin, we're actually designing both of those things. They'll be a "center" mount cooler or luggage rack option that replaces the rear panel. We'll also have luggage racks for both driver and passenger side roll hoops as well as a rear spoiler with integrated center running and brake light coming later this year.
That's funny, those were the exact two mods I had thought about as well. I've ordered this roof from Slingmods, but they won't being making another batch until late Sep. I'm waiting patiently, but sure wish they could expedite! Other people with other roofs mount LED light bars in the front, but some complain of glare reflecting on the wind screens, so for me that's out.

If SS owners reading these threads haven't found you yet, they need too! I know it's the manufacturer I'm waiting for the roof, I should have stated I wish "they" could expedite. That looks like an amazing roof system, in my opinion, and now there may be additional options for this roof is truly exciting news!

Hello Sarah, we don't have a full shield designed specifically for the Raptor roof top, but if you're okay with something close.. I'd recommend our F4 shield for the greatest coverage. That can be found here: www.slingmods.com/polaris-slingshot-replacement-windshield The F4 shields are also the most "scratch resistant" shield we offer.

Yeah.. we actually wanted to make an A/C to replace that rear panel.. but it's not something we every completed. That would be super cool on those hot summer days!
2021 R Roof Top w/4 Removeable panels not as easy now, has Allen head screws w/nylon nuts.. Disappointing

You don't need a Sling, you need a car.
Other than being able to install speakers in the roof top, why is this rooftop so much more expensive than your others. Pretty much the same materials; just a lot more complicated to install which is no fun at all.
Hello Steve... the Raptor Wings and Aluminum Roof panels are what makes this roof more expensive than our Canvas Roof Top.
