    • I can't say that as Hayward being in the lineup had defensive issues. I would even say since he got injured it pushed the starting team to put Baynes in at Center which allowed Horford to be a natural 4 which helped them out. The problem however was the lack of offensive help and relying on 2 young forwards to replace that second option in the unit that Hayward would've filled. Which in turn bloated their heads up when the team had success with them being in the starting lineup along with it being blown up even more when Kyrie goes down. As the reality to their success in the regular season was due to the offensive prowess of Kyrie and Horford carrying the team. Along with Smart, Horford, and Baynes carrying the team Defensively with Rozier being a spark plug off the bench in the reserve Point Guard role. The latter Defensively plus Rozier is why that team had success in the playoffs due to home court advantage. Which without that they were 1-7 on the road in the playoffs.

    • How is that on Kyrie when he only spent 2 seasons with them? Tatum and Brown get alot of touches because they are 1) Lottery picks. 2) Young players given the keys to a team. 3) Annoited as All Stars so they really don't defer to anyone.

    • He left because of management and the coach. A coach who would put Hayward in immediately as a starter first game into the season after he just got cleared for 5v5 work just 2 weeks prior. Did it because Gordon Hayward was his boy. Then Management as they held Rozier there inorder to try and replace Kyrie and lied to Rozier about his playing time and money just so they can do a cheeky thing like hold leverage against Kyrie if he doesn't comply/stay. That didn't go well with Rozier as he was pissed by not only not getting a new contract but seeing Hayward who clearly wasn't ready getting playing time over him which made Rozier's minutes limited. You can't get a big contract if u can't play to show a team that u should get a big deal in the first place. Kyrie saw this as he knew Brad wasn't going anywhere in the next 3 years as well as Ainge. Knew how fans blamed him for the failure to get a chip that season and decided to leave while he was a free agent to his hometown team. Boston however salty about him leaving threw shots his way and replaced him with Kemba Walker which didn't do anything. As they finally made the Finals when Stevens was no longer the coach and Ainge wasn't the GM. Showing the problem in Boston was never just Kyrie Irving

      @BlackDragonRuler@BlackDragonRuler8 ай бұрын
    • That really only speaks to how weak the eastern confrence was at the time, rather than the strengths of Daniel Thiess, Jonas Jerebko, Guerschon Yabusele and Aaron Baynes, and the random other scrubs that were on the team. Even if they’d never fallen off from skill from then to now, none of them would get minutes, even on the current Celtics. Take y’all green glasses off for a second. And don’t come for me either cause I’ve been following this team since they sucked in the 90’s.

It was the consensus that they had one of the most talented rosters in the league. Stop it.
